All right, lets see if I can turn this around

    wits+survival+hunting spec+willpower (8d10)[9][6][5][10][6][10][4][9](59)
    ten again (8d10)[1][1][1][8][3][4][3][1](22)

    That'l do it

If its still in the air, voting for pollution spirits, as that's probably more in line with our current goals.

Bear pulls the pack through on the hunt. Deducting the WP from his character box. IC post to resolve this in a second. Note, the pack decided on hunting a choir of lesser pollution spirits.

So Joanna is leaving the group in an attempt to flank the spirits. She rolled 0 successes. Do you want to spend WP? Also, check both your urhan form benefits and your gifts and let me know if you want to use any of those to help. Otherwise, let me know if you want to convert that into a dramatic failure.

I'm going to try not to spend Essence when that's what we came out here for, although there's always Shadow Pelt for emergencies. Going to spend that Wp and hope I get something back for acting alone.

So let's say it will take about an hour to buy the boat. I have had trouble finding rules on cost for a boat, but as most motor boats large enough to carry the pack seem to start around $5,000 I would suggest Resource *** is necessary to pick up a boat without a significant cost to the individual. I see no shared Resources merit for the pack. So, who has Resource *** and wants to put down?

@Haval: With no dots, Joanna would take a -3 unskilled penalty, which would drop that to a chance dice. Fortunately, you didn't roll a one.

That said, do you want to activate Shadow Pelt and see if Joanna can get closer?

@TC: Just remind me, what gives Blaze the 9 again on that roll? I'm going to give you 4 dots of success here, until you clarify, and can easily turn it into an exceptional success.

Blaze knows that improving the Essence of the bay will have little benefit on fighting the Idigam directly, though it may help reverse some of the damage that the Idigam has caused. He understands that something about its rule-breaking presence in the Hisil is directly damaging the Hisil and thus indirectly stymieing the flow and gathering of Essence. While these are things Blaze knew already, being here in the presence of Dagon's city, and looking at the obsidian structures that shouldn't be, he can draw a few more new conclusions. Assuming the spawn and the city itself were the products of the Idigam, it is likely that they should carry the same bane and ban, and perhaps studying either the tissues of one of the spawn, or some of the obsidian stone, might help Blaze figure out what the spirit is weak to. Lastly, if the Idigam were as powerful as expected, they should be more aware of it; perhaps able to see it, or feel its presence even stronger than the terrible underlying sensation of dread. Either, the Idigam wasn't here, or it was somehow in some form of slumber or hybernation.

Blaze uses Inspired and gains a beat. He spends a WP to achieve an exceptional success and spends an Essence to activate Shadow Gaze.

This brings him to 3/4 WP, and 3/10 Essence. His character box has been updated with all the above.

With the exceptional success, Blaze can know the Spawn's Ban and Bane.
Ban: The spawn cannot come out of the water on a full moon.
Bane: Items of knowledge such as books or technology can be weaponized against the Spawn.

Alright, wrapping up the scene and counting up beats and WP. As always, feel free to run through things and let me know if I am missing anything. Please let me know how you want to spend XP, and if you want to update any of your Aspirations.

Bear: 1 beat for completing the scene. I'll give Bear a beat for encouraging the pack to go on a hunt towards his Aspiration... HOWEVER, I am counting this Aspiration complete and it must be replaced. Everyone gets a beat for the pack beat of learning more about the Idigam for their infiltration of the Idigam's territory. This brings Bear a total of 3 beats. This brings him to 0 beats and 3xp.

Blaze: 1 beat for completing the scene. Blaze gets a beat for completing the shaping of the Death Locus... this Aspiration is complete and must be updated. Blaze gets a beat towards making strong Spirit allies by completing the Sea King's locus as well. Everyone gets a beat for the pack beat of learning more about the Idigam for their infiltration of the Idigam's territory. I'll also give Blaze a beat for figuring out the Ban and Bane of the spawn. This brings Blaze 5 beats and brings him to 4 beats and 6xp.

Joanna: 1 beat for completing the scene. Joanna gets a beat for engaging Blaze about the Iron Master tribe, however she will need to do something more substantial for another such beat. Everyone gets a beat for the pack beat of learning more about the Idigam for their infiltration of the Idigam's territory. I'll give Joanna an extra beat for getting closer to the city and bringing back intel. This brings Joanna 4 beats, bringing her to 0 beats and 4xp.

Jeremy: 1 beat for completing the scene. Jeremy gets a beat for assisting Bear by obtaining a boat... I am also going to count this Aspiration as complete and will ask you to replace it. I'll give Jeremy a beat for learning more about spirits given his interactions with The Great Sea King. Everyone gets a beat for the pack beat of learning more about the Idigam for their infiltration of the Idigam's territory. This brings Jeremy 4 beats and brings him to 1 beat and 5xp.

@All:: Don't forget about the following:
-Appeasing Databolt, you have 6/8 successes so far
-The pack has stolen two barrels of elemental mercury to deal with the Pure.
-I strongly suggest someone in the pack starts picking up some gifts or rites
-Carrion the Death spirit has been angered by Blaze and Joanna and may cause more trouble.
    -Joanna's gotta join a tribe.
-Pack Ban: Each Uratha must perform one hedonistic act per month, giving into their vices and throwing caution to the wind. This can include a particularly debased stage act, that a conservative public member may consider "inappropriate or pornographic". Don't forget that if you don't complete this ban, things start going badly for your character.

As always, let me know if you want to spend any XP, and please consider updating your aspirations. Once I've had a few replies, we can the next scene. I will give each character one recovered WP. We will resume with Act 2 Scene v
