Nine pages, you snooze, you miss out on nine pages of people making meta conversations and in jokes.
Almost the opposite of me then, I basically had lots of spring, summer's barely even going to start until July, and winter had one thing of snow, and then it just stayed mildly chilly and green for the rest of the time when it was supposed to be winter.Last edited by MoonCat; 2011-06-03 at 11:59 AM.

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
By an astounding coincidence, I just sent out the invitations to my (Somewhat belated) birthday party on facebook.
Slightly frustrating. Every year I have the same sort of "Do I want to invite so-and-so? But on the other hand, if I don't, will he/she be all miffed at not being invited?" and so on, until I eventually just go "Ahh, whatever, I'll invite these people!"
Heard it before. Colin Baker may be the least popular of the Doctors, but someone who did that can't be too bad.
Actually, I'm pretty sure I've linked that before. In the You thread, fairly recently, when I posted Pinafore photos, and someone leapt to the only G&S they knew. And linked a different parody (Would you really call it a parody? Version with different words. Some other sci-fi thing with which I was not familiar).
Edit: Yep, I did.Last edited by Thufir; 2011-06-03 at 12:17 PM.

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
This year I was going to have a cool murder themed party that would have been fun, but at a sudden attack of feeling like **** emotionally I canceled all the plans. I just had a family party instead, where the term party equaled one sausage, gifts, and a dinner out in the evening.

Really, I think that might be the best type of party. Maybe having a friend or two along as well.
Also, sausage? Exactly one? Do tell

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
Yeah, it was pleasant. And certainly. Sausage is a special treat in my family, so we buy a sausage once a month. Then we don't get another one until the month is over. For my birthday I requested that we have two sausages that month, one to have on my birthday, plus the other one.
Indeed. Although it was in the morning.Spoiler: This signature is a historical relic from a long-ago time of regular forum activity.Aww man! Even all the witty self referencing sigs are gone now!

Nine pages within fifteen hours. I am pleased with your progress, my minions.
Birthdays are good. So are sausages. I haven't had a proper birthday celebration for a long time... *sigh* I was so antisocial for my first couple years of high school. That, and my family always goes camping around the time of my birthday, thanks to it being just one day before the 4th of July.
When are you heading off to your improvathon, Luna? Sounds awesome, I would love to come.

Can't remember, I was only 8 or 9 at the time. Didn't talk to him much. Just got a picture and autograph and that was that.
He's apparently a very nice guy in person. Just that the scripts and the BBC at the time weren't right for him and the whole of Doctor Who itself.Last edited by Castaras; 2011-06-03 at 12:37 PM.

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
We did one of those dinner things where you play a role and try to figure out who the murderer was. It was really interesting and stuff even though the ending was a let down (the ending was basically "SURPRISE! It was the guy with no motive, no opportunity, and an air-tight alibi!") we had great fun because for whatever reason the group there (just randomly assembled people based on who was available) had great chemistry. Just a pity we didn't do that again.
Like, Is this some special sausage?

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
I have more than normal because I'm exceedingly silly.
I do two subjects with 2 exams, 2 with 1 exam, had 2 resits, and an extra maths exam for uni applicants (even though I don't need it for my uni) and the exams officer at school entered me for 2 years worth of General Studies exams because she says that I'd have no problem whatsoever doing it. (I haven't for the 2 I've done already. General Studies is a bollocks subject.)"I'm just going on motive and opportunity here and the fact that if the earth got swallowed by a black hole, I'd look suspiciously in your direction first."

Well you'll be going to UCLA at the very least. Congrats on such a fine university sir! That was, once upon a time, my first choice for med school (which later got supplanted by John Hopkins just so I don't stay in the same state all my life).

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
About 20x60 ft., but I'm in the second row. Right in the middle. The teacher was staring at me.
I'm in period 4 now, and we do essentially nothing in this class. In fact, my teacher just put on Across the Universe. Yes, the one with Beatles' Songs.
Both Macbeth and a more general focus. Yes, it's physically painful to watch.
My presentation went off pretty well, at least, even if I know that I'm being given credit for only about a quarter of my work. I spent 5 hours last night working Nonstop (which is quite a feat, considering my ADD and my internet connection.) putting together woefully underresearched powerpoint slides while fixing them to have an actual historical basis.
I spent more time fixing other people's work for that project than I would have doing the entire thing myself from scratch. The only reason I didn't break off was because one of my best friends was in the group, and she was the only one who gave usable, useful information. And breaking off from her would have left her with an F on a major project in an AP class.
A lot. I took an AP test for European History just a month ago, and I have 3 more exams coming up next week. IN THE LAST 3 DAMN DAYS OF SCHOOL.
