I'm a judgmental person sometimes. But cracking jokes and being silly in what is nominally a crisis is one of my peeves, and so far its their entire character.

I can definitely relate to Keltest's perspective. These two came pretty much out of nowhere (and their entrance really didn't feel natural at all), and considering how interesting I've found the last few characters who were inserted into the story quite out of nowhere, I'm not very enthusiastic about these ones.

Ok, the cracking jokes thing doesn't really bother me that much on its own, I can understand that some people do it to help them get through tough scenarios, and other people (like superheroes) just aren't as threatened as they might seem. But being frivolous does bother me, and yes, I generally avoid media where the main character consistently goofs off to solve their problems and gets away with it.

I think my main objection is that these characters are annoying Cloudcukoolander (i will spare you the TvTrope link), but they dont have any other characteristics or personality that would make them likeable in the least.

Agreed. they exist to be nonsensical, which I find less than endearing.

Those look like normal pharmacy hours to me. If you need a prescription filled at 3 AM you've done something pretty wrong.

On the other hand, if your cub is running 40C and your tiny baby-sized* acetaminophen bottle turns out to not have enough for one full dose and it's 3 AM, you are damn glad that there are 24h pharmacies around.

Speaking from experience, anyway.

Edit: what I noticed is that the red-haired lady walking in the opposite direction seems to have grown her hair by about 10 cm between the second and third panels.

Believe me, I grew up in rural Maryland where they rolled up the sidewalks at 5:00pm and blue laws were still a thing, so nothing was open on Sunday. I know hours vary depending on where you are. I was just commenting on my full transition to city dweller. I can also speak from experience about being glad to have a 24 hour pharmacy nearby when my child woke up vomiting with a fever.
