Well, then I must be completely honest. I mean to leave this town, any way neccesary. My comrades and I have decided to go adventuring, and since you appear to be adventurers yourself I thought finding what magic you had would be a good gauge of your experience. Well I am not actually plotting against you, your current plan for adventure may hinder my plan of leaving this small town. You see, it appears we are after a common goal here, and unless I'm mistaken and you feel like sharing with me, you would feel more inclined to get me out of your way. I was preparing myself if that event were to come up.

He snaps up his gold piece, and begins to talk. Well, they're adventures, ain't they. Big one's Auric, that sneaky woman is Tirra, and the man speaking elven right now is Khellek. From what I've gathered the past few days, they plan on exploring one of the cairns outside of town, looking for treasure and adventure. I'm fairly certain that is their entire reason for being here . . . I have never seen them before this month, and I certainly never heard of them before that.
That, my friend, is all I know.

You plan to explore the cairn? Well, I may tell you then, that I have no plans of sharing . . . and if you want to get in our way, we will make sure to find a way to get rid of you. Whatever treasures and glories to be found in the Stirgenest Cairn are ours for the taking.
((Hearing the last part about the stirgenest, and being a local, makes you laugh a little bit. Stirgenest has been empty for years, most everyone in town knows that.))

Here, that's for the ale keep the change.

Maxwell walks back to where the rest of the party is with his mug of ale in hand. He sits back down to observe the interaction between the elf and the bearded man. He does all this avoiding eye contact with both of them.

He whispers to Jat:

I talked to the bartender over there, but I didn't find out anything but their names, what's going on here?

Jat tells him, without whispering, "Aww, these two are just twittering away in their pretty little elf language. My Elven is a little rusty, but I think the other one is a streetwalker, and Chaths is negotiating fiercely for a cheaper price."

Hearing the Jat's commented Chaths turns to him

And as for you gnome. The way you speak could be interpretted as an insult, though I'm sure you mean no offense. Actually, Khellek is an adventurer, and we were simply discussing the fact that both of our parties plan on exploring the cairns for treasure, and that neither intends to share whatever we find with the other.

"So, now that you two are done having your personal discusssions about the fate of multiple persons - but in a private-language forum where all interested parties can neither comment, advise, nor respond, Chaths," Jat says wryly, "are we ready to head out?"
