Voli doesn't transform, he's just a bear...
Although that's saying something.I've started streaming again.
78% of DM's started their first campaign in a tavern. If you're one of the 22% that didn't, copy and paste this into your signature.
I started my first campaign outside of an abandoned mine, just as soon as a meteor storm from the moon hits.

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
Time for me to pop in and say hi! Its been awhile since I've played...
So, what all has happened since, say, the Diana patch? It looks like Riot decided they'd just up the pretty factor by a couple of margins since I've last played...
Also, Reina? That joke was hilarious.

All of the "human" champions from Freljord are lightly clothed.
I'm convinced that Freljordians are actually Norse.

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
I am slowly realizing that aside from maybe Jax, as far as enemy mages and especially carries go, Rammus is my favourite assassin.
Not sure how I feel about that.
Particularly against carries, though, late game Rammus (doubly so with red) is more or less "Enemy champion, welcome to die. Go directly to die. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200 gold."Last edited by Cogwheel; 2012-10-20 at 10:44 PM.

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
Spoiler
Well, that happened.
We were kinda demoralized when one of our friends never connected, so after ten minutes in being just kinda even, I decided to request that we all just gank bot lane. Then mid lane. Then bot again. Then top. Then dragon. Then baron
Thankfully we had a good tactician who has been playing from the beginning (Eve), so he knew exactly how to play the December 2010 meta, as he put it.
The last fight had both teams poke around baron for about three minutes with no vision (we would kill each others' wards as they were placed), before they decided to engage on us and attempt to focus down eve. They also decided to ignore me for the entire fight. Poison and sunfire OP.
They surrendered right after we aced them with only blitzcrank dead.

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
So a friend of mine (not especially skilled herself) wanted me to help teach a friend who's just starting out. Seeing as I already teach her to some degree.
I figure they're level 5 and already have a PVP win, so hey, good sign!
Spoiler
I am forced to assume that the match at the bottom was someone providing a demonstration.
Then the latest of the Fortune matches got them the most gold, so I can get a good idea of the sort of build they go for.
What on earth did I get myself into?

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
So, in champ select there was some confusion about top lane/support and who was where, but we worked it out. Then, in the loading screen, it dawns on me: We have almost no magic damage. I'll need to go Easy Mode Fizz.
Spoiler
I told their Fizz to try Bruiser Fizz because they play almost the same, except that with Easy Mode Fizz the target you focus just sort of dies partway through and you can just leave instead of tanking your way through a fight.
Easy Mode Fizz so Easy Mode.
EDIT: Tanking two enemies to kill the enemy Nexus as Yi, using my rebound taunt key all the while...Your skills are inferior, indeed.Last edited by PersonMan; 2012-10-21 at 08:02 AM.

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
I second this; don't worry, we don't BITE.
Oh wait. Surprise! We do bite!
Also, is it just me, or is her spider-form laugh evilishly adorable? The dancing baby spiders doing the can-can don't help.
So, Elise has the honour of buying the very first champion that I'll insta-buy on release day; The potential to make enemies go OHGODSTHESPIDERS is just too much fuuuuun~

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
AD reds/quints, 21/0/9, boots-pots start, consider 1-2 early Doran's if lane is tough, otherwise Phage+Vamp --> Sheen --> Trinity --> BFS core. Decide whether you want to finish BT for quick LW/GA or go all the way to IE. Max R>W>Q>E until postseason patch, then we'll see.

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
1.I'm running 21/9/0 on him, just cause of my standard habit with ADCs. I had wondered last game if he was able to go 21/0/9 for the MP5. Good to know. What else do you pick up over there?
2.Overall, that's the skill progression I've been using too, but how're you starting him? I've been going QEW so far.Avatar by Assassin89

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
Fun night. Streak of ranked wins (including a hard carry) into two theme games (and a bunch of other games, all with doubled IP):
Team Void, now with Kha'Zix!
Spoiler
It's worth noting that the enemy team was all women; tentacle monsters vs. schoolgirls is a lopsided match-up, or so I've been told. Oh, and they laned Karma/Lux bot (with Lux as low-CS), Vayne top.
Team Zoo, an idea we got after realizing our enemy team in a game was all animals:
Spoiler
Rengar and Volibear formed our killlane bot and actually got FB. Of course, game went late anyways but once I was able to pick off Draven with a Wall to force a Flash and then do it again, we won.Last edited by Eldariel; 2012-10-21 at 09:26 PM.

Re: League of Legends XXXIX: Harrowing in the Playground
Personally I would have done Support Cho, Top Lane Kass, Middle Malz, Jungle Kha.
Did you have Kass support? I had one of those in a solo queue game. It was pretty hilarious because we got first blood on the enemy blue (Kass got it, I was AD in the same lane with him) and we completely wrecked the enemy with it. It was pretty hilarious, but in hindsight the player may have been a smurf... so that might have helped.
