Just think of the storyline implications: love overcoming adversity, misunderstandings, and racial issues... isn't it just too perfect?

In addition to that, I've already thought of the perfect opening:

Yakyak: Hello, my name is Yakyak. You killed my father (and brother). Prepare to die!

Belkar: *Wolf whistles* Hey there hot stuff!

Yakyak: Okay... that wasn't the reaction I was expecting.

(Cue porn music as some hot kobold loving gets started)
