Stuff like how to get wild honey from a hive without being stung to death, how to identify and avoid carnivorous grass, which trees provide edible fruit and how to build a fishing rod. I don't know the Wolfen as well as you do, and they aren't native to my homeworld, so they could already teach you that stuff. But remember: No matter how much you learn, there is always something you don't know." Natalie's very emphatic about the last bit.

Justin is temporarily, and unintentionally, ignored.

And to the kitchen they go, when suddenly: Brinika!
And Jamie grins, waving cheerfully.
"She's a good friend of mine. Hi, Brinika! Meet Sayuri! She's a magical girl like me!" she calls.

"Ooooh. Hi! It's great to meet you!" Brinika says cheerfully. As is probably to be expected, she has a very squeaky and high-pitched voice. "Do you transform too?" the tiny goblin then asks.

"...oh. I guess that makes sense..." Sayuri seems a bit pensive at these words, but quickly shakes it off. She waves hesitantly at Brinika with a faint smile.

"Transform...? Well, um, not exactly..." The other magical girl glances away uncomfortably.

[The Bushranger]

[Outside Main Building]

"It's complicated," Jamie says quickly. "But she lives in a totally awesome tower, and I thought I'd show her around here. She's really nice!"

[Morty]

[Outside Main Building]

Brinika tilts her head.
"Oh. Can I go with you as you show her around?"

"Sure, if I can remember how..." Last time he had an idol that Helios had created and that sort of helped. Since it could talk and all, being an imprisoned soul.

"There may have been fire involved and the sun setting? Or maybe just calling him. Hey Helios! HELIOS!!"

"This works more often than not in the Nexus, I promise. HELIOSSSSS!!!"

Helios is Shadowcaller's character by the way.

Yuki looks surprised when Reinholdt starts yelling. Then looks around in case someone responds. She isn't sure if someone will appear or a disembodied voice. "So this really works?" She wonders if she should call out.

Once Rein is finished only silence follows. Looks like the cat might have made some critical mistake in the summoning process or the god just isn't listening. But then... what was that?

I'm listening, but you need to make a circle for me to manifest in. Just repeat what you just did but with a circle. Any kind of circle will do. Reinholdt can hear a cold voice echo inside his head.

[Reinholdt]

"Usually."

Reinholdt tilts his head a bit.

"Ok, he said in order to manifest, you'll have to lie on the ground in a circle." He tells Yuki.

You know, you'd probably have more friends if you stopped screwing with people Rein.

"She'll be fine," Quinn tells Prism with a smile, as she completes the removal of the shrapnel, and then sets about doing Medical Scanny Stuff to check for any remaining internal injuries.

Infirmary

"That's good." The little far-girl replies before slowly shuffling up to Ori's bedside and trying to lightly touch her hand. She'd never seen someone hurt so bad before, but she thinks that if she had such a nasty boo-boo that someone would be around to hold her hand and comfort her when she woke up.

((It's okay if you don't know what to post Mee. You can just say how effective the medical stuff Quinn is doing is and then we can probably timeskip to when Ori wakes, if you're planning on having her wake up.))

Nope, after the shrapnel is out, Ori's pretty much back to being whole and sound.
Still fairly traumatized, but whatever.

"You shouda seen the old place. This is just a buncha cabins - that place was magic, and I mean that literally! Then the catpeople had to come and invde and wreck it." Jamie kicks a rock in annoyance.

"I've never seen the old place," Brinika says. "But this one is really, really cool. I love being here!"

Prism doesn't have a smile, and isn't next to Ori's bedside, but she is within sight of it on a little chair up against the wall. She seems to have dozed off herself while waiting for Ori to wake up, as she's slumped over with her eyes closed and the tip of her thumb between her teeth.

That is not very kind of you. It would send her to Helios's realm, and he does not like visitors, says another voice in Reinholdt's head, somewhat disapprovingly. Definitely not the same voice as before.

Yuki looks confused and then nods. It seems like a strange request but this whole place is kind of strange. Plus Yuki is the trusting sort and so far it has payed off for her. It might take her a bit but she is very flexible, unless Reinholdt stops her she will do her best. She won't be able to make a perfect circle, but hey it's the thought that counts right?

"No, we came here on our own!" Brinika says. "First Aunt Reelshka and some of her friends moved here, and then lots of goblins started moving here too. Now there's a whole goblin colony underground."

"That's pretty cool," she smiles down at the little girl. "Why place the colony underground, though? Defenses, I would presume, right?"

Brinika's big ears twitch. She finds the question confusing. It's like... being asked why you walk on legs and not hands.
"That's how we always do it. We live underground. Always have."

"If a fruit appeared which Waterstrider and Pathfinder were unfamiliar with because it's not from their homeworld, would they know how to determine if it's poisonous or not? Especially considering that I think Wolfen are primarily carnivorous, and humans and halflings are omnivorous so a diet of just meat would not be so good for us." Natalie agrees that some knowledge is boring and seems pointless, but knows that somebody will find a use for all knowledge. One has to study history to learn tactics, and mathematics to learn engineering.

It's a very simple reason really. You're insane Reinholdt. Crazy people hear voices in their head. And you just appeared from nowhere, called on some person like a dark cultist would, listened to the voices in your head and had a fallen angel from the plane of corporate logos make a circle on the ground. You're just bat**** crazy.

"Alright, stop stop stop. They only would accept your efforts if you made a parallelogram. Get up before you hurt yourself." Reinholdt says, going to help Yuki up before she can finish hopefully. "Just find a good stick instead."
