She takes the drone. "Sigma?" The masked Tuxedo man enters and takes it from Which.

Which then extends her other hand, and the magic visibly leaves the scarf in waves of light, then concentrates in a specific point over her palm. Then it turns into a stone. The scarf never leaves its owner's hand.

She hands the stone to Sigma, who bows, and takes both things away.

"Payment received. Now, for your wishes, Plum will escort you to the Portal."

"Yes, mistress!" Says the girl in the maid outfit. "Now, please follow me!"

After they get up, Plum leads them down the hall, to the last door on the right. The room is empty save for a very tall mirror. "Now, then! Allow me to explain! This mirror is a Portal, it will take you where you want to go and back. The Portal will stay fixed in one location on the other plane, and no one can close it or use up the trip back instead of you. The Portal will also not disappear with time, so take all the time you need.

HOWEVER! Remember, it's only a two-way trip! Goes from the Shop to your desired location and back to the Shop. Don't misuse it!

Now, if you have any questions, now is a good time to ask. If you have no other questions, then please step through the Portal and have a safe trip!" She curtsies at the two travelers.

Hansel's Bakery

"Hmmm. Well, normally someone is up front..."
Grace seems a bit unsure as to how to go about this as well, and looks around the bakery for some kind of clue. The other patrons steadfastly ignore her.
"That's probably Hansel in the back."
She says, tilting her head as she listens to the humming.

There's a wall behind the counter with a long, somewhat short window in it that gives a bit of a view to the back of the bakery, where there are rows of ovens and loaves, and various meats partially or entirely prepared, among other things. A keen eye might note some movement at the edge of the window, where one of the bakers (Hansel?) is just out of sight.

Eric leans on the counter. "I guess we just have to wait for a bit, huh?" he shrugs. He may be hungry, but five minutes isn't going to make much of a difference to him. May as well enjoy this time while it was around. Grace was certainly someone he liked to talk to.

"Back on the train, you mentioned there were organizations around the Nexus. Can you tell me about those? Are you part of one?"

Raril watches Zee walk off, but doesn't follow yet. He looks to the professors. "So, where is the cemetary?"

Jeremy puts the scarf back on, imagining that it was already duller, even though he knows it's not true. Once shown the portal, he looks at Shawna. "My place, or yours?"

Shawna bites her lip a little, and takes a deep breath.
"Well. How about my place first?" she asks, looking up at Jeremy and smiling, although he might be able to tell the portal makes her a little nervous.

Jeremy begins to step forward, but stops to kiss her cheek. "I hope there aren't too many laws about weapons, because I'm fairly sure I'm about to break them."

Shawna smiles at the kiss.
Then grins at Jeremy's words.
"Well. I suppose that what they do not know will not hurt them."
Chuckling, she goes to link her arm in his and step forwards!

Reinholdt would normally ask, but... Raril beat him to it!
I'm sure that's it.

Reinholdt slowly trudges along after Zee, just fast enough to keep pace.

Delta thinks for a moment, biting her lip. Then she sighs. I think I'm gonna hold off on that. I'm not ready to know yet.

Yellow Zone - Alley

Fade will find no signs of damage. However, there is a small potted plant laying in the alley. It has broad leaves and a large bulb in the middle. The bulb has a kind of purplish tint to it.

Fade will pick it up but he won't investigate it more he isn't a druid, neither he has a shadow of one.

"I'm not a druid, but this doesn't seem like a normal plant due to the lightning bolt befor."

Zefir appears near one of the stations and takes a look. He wears a cap and his sunglasses.

"So this is the Riftline intressting."

If not stoped he will buy a ticket and take a ride on it just to see where it goes.

"I suppose so..."
Grace gives another look at the back, then turns to Eric.
"There are quite a few organizations in Nexus. HALO, GLoG, WATCHTOWER, NO, AMEN, SAINT, LANTERN, and Aurora. HALO is supposedly a crime fighting organization, but I've never actually met a member or heard of them doing anything. GLoG is intended to redeem villains, but they have a low success rate and have some... questionable and dangerous methods. Frankly, their best contributions to society have been in the medical field, so I'm not sure why they don't just stick with that. WATCHTOWER is a more interesting group- they're set up to prevent apocalypses and other large scale attacks that threaten Nexus and Inside as a whole. I've not really seen them do much work either, but to be fair, Nexus has been relatively peaceful lately, so I can't really blame them for that. NO is... well, I'm not really sure. I think they're mercenaries."
Grace leans to one side to try and see if Hansel has noticed them yet, but sighs and continues her list.
"AMEN is... well, the name stands for Association of the Malicious, Evil, and Nefarious. They have a very long history of villainy, but in the most recent times their focus has been on assaulting the Empire and Inside. They've not had a lot of success though. SAINT is an organization of assassins, but as far as I've heard, they've never made a successful kill. LANTERN is..."
She pauses, trying to think of how best to describe LANTERN.
"Umm... well intentioned. But notorious. Their leader is Maxios, and he's caused a lot of problems. Theoretically, LANTERN fights crime. In practice, they yell at each other on a space station and are banned from Inside.
"Aurora is my organization. We're small, and I really haven't gotten many others interested in it, but I'm trying my best. We've tried to alert people to the lax standards and deplorable state of most other organizations, which hasn't earned us many friends. We've built a free, telepathic radio station which tries to be informative and helpful, though we haven't had many broadcasts so far. Probably our best act so far was building Riftline, which was just completed."

If not stopped he will buy a ticket and take a ride on it just to see where it goes.

He'll find there are no tickets to buy at all. Apparently, this is one of those trains you ride for free (which would be the whole point of Riftline, after all).

The route it takes seems a bit... odd. It jumps around between important places in a rather sporadic manner, at times in an order that shouldn't be possible.

There do seem to be some pamphlets nearby though, hanging between the windows in a little sleeve. Maybe they'll explain it.

Eric nods and thinks for a moment. "You're part of Aurora, right? There'e's the Riftline and the radio, but have you done anything else? I'd like to hear more." he seems genuinely interested.

"Well, nothing particularly big, no. But we've not been around long, and a lot of my resources have been going to preliminary investigation. There are still some things I need to take care of..."
Grace sighs, putting her hands in her pockets.

At about this moment, they're finally noticed. The baker in the back makes his way quickly out to the counter, the floor shaking a bit under his feet. He's huge, and in the extraordinarily muscular sense instead of the overweight one. He looks like he could crush skulls with his pinky.
"Grace. I did not hear you come in."
His thick black eyebrows push down over his eyes in a perpetual scowl, and his rumbling voice doesn't help at all.

His large, stony face turns to Eric.
"What do you want?"

For a moment, Eric is stunned. He's never met someone this size before. Of course, right afterward he chastises himself; Well, what were you expecting, normal? If magic is real here, why can't there be humongous humans?

... unless he's not human.

Eric abandons that train of thought and says the first things that comes into his head, "The largest cookies you have."

Well, not an intelligent reply, but an honest one.

The giant man grunts in response, and his eyes flick to Grace.
"I'll just have my usual. But I imagine you'll want something more than just dessert, right Eric?"
She gives him a smile.
"Hansel specializes in sandwiches. As long as you can describe something, he can probably make it."

"Not probably."
He states firmly, in the same sense that a bar of steel is firm.
"I can make whatever you want. I will make whatever you want."
Funny how he can make that sound like a threat.
He leans down a little to stare at Eric.
"You want a sandwich?"

Eric is completely intimidated.

"Sure. What kind of sandwiches are your best?" he asks, a bit nervously

Hansel just kind of stares at him blandly for a few moments, then turns his back on him and trudges off towards the kitchen.
"I will make you the special."
He says decisively, before shutting the door behind him with a very solid thud.

"And... that's Hansel."
Grace says, giving a shrug.
"He's a nice guy, really, just doesn't express it."
She smiles at Eric reassuringly.
"Lets find somewhere to sit."

One of the harlequins, carrying a struggling pair of children, is tripped and falls to the ground. One child escapes and rolls out of the criminal's grip, crawling over to cower under a nearby trashcan. The tripped harlequin whirls about, the other child still in grasp, and claws at the poor boy's feet in a vain attempt to pull him out from under the garbage can.

Remember the red bullet that was shot at Phil? This is the same stuff, but with much more surface area touching. Let's just say that there won't be much energy of any kind left in the harlequin that he grabbed after a while. Though this is going much too slowly. Crae speeds up, trying to get in front of the harlequins and throws his arms out, his sleeves stretching and exanding to make a wall going up about six feet off the ground a ways in front of the group.

Grace leads them over to a table near the counter, where she picks out a stool to sit on. Might seem a little odd at first, but she does have those three tails...
"Are you okay, Eric? I know this all must be a lot to take in."

There might just be some information on those previously mentioned pamphlets nearby.
Given that, you know, pamphlets usually contain information or at least overviews.

But maybe they're blank. Zefir wouldn't know- he hasn't looked at them yet.

Eric sighs as he sits down, "I think so, it's just not anything I was expecting, you know?"

"I can't say I really do, Eric. I've been dealing with this kind of thing for a very long time."
Grace says, with a shake of her head.

Eric looks at her a bit strangely for a moment, then nods and says, "Thank you. It's rare to find someone who actually speaks the honest truth. I appreciate people who do"

"Of course not," Warwick says, immediately making a mental note to make nipple lasers. "Now the main problem is that my workshop here is not as tall as it needs to be, so we'll have to build the Stroffy Stomper in two halves, program the legs to walk themselves out and the top half to knuckle walk itself out, and then assemble it. Hmm... might want to warn the city that it isn't meant for them too."

She says with a shrug.
"But, just because I can't quite relate doesn't mean I don't care. I would like to help you, Eric, even if it's only through buying you a meal and talking to you a bit."

Kirk strolls at a brisk pace through the streets. Presumably Din is walking along with him.

He seems... agitated, and walks like a man possessed.

The people on the streets around them are a strange lot. Many seem to just be normal people, but some are dressed in the robes of cultists while others aren't people at all.

Kirk is not disturbed by them at all, but Din might want to keep her eyes away from the... things walking the streets.
