"No," Svendran replies, "we saw you were in need of assistance and supplied it. Svendran Heimdall" he extends his hand and sheaths his sword.

Hlethiuk says nothing, but steps out from behind the crate and lowers his hood.

"I suppose I should thank you. It was just a bit traumatic watching chop his head off. Maybe I shouldn't worry about. I have no doubt that he would have killed me." she seems troubled, but not not about the dead gangbangers.

"Something wrong?"

"It's nothing you need to worry about. My nephew has gone missing and I can't find him. I promised my brother I would look after his son just before he died, but I guess I couldn't keep it. I was looking for him when those men attacked me." She sinks to the ground and begins to sob. "It's my fault! I failed him!"

Svendran kneels beside her. "He was probably kidnapped. We're working on finding the rogues now. Any information you have would be useful."

She sobs some more, tears running down her face and mixing with the blood and mud. "They left a note. It said "The door to heaven shall be opened once more! The unrighteous shall be purged in it's divine flame!" Do you know what that means? I took it to the city guard and they told me they would investigate it." She buries her face in her hands and shakes uncontrollably. "Please find him! He's all I have left."

Shagga says softly,

"Where did you last see the boy? How long ago was it? Perhaps we might be able to find him for you."

"A cult, that means they shouldn't be too hard to find if we pose as potential converts. Where did you find the note?

""They must have come when I was out earning money yesterday. I usually take him with me, but I didn't want him to see what I had to do yesterday. It wasn't something you bring a child along for. So I left him at home and asked a neighbor to watch him. I guess they didn't. When I came home, the door was open and he was gone. At first I thought he had wandered off, but then I saw the note on the bed.

"Was the neighbor gone as well? Did you trust them?"

"The neighbor was at home. He had never even come over."

Hlethiuk Nescvas: Kobold

For the first time, Hlethiuk speaks, in a hissing, barely audibly voice.
"Where is the neighbor now?"

She looks at the kobold with surprise. She hadn't actually noticed him until now "I don't know where he is, but he doesn't have a proffesion so he is probably at home."

Hlethiuk shakes his head, a little annoyed,
"Well, where is his house?"

As he says this, he puts away his shortbow.

Shagga looks over the dead bodies for any possesions that might be of value or significance while saying, "That trail is too cold for wolf to follow. Perhaps your neighbor can shine some light on who visited your house."

Shagga finds a 6 pieces of silver and two daggers on the bodies. The woman whose name you don't know says "I can take you to where I live, but I will be shunned for consorting with the likes of you. Peple around here don't like Hobgoblins and Kobolds."

Hlethiuk is slightly put off by the way she brands him as 'a kobold'.
"To be honest, I don't really give a damn about what people think about you. I just want to find the kidnappers."

Anger flashes across her face "You don't care what people think? What about me? What will they think I am doing with you? Maybe I'm doing something underhanded? Maybe I'm going to have you kill them? Pelor knows there are enough kobold criminals in this city! They might call the Guard on me! I'm sure they'll be willing to listen to my case!" She catches her breath. "I'm desperate to find my nephew. I'll take to my home, but follow at a distance and don't act like you know me."

Shagga shurgs at the woman's request. It wasn't like he had been accepted anywhere else, why should this town be any different. He gathers up the possesions of the thugs and follows after the woman, being careful to not get too close.

She leads the 4 of you through the streets of Ramrir. Along the way you see prostitutes, boarded up shops, and very mean looking people who look like they will attack you but then stop when they see the wolf. It is not a very long journey and you reach her house in about 15 minutes. She motions for you to stay where you are and walks over to one of the run down homes and knocks on the door. A man opens it and looks in surprise at her. "Celine! What happened to you? You look horrible!" She answers by headbutting him in the nose, knocking down. She is on him immediately, throttling him. "What did you do with Matthew you son of a bitch!"

Svendran keeps a wary eye on the situation. The woman was in control, for now. He draws his blade slowly, while the man is still stunned, and tucks it behind his arm. Ready for use but out of the way should the conflict turn nasty.

When he arrives in the house, Hlethiuk leans against the wall, watching the violent scene play out, and looking for anything that might be signivigant around the house.

You see a child playing with a puppy and not much else.

The anger of a mother who has lost her cub is something even the stout of heart fear. Shagga let the woman rage on the fallen man, knowing that she would not kill him. She wanted information, and if he knew something he was most likly to tell her if they were not around.

He moves to stand by Svendran and says quietly, "Do you think he knows anything?"

Svendran whispers back. "I'm not sure. I suspect he just shirked his duties. If he was a cult member it'd be too obvious a link. You never know though. What do you think?"

"If he did back out on watching the kid, the question is why? Why agree, then not do it? The child was old enough to tell. I think he might have some other motivation besides laziness, and that is probably our best lead right now."

Celine stops throttling the poor man and says something you can not hear. You do not know what the man said, but she must not have liked it, because she punches him in the mouth. Then she walks back to where you are. "He doesn't know anything. He's just a lazy bastard who never does anything. I never should have trusted him with my nephew."

When Celine sees you over by her neighbor, she does a kind of half scream with out actually opening her mouth and tries to motion you away from the man. He looks up in surprise and fear to see a kobold standing over him. "Who are you?" he says in a timid voice.
