Sure, such a sensor is there.

Caewil's check of her Master's vitals reveals that she is steadily weakening, as from some kind of wasting disease, which the scanner confirms. Somewhere along the way she seems to have contracted some kind of parasite that is now poisoning her blood and draining her strength... Nothing a multipurpose antibiotic can't cure, but it ran unchecked for far too long. Now, it will be a close call and Caewil will have her work cut out for her to keep Reilan alive until they reach a better equipped facility.

Calith

After helping to carry Reilan to the medbay, Calith stands back and watches the events unfold. As the scanner spits out what has gone wrong, a horrible sense of disquiet fills him. "How..." He bites his lip. Is it airborne? Does it attack everyone or is it some sort of generated Rakatan disease that attacks those who feel the Force...or is it what stripped them of the Force?

"Caewil, I must return to my room right now. I need to...I need to center myself. This is worrying me greatly, but I would like to speak to you on some general matters later. It's nothing critical, but I could use a fresh perspective." If Caewil does not object, he briskly goes to his cabin to meditate. It's like seeing a maelstrom on the horizon, not being able to move, and wondering if it's going to hit. By the Force, why am I here?

Caewil

"Go ahead. It doesn't seem to be any more than a garden-variety parasite - But if there is some influence of the dark side playing a part in all this, I may require your expertise in the Force."

"But before you go," says Caewil, tapping the scanner. "I should run a check on you as well."

Calith

Calith sticks around for the scan, but scoffs some at her mention of "expertise." "All I have is experience and the Living Force to guide me. I'm no Master, nor do I wish to be." His tone is flat and level, showing no aggression. "I will be happy to share, but your value may vary.

"In truth, you may be able to teach me more than you realize."

[Liliedhe]

Both scans come up clear - neither Caewil nor Calith are infected.

Her treatment of her master is successful, in a way. Her vital signs become a little stronger and she doesn't look on the verge of dying anymore, but she isn't out of the jungle yet.

Meanwhile, the ship continues to streak through hyperspace towards Arcania and the known universe. Denan hovers anxiously in the background of the bridge...

"When we reach Arcania, I'll pay the rest of your money and you are free to go wherever you want", he finally says.

[Ascension]

"Fair enough," Soranus concedes, "I'm sorry things went so... not according to plan. But at least we know a little bit of what's out there now."

[Liliedhe]

"Believe me, I'm sorry, too. But, sorry doesn't change a thing. I'll better inform the others."

With that he leaves and seeks out Caewil and Calith to inform them of his decision to abort the mission.

In other words, sorry, folks, but that's it. You are going home (as you probably wanted to do anyway), and this game ends.

Sorry, it didn't work out as I hoped to, but this was going nowhere fast - better to stop it.
