Once an eccentric yet dependable delivery mare, one day Pinkie showed her the space between realities. Unfortunately, Derpy/Ditzy became lost in there, only to be rescued by the Doctor. Now she has visions of alternate timelines and futures and keeps up appearances in between crazy time adventures.

Also, both Derpy and Dr. Whooves are half-unicorn(recessive), explaining their foal.

it would depend. Unicorns would be much more inclined to have unicorn children, and maybe it's less "recessive" and more rock/paper/scissors, where earth ponies can't have many pegasi foals, but may be rampant with unicorns, etc. Though I'm not sure how the triangle should go.

The person I need to talk to about the internship is out of the office until Tuesday, so it looks like I'm going to have to wait until then. That's alright, I've waited this long to get this opportunity, I certainly can wait a few more days before learning about it.

On the down side, I've basically ended up sick as a dog today. Upset stomach, congestion, and cotton in the head. I am feeling dysfunctional. I am basically lying here doing nothing.
