Re: Magic the Gathering Thread XXIV: *Slaps Roof* This Thread Can Hold So Many Chand
I'd definitely try to find room for a genesis wave in that list.
Concordant crossroads is not a cheap card, at about 20$, but can be really good in this kind of deck.

Re: Magic the Gathering Thread XXIV: *Slaps Roof* This Thread Can Hold So Many Chand
My opponent had a glowing kitty-cat.
It hissed at me when I clicked on it.
I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

Re: Magic the Gathering Thread XXIV: *Slaps Roof* This Thread Can Hold So Many Chand
They only banned around 50 people, and it was only for 5 days, and those people were clicking the cat 150+ times per minute through pretty much entire matches, for thousands of clicks per match.
Clicking the cat once, or even several times, just plays a flashy animation and changes its color. It's only a problem if you spam-click it like crazy.
Oh, and that's for when it's your own cat. Clicking the opponent's cat isn't an issue at all, I think.Last edited by Douglas; 2019-07-20 at 05:25 PM.

Re: Magic the Gathering Thread XXIV: *Slaps Roof* This Thread Can Hold So Many Chand
In case you're curious, the problem is the flashy animation I mentioned. The opponent sees it too, and playing that animation so ridiculously many times can overstress Arena's ability to render it. Click it rapidly enough and continuously enough, and the opponent's client becomes unable to process attempts to play cards. That's the real reason for the bans, because doing this can force the opponent to run out the timer on their entire turn without doing anything, giving you an unfair advantage.

Re: Magic the Gathering Thread XXIV: *Slaps Roof* This Thread Can Hold So Many Chand
I recently noticed that a large portion of my wins, ignoring those where I don't know why my opponent conceded, seem to involve using their stuff against them... even though my deck didn't actually have Mass Manipulation.
It has it now, though!

So, the new set is Throne of Eldraine and it's going to be Camelot meets Grimm Fairy Tales. The art is breathtaking.
Also, Commander 2019 spoilers start the beginning of August.

I just realized/discovered that Thief of Sanity makes for a really good solution to the God Eternals' shared ability.

I kind of wish Arena had Maze's End, since it's pretty much the only card ever printed that lets you win without successfully casting anything.

Resources shmsources, Gristleshoal will kill you when your board state is 1 island. Thats the awesome thing about magic, every 'broken' part of it has an equally broken counter.

The best part of playing grishoalbrand is making people counterspell all of your Arcane spells, because Splice tribal is silly.
