Fine I angrily float over.

"They sure don't make grenades like they used to..." Marcus grumbles.

He turns his head to Scio.

"Oh no, don't you go getting yourself involved. This is still our 'game.'"

Marcus reaches around to the small of his back to retrieve his long-unused lightsaber.

"And if that's how she wants to play it, I got one of your fancy laser swords right here."

Scio stopped where he was , tilting his head at Marcus. "...Where did you get that? Huh very well then, this is still your affair, I suppose. Until later Jedi" Scio nodded his head at Marcus and flicked his hilt in Nakre's direction.

[Ascension]

"They had a whole rack of them at a convenience store, right by the slushie machine."

Marcus ignites the blade.

"It's blueberry flavor."

Calith

"That's IT! I have HAD IT with your petty nonsense! This game ends now." Calith drifts over and reactivates the gravity, having had enough of this nonsense. "Jedi, you will release the boy this instant. Marcus, you will stop antagonizing the Jedi; even YOU can't be that foolish! We will NOT GO AROUND KILLING EACH OTHER!

Despite the fact that he is screaming at the top of his lungs, he is not angry. To him, this is nothing more than group disharmony that requires strong leadership...the voice of an officer.

"That's an ORDER, people! NOW!"

The woman - who let go of Marcus after the grenade detonated - watched the rest of the display with a dispassionate expression on her face. She casually flicks Scio's lightsabre hilt back to him, never making any move for getting her own.

Calith's effort to restore order she greets with a slight, approving nod, settling down gracefully when he restores gravity.

"Interesting." Her gaze wanders over the group.

Scio took his lightsaber and placed it back in its place, then atared at the Jedi. " Oh, you clever, manipulating, old hag. We just got played, didn't we? Well done, i must say, well done. My offer still stands anyway, I need a sparring partner .

Calith

Grumbling some about Jedi manipulation, Calith turns and storms out some. How dare she! How dare I let her! If I were less of a man, I ought to...

He shakes his head violently, clearing those thoughts. Don't get angry; there's nothing to get angry about. It wasn't YOU that she began dangling about and made a fool of...at least, directly. When the Jedi approve of your actions, it means that you are playing into their hands. No; not this time.

He rubs his temples some, grabs his belt from where it falls, then leans against the wall should another argument break out.

Caewil

Caewil returns from the medbay, this time bandage-less and slightly flushed. "Did you feel that? We must have glanced off an... Wait. Erm..." She pauses while looking around at everyone. "Did I miss something?"

"I might take you up on it one day." She nods to Scio, before she moves towards her Padawan. Scrutinizing her intently, she folds her hands into her sleeves.

"Do you think you missed something important, Padawan? If so, why weren't you here?" The tension in the room is quite palpable, but fading. The fresh paint on floor and ceiling has some new scratches. The looks the others give the Jedi Master aren't too friendly, but that's not really unusual in Caewil's experience...

So that's how mammals play games. Yes, the part about them being agressive like feral Quarren had clearly not been exagerated, as she somehow had hoped ... suddenly, the journey didn't seem quite so exciting any more.

When the grenade was placed in the room, she took a quick dive out of the room, next to a pressure shutter, on the off chance that, should the hull take damage, only part of the ship would disintegrate and the remains fall out of hyperspace somewhere where they might appreciate not immediatly dying ... luckily, nothing of that sort happens, but the mere idea of detonating grenades on spaceships for sport is enough to seriously worry her.

When the Jedi's Padawan walks past her, she's rather glad not to be noticed again ... she then hurries into the room to assess the damage, tapping her datapad to call and notify repair droids as needed.

Aaaaaand that's my cue to depart. All this excitement is making me hungry. Calith slips out of the cargo bay quietly and makes his way toward the galley to prepare a small snack. Perhaps he would make some for the others, but only if they decided to follow and put some space between themselves and the Jedi schutta.

Despite his rough looks, Calith is a very good cook; another skill he picked up along the way. Traveling along during the war brought him to many planets with interesting cooking styles and dishes. What he had a hankering for was a type of sandwich the Duros served in the more upscale restaurants. Not all spoils of victory last...but DAMN it was good.

@Jind Mahi:

Looks like the ship is up to the challenge - besides some scuffed paint, there is no damage. Just as she wants to enter her cabin, a very flustered and clearly shocked Denan Tryst appears out of his own room. He's just wearing a towel, which should allow her some ... interesting insights about mammalian anatomy.

"What happened? Is the route unsafe?" He seems less scared, and more... like guilty? "Did we crash into something?"

Their parents should have stomped on their eggs as soon as they were laid, she thought furiously as she wasn't assigned any droid at all. Surveying the scratches, she noted them for a later manual repair. Damn mammals ...

When the voice sounds behind her back, she jolts startledly, and takes a few seconds to push her shock-bristled face barbles back in place before facing him. Scanning him top to bottom with one eye, she uses the other to make eye contact.

"No. Some ... the Jedi and the pilot, with the others ... watching, if you will ... played a round of gravball. And frankly, are you people out of your mind? Playing games that involve detonating grenades and drawing light sabers to solve whatever disputes you have during that funny game on starships in mid-transit on an unstable route? The shock might drive us off course and have us collide with a star's gravity pattern at 1000 times lightspeed!"

She furiously shakes her head, calming down the barbles again that have risen again, trying to calm down. "Look, I know I'm just a mere technichan, but that just must not be done on a spaceship!"

How much of his physiology is visible, and OOC, does he look like he came from the shower or from doing something he might feel embarassed about with someone else? This is just an OOC info so I can imagine the scene.

Denan flinches. "What? Is she crazy?" He starts to run down the corridor towards the cargo bay, completely forgetting his half naked state...

"Uhm, I don't know, is she? Isn't that how gravball is played?" She proceeds to follow the man ... wondering why the man is so dripping wet, and carefully, as to not irritate him, looking at his physiology, noting the glaring differences to hers.

"Anyway, it appeared to me that the pilot taunted her - I wasn't sure if thatw as part of the game. If you don't mind me asking, are your race's games always so ... violent?"

At first he seems to be oblivious to the Mon Calamari racing behind him, then what she said sinks in and he stops rather abruptely.

"Are you saying Master Nakre tossed a grenade?" His eyes are wide with shock now, an effect that is less than pretty on an Arkanian. Nauseating would be more to the point...

[Ascension]

Marcus shuts off his blade as he falls, sparing the floor from a rather large gash, but does not put his saber away entirely.

He attempts to walk away, pausing only to remark to Caewil, "I don't know if you've noticed this, but your master's insane."

She stops, startled. "No! Jedi aren't supposed to do such things, aren't they? It was the pilot, Marcus. As a ball, for all I figured, since Master Narke took no steps against it ... I had a bit of a hard time following, though, what with everyone being so ... tense and agressive ..."

She thinks for a bit. "It appears some of the others, the auxiliaries, had some kind of chip on their shoulders, regarding the Jedi."

@Marcus:

Nobody stops him from leaving the cargo room.


@Jind Mahi:

The dripping man sighs. Then he looks down to the rather large puddle forming at his feet. "I should better get dressed..." But he doesn't walk away yet.

"I don't know. But my... Master Nakre tends to invite these sentiments. She... isn't nice." He sighs again, looking suddenly very young.

She shakes her head in sympathy. "Yes, she is like the world she is from, cold and harsh. But ... that ... that was totally foolhardy. I - it may not be my place to say this, but this would at the very least gain him dishonourable discharge, possibly even a full fledged court martial, if this was one of our ships, for endagnering everything and everyone on board."

She sighs, producing a bubbling sound. "You have trouble with her too, don't you?"

If she feels odd talking to a mostrly naked, dripping wet man, she totally doesn't show this.

@Jind Mahi:

"In a way... Well..." Suddenly, the situation seems to finally dawn on him and he gives a slight, embarrassed squeak. "Maybe we should talk about that later... I have to get dressed..."

Scio looks around the room and notices he appears to be alone in a room with a Jedi and her apprentice. He nervously turns to leave, but says this beofre starting to move from the cargo bay. "See, now if you jedi put have the energy you put into being arrogant and manipulative into actually giving a crap about the galaxy and those in it, we wouldnt be in this mess right now."

[Liliedhe]

The Arkanian nods softly. "I see. Well, Padawan, do you have any idea on what to tell this angry young man?" She steps aside to let Caewil make eye contact with Scio and answer him.

[Druid_lord]

I wonder what your game is here, old woman. Scio turned around, seeming looking at Caewil through the cloth around his eyes, and waiting.

She doesn't really see such a pressing need, as it's not terribly cold here, but nods, which signals agreement ith mammals. "Well, uh, maybe, yes. But ... please, adress this with the pilot."

@Jind Mahi:

"I will." He hastily makes his retreat to his quarters, clutching the towel like a lifeline and leaving wet footprints on the floor.

Looking after him, she gives off a confused sound; she just really cannot figure out these mammals. The Arkanians at least were predictably hostile, these others were clearly raving mad or something ... she then decides to go back to her quarters, take a quick bath, and think about all this, hoping the pilot would not again detonate something ...

After that, she would return to the bridge, still distressed, and hoping the reckless pilot would be called on his deed ...

Caewil

Caewil avoids her master's look and says "Whatever harm the Jedi have caused... Well, it's better than the alternative. At least, that's what I think."

She smiles slightly then adds, "Although some might perhaps prefer it if the Jedi did not get involved at all. I'll agree that the order does tend to make politics more messy than it already is."

"Still, it's a pretty normal establishment of social dominance patterns. Better to have it over with now than stewing over it the rest of the voyage."
