Re: Blowing up Erfworld
Thank you very much.
Man... must take a long time to draw these, or at least the shading and coloring.
I mean, how do you do that? Like with the wall?... The cracks look so... real.
Out of all the comics I read, this is undoubtedly the best drawn.(And it's well written too.)

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
No secret. Most of the textures in the backgrounds are hand painted. For the bricks, I used a high resolution photo, stitched it together to make it seemless, and then color matched it to the wall that I had thrown on a little color. Since Parson is in the real world, I wanted it to look as real as possible without going totally photo-realistic. I guess you could call it cheating, but I still had to do the work.Jamie Noguchi, artist and co-creator of Erfworld and evil monkey responsible for Angry Zen Master.

Yeah... all I know is, I can't do it. That makes it magic.

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
I have updated the original post in this thread to include all of the requested blowups, including the "When life gives you crap" frame, with dialogue. Sorry that took so long!

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
These are gorgeous. Frankly, I would love to just get all of each comic in blown-up format, perhaps as a link under the comic itself.
Failing that, it would be great to see some of today's panels (ep.17), especially the 1st and 4th panels..."River" cancels eat: Food is problematic.

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
Hey! now I can see the blowup of Parson's room I've spotted a poster next to the Hamstard one which is something else that Jami did. (seem to recall it was for a competition submission or something).
What is that a picture of? (yes I know its a chinese dragon with a girl sitting on it, but does it refer to something?)

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
Wanda is well-drawn and all, but I prefer the scenic shots (and Stanley's adorable pose) to closeups of rendered cleavage. I do like the glowy eyes in the 3rd though.

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
I would go (EW17) with panel 4, best pose ever, and 7. Of course 1, 3 and 5 would be great too, but I'm still taken by the awesomeness of panel 7. Maybe is the doubt that comes from her words and I see in her face, but I love that one.

I say three and seven. Five is redundant and i like the close up of the glowing eyes.

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
Panels 1-3 of pg 18 would make a great triptych of evil. And, speaking of fanservice, check out the classic from below in panel 9.

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
That blow up of panel three did it for me. I'm not talking about Wanda, as some of you must now be thinking. It's the background. Stanley's glowingness and the the glowing door and wall edges. That is, for some strange reason in my mind, Erfworld at it's finest.

Re: Blowing up Erfworld
While reading the thread on the demise of Mr. Fluffy-kins, our beloved yellow gwiffon, I could not help notice that we have no blown up version of such awesome creature. How I wish I could put such glory as seen in the top panel of #9 on my desktop, or such might as seen in panel 5 in #10 or in the second panel of #12.
Rest in peace beautiful peep, we'll always remember you.Avatar: ruthless Parson (Erfworld).
