    Well, as my one remaining ranged attack has been ruled to fail, Rathe's going to need cover to contribute to this fight. If only for a round, to use FF So, is their any source of cover in here..

    Hard to tell whether it was intelligent, but it wasn't stopping. For that matter, intelligence didn't mean it wouldn't try to eat her. If she was wrong about its intentions... well, that would be a pity, but these things happened.

    She adjusts her aim to one of the thing's legs, steadies the laser rifle, fires again when its gaze is elsewhere.

    Attack (1d20+10)[15], damage (3d6+4)[18]. Dastardly Strike moves the thing 1 step down on the condition track, and if this qualifies for Advantageous Attack (see Force Unleashed for information), add 4 damage. Then hide again: (1d20+8)[24], and hope for distance penalties

    Aiming, shooting, and sniping requires 2 turns per shot, so make sure to include that when determining how fast it's closing. Let me know when it gets within 20 squares or so...

    Damn. She doesn't like her chances of taking it down before it reaches her; holding the rifle in one hand, she leaves the cover of the doorway, heading for an empty-looking building and hoping to be able to lose it for a little while in there.

    Taking your advice from the OOC thread, and heading for a nearby building she can try and lose it in. I'm not sure how this works mechanically; roll Stealth, or whatever else, as needed.

    If possible, she'll try to leave via an open window as the thing enters the door, hoping to get some distance while it's searching inside.

    She dives from cover and runs over to another building, and ducks into it. The creature still follows her at a full run, but it isn't faster than she is, so she gets into cover before it reaches her. But now, it's out of her sight - she can try to run up the stairs of the building, or deeper into the ground level.

    The tunnel is quite dark, with only minimal lights along the walls painting it in a faint green. It slopes down for maybe 50m, then there is another heavy, fortified door. It is big enough to drive the transport down the tunnel.

    Thinking quickly, Jena darts up the stairs, trying to keep her footsteps relatively quiet but not slowing to do so. On the second story, she pauses, moving into first one room and then another one with an open window. She removes a glove, tossing it hurriedly behind something, and then moves over to the window, listening and staying out of sight of the street. When she thinks the creature has entered the building (if it hasn't already), she climbs through the window and drops to the ground.

    Once out, she makes for an alleyway or other place that can keep her out of sight while she gets some distance on the creature, making her way back towards the skyscraper she came from.

    The idea with entering two rooms, and with leaving the glove, is that it might confuse the creature's scent tracking enough to give her a little bit more time, even if it's only a few extra seconds. Perception to gauge when the creature enters the building: (1d20+17)[25]

    Stealth checks as necessary; most probably take a -5 penalty this turn, since she's moving at a hustle, and may or may not get bonuses for cover or total cover. I don't know whether you want to roll everything that might call for a Stealth check (not making noise while climbing the stairs, not being detected leaving the house, staying out of sight after leaving the house), or roll it all into one, so I'll let you decide and roll. Again, re-roll if the initial roll is under 7 or so...

    By the time she is up, the creature is in the house. It's moving FAST now. When she drops out of the window, it already goes up the stairs, but her trick fools it for a moment - it goes into the other room first.

    She drops down several meters [around 5 - Jump or Acrobatics check please] and lands on the ground...

    I believe this part of Acrobatics is trained only, so it'll have to be Jump. (1d20+5)[24]

    She's probably taking damage, though: (2d6)[2][1](3) If the Jump check is 15 or above, she only takes the second die; if she gets a natural 20, she takes no damage and doesn't have to spend a move action getting up.

    She lands well, and rises to move away at a soft jog, keeping to the side of the street so that it would be hard to see her from the window. A scent trail would be hard to follow out the window, but she's not willing to assume the creature wouldn't pick up her trail again; she'd be prepared when it came following.

    Once she has several meters between her and the building, she slows, skulking along the side of the street. It would likely search through the house for a little while again, then come out when it realized it wasn't going to find her there. She keeps an eye on the entrance, ready to freeze or duck into the nearest bolthole if it came out.

    Should it come out before she reaches the skyscraper, Stealth check is (1d20+18)[31].

    If she reaches the skyscraper, she'll settle in there using the entrance to the stairwell to get cover, and wait for it to emerge. Use the above Stealth roll for that.
