As of February 21st, that's no longer the case: 3 comics per week, and JayDee hasn't missed an update. But historically speaking? Oh my, yes, Keychain is doing so much better than Captain SNES was for so many years.

Hoo boy. Yeah, CSNES has a good story, but it's been so slow. I didn't even remember the Drab Lord thing when we suddenly came back to it - it'd been so long I had forgotten that Cecil and company actually were in the comic once!

Well the alternative is either to leave it there, and hope no-one can beat Costora, and have to still deal with the Wyld Hunt, OR just take it from him and have to deal with the Wyld Hunt as well.

This way it gets the Wyld hunt of their back, and even if they did lose it they'd know who had it next, remember all 5 keys are needed, they have one, and one of the others is reasonably secure, being held by an elder Siddie.

It is highly unlikely chimera can raise their permanent Essence score. For one thing, their motivation is "Survive". It's not exactly something you can accomplish. For another, what kind of chimera would meditate on being a Lunar and the sacredness of Luna for months at a time?

I personally find the idea of existing for thousands of years and not refining your Essence absurd. After a few centuries you'd think the Essence would just start to well up on its own.

Well, any exalted who knows about the keys - the worst would be a loyal GSP - but as said before they'll only have 1 of 5

He was around immediately post primordial war (original holder of the key, after all). It's probable he was essence 9 or 10 at the time of the usurpation anyway and so wouldn't have any need to meditate post chimerism to be super crazy powerful.

I do hope they meet him. If only because I want to see a deranged chimera squee like a child given a toy and try to hug/molest/digest misho while reminiscing about old times.

Nah. I imagined more... You ever watch the movie Paprika? It's been a while and it was a really trippy movie, so I could be misremembering. But near the end, when she has to deal with Osanai, it's not clear during the confrontation whether he's trying to kill her, torture her, seduce her, or rape her. But he's obviously very fond (in a horrible way) of her while doing terrible terrible things because... well, he's completely insane. And there's weird shapeshifting and all kinds of bizarre...

Yeah...

I'd like to see that, without all of the horribleness brought on by partial success on the part of the depraved maniac. Because rape is not funny. Having every two-bit lunatic in the story want to do weird bondage related things to misho to his steadily increasing discomfort, on the other hand, is hilarious.

Yep, good old Yellow Sid. He's all over the place if you look for him. Including Strip 1.

I think the third is Samuel Vimes - the helmet and armor, together with the cigar, really seem to point that way.
