I showed my daughter some media about Juvie detention. Give her an idea what happens to bad kids when they go too far later in life. It certainly made her think about behaviors. Hoping continued talks and attention to the issue will get her to return to the good side and not bully at school.

I've discovered a surprising pony dislike.

Ponified Dazzlings.

Especially interacting with other ponies. I can only think that it's a mental objection to clearly non-pony Equestrian creatures being depicted as ponies. Once or twice was ok, but now... Now it's starting to really bug me at a level far beyond how it deserves.

Pretty much the norm with toy-marketed shows. You should see how off the Transformers Rescuebot toys are to their show counterparts. Very off model. The only decent ones were only guest stars-- Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. I remember this being the way things were as far back as the 80s. So... nah, I'm not surprised.

It's also roughly the same size and shape of Earth and has the same seasons for the same reasons.

It's a planet because if we f*** up Earth to the point it can't be fixed, Mars is gonna be the new Earth.

We just gotta raise the temp a few degrees and send over some plant seeds to get the terraformation ball rolling.

Mar's atmosphere, if I remember my space science classes right, is mostly CO₂. Since photosynthesis takes in CO₂ and produces O₂...

Again, I'm not sure how accurate this is, I'm a Biology Major, not an astrophysicist, and I'm drastically over simplifying this.

You're drastically over simplifying it.

For a kick off:

It's also roughly the same size and shape of Earth and has the same seasons for the same reasons.

It isn't.

It's about half the diameter and 15% of the size of Earth and only 11% of the mass: surface gravity is only 0.37g.

The atmosphere is 100 times thinner (which precludes liquid water), it gets half the sunlight and seasons are twice as long because of the greater year length (though the axial tilt is similar so it DOES have similar seasons). Neither the atmosphere nor soil are any good at keeping heat, so the temperature varies wildly between the extremes - the high eccentricy of the orbit also does not help tht either. It also has extremely intense dust-storms. And no magnetosphere, so the solar wind is slowly blowing away the atmosphere (and don't get me started on trying to work out solar wind and magnetospheres I've been trying to wrk that one out for months for Andorlaine to no avail).

Tests have shown a couple of years ago that it is possible to just about get some alpine lichens to grow under Martian conditions, but you aren't going to get those changing the whole atmosphere; certainly not in a timescale under geological. You just ain't gonna get new Earth from Mars... Like... ever. (I mean, it's just not big enough.) You might get a habitiable Mars, maybe, but "habitable" is a lng way from "comfortable for humans." Without astonishingly high levels of tech to artificially modify the gravity and create a magnetosphere and/or riase the atmosphere temperature, it's never going to be very close to "like Earth" or at least the bits that humans generally live in without specialised equipment.
