QT rummages through a compartment in it's lower torso, pulling out a security kit. "How much time do we have? I am good with security systems, but not great. Someone watch in case company comes knocking." The droid slips over to the blast doors and does what can best be described as sighs. They need your skills, not your combat prowess. Such is the way with a droid. It is simple, some might even say demeaning, but it counts for a lot. If I hadn't cracked that Imp code, we wouldn't have known about this installation beforehand...not that the knowledge did us much good. He hooks the kit in and gets to work.

QT moves forward, past the last two 'cells' and starts to work on the blast doors, but they do not budge.

Rathe doesn't have to cut the door open. The empty cell is not locked. It contains no furniture, but there is no confusion about what messages Whie meant: The walls are full of graffiti, scrawled on in what looks suspiciously like blood, or scratched into the ferrocrete...

With an effort, she tried to focus, to reed them, but they were somewhat indistinct. Then she heard the sonds of QT's mangled attempts to open the door.

Belay that. Sorry QT, but... could you get in that room, and take a few Holo-pics? Good resolution. Looks like the messages were written in Basic, but I can't make it out.

She smiled

Don't worry. I'll get this thing open whilst your doing that

Assuming acquiescence, Rathe quickly takes QTs security kit, and sets about doing just that.

The door seemingly required a woman's touch, for it yields to Rathe's efforts quickly - spewing out a thick, choking cloud of green gas... The room behind it is flooded with it.

The others seem to be taking their sweet time to return and pick her up... It's quite windy up there, and occasionally dust clouds get blown over the walkway, making it seem like she's in the middle of the desert.

From her vantage point she can see quite a lot of the ruined city, and suddenly movement attracts her eye. Three swoop bikes race through one of the canyonlike streets and stop on a plaza... Their riders dismount, seemingly waiting for something.

"Right. Let's get out of here."

Rissa withdraws from the room with Teese in tow.

Well, unless he tries to escape, but he hasn't seemed to be interested in that...

Rathe opens her mouth to speak, after panting a little, once she, Rissa and Teese make it to the elevator/staircase.

Ok. Whilst QT's doing that, best we pay a call on the upper levels, I think. Apart from anything else, there's a certian little scientist I want to have a few words with

Teese, can we get to Arbor's room without going through the command center?

She turns around, with a light smile.

Stares I think. Elevator allows us to get there quicker, but is more likely to be trapped.

With that, she starts going rather quickly up the stares, heading towards the upper level, as indicated by Teese.

She sighs.

After setting Teese free she follows Rathe up the stairs.

You climb up the stairs and are halfway up, when a couple of nice little surprises clatter down towards you...

Grenades! Seems like someone heard you coming.

Rathe knows enough to focus. With an effort, she throws herself forward, past the grenades, hand outstretched, trying to focus on the closer grenade

Move as far away from the grenades as possible They are a two square radius, right? On stares, that should be workable, no, with a move action 6 squares)? And a standard action to use move light object to chuck the closer grenade back where it came from.

How abandoned is this place, really? Of course, the swoop riders are likely not here by coincidence. She crouches, unslinging her laser rifle from her back again and peering through the scope at the riders.

Perception (1d20+17)[24], minus range penalties. Technically, the targeting scope provides no help with Perception checks, but it seems a little odd that I can hit a target at 150 squares without penalty, despite not being able to make out any detail (-75 to Perception checks)... Is it possible to have the scope act like electrobinoculars? I'd be willing to subtract the price of the binoculars.

She should already be concealed, since she's not about to wait in the open; take 10 on a Stealth check, for a 28.

I agree with you on the scope. Just subtract the price for binoculars and you can use it for both.

The three swoop riders are all dressed in mismatched clothes with an emphasis on black leather, so she concludes they probably belong to some sort of gang. They sit there, waiting, and seem quite nervous.

Then, a fourth bike roars forth between to burnt out ruins and grinds to a halt before them. It's rider is a huge Togorian, dressed similarly. He tosses something to the lead rider, who catches it...

At the sound of the grenades Rissa will dash forward, running up the stairs. With luck the grenades will overshoot her and she'll avoid their blast radii. If not... damn.

The grenades overshoot you and detonate at the foot of the stairs, cutting off your escape (at least if you are not willing to leap). The one Rathe tosses back explodes and you hear shouts and groans... Then, a hail of blasterfire starts. Walking up there seems to be the equivalent of walking into a meatgrinder.

With that, and a brief closing of the eyes, her trademark blue energy field seems to envelope Rathe. Smiling, she starts walking straight into the blaster fire, saber out

And how much ammo do they have? They seem likely to run out of it before anything else. And IIRC, the armory was noted as on the ground floor.
