Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
I know the translated version by heart. And I can sing the real version. (probably pronounced all wrong)
Dance to the beat~
Clap your hands together
Come feel the heat
Forever, and forever
Listen and learn
It is time for dancing
Now! We are here with

Hum. Now I need to look it up on Youtube.
Edit: Which for some reason has mostly the English version. *rummages around until locating a Swedish version*

Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
If it's anything like how we pronounce 'R' in Welsh (uvular trill), then it's nowhere near the throat.
If you want something throaty try 'Ch' (voiceless velar fricarive).

Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
Is it anything like a German r? Because I can't pronounce those to save my life. I either make them way too hard or I give up and skip them altogether. *facepalm*

Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
That skill gets around, the trick is learning to make the rest of the cat noises to display a range of emotion and being able to swindle chocolate off your partner through liberal use of them.

Nuh-uh, not a ping-pong ball. A super ball. Bounce it off the ceiling once or twice and your cat will love you forever. Mine even used to retrieve the ones that got stuck behind the stove, just so I could throw it for her again. (She also stands on top of her scratching post and chases her tail. Most eccentric cat ever. )

Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
Is it reasonable for a person to insist upon gender neutral pronouns to be used to describe them?
By extension any gendered words are entirely unacceptable and worthy of scorn.Mannerism RPG An RPG in which your descriptions resolve your actions and sculpts your growth.

Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
I'd prefer gender neutral pronouns (such as the singular they or Ze and Hir) but I understand those might be awkward for people. And to be honest I don't care much about gender pronouns as much as other gendered words/phrases. But, I'd says its reasonable if it does matter to you.
One of the things I really don't like is when someone for example asks me for something like "A guys opinion" I usually respond with "I can't do that, but I'll be glad to give you my opinion," or something like "I can just give you my opinion, I hope that will due." That or someone assuming I'm part of "us guys" in contrast to "those gals" whatever that means. I just don't like being thrown into groups I don't feel strong identification to and especially don't like being asked to speak on their behalf."In those halcyon days I believed that the source of enigma was stupidity. Then the other evening in the periscope I decided that the most terrible enigmas are hose that mask themselves as madness. But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth." -Casaubon, Foucault's Pendulum

Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
I pick a pronoun and sticks with it. And if someone insists on a gender-neutral pronoun, there's always it!

Re: LGBTitp - Part Six
I don't care as much for pronouns as for the way I'm treated... you can call me girl, boy, genderqueer, astronaut, flowerpot, mushroom, whatever, as long as you don't freak out at me behaving like a male -or me not behaving like a woman...
