Bavin clapped his hands together. This was going to be wonderful, pooling resources and having a partner. He had hoped things would go this will his first day out.

"Meeklis? What an interesting name. This is most fortunate. I have always wanted to have a partner. I am sure we will work wonderfully together."

"My name is Bavin Tharmund," He said, writing the name down on the ledger, and his guarantee of staying out in Homestead for 5 years, "And I plan to be there for a while."

5 years would be enough time to raise all the money he needed to go to the university.

"Thank you Comptroller. We will need smithing supplies mostly. I think?"

Lumber and all of that to make a shop, but that's general type supplies.

He had already drawn up some plans for a makeshift smithing shop, the dimensions that the room would have to be. Of course, it might need to be bigger now that there was a partner.

"Let us go see Silas. We will need a loan and our supplies."

A cart. They would have to get one, just to carry all the supplies out there. Plus, it would be a long journey over to Homestead. Bavin wandered through many worlds, but they were all in books... this one would be quite different.

Bavin walked over to Silas, "We're in need of supplies. Smithing tools, if you have them. And a loan... how much do you offer?"
