Quietly, Hara directs his skeletons to place the bodies back down on the ground, then orders two of them to either side of the tunnel, ten feet away from him. The zombie he sends to investigate the noises.

The zombie continues to plod down the tunnel, not encountering anything.

Hara calls his zombie back, then sets to work animating two of the corpses into zombies, leaving the body of the last one unanimated. If he can keep the body long enough, then he may be able to get a truly wonderful revenge upon it.

Pretty sure it's 50, since I could animate more than one zombie for free per casting of Animate Dead. I'm casting that twice by the way, creating two more zombies. Are they human zombies, or do they have another base?

It's 25gp per HD and can animate a number of HD up to twice your caster level with one casting, isn't it?

They are Skulks from Races of Destiny. If you don't have that, I can provide zombie stats. They have two racial HD.

I'm trying to find someplace in the sewer that I can defend. The dead thing told me there was one, "A short distance east of here, beneath the Mages' Quarter."

As you begin to approach the Mages' Quarter, the sewers become increasingly hard to navigate, as the shock waves from explosion have caused significant structural damage to the tunnel system.

[Jallorn]

Perhaps this place will draw too much attention to me. They will be endeavoring to repair the damage. Hmmm, well, for now, it's a good safe place. Hara will continue to navigate the sewers as best he can, if it becomes impassable, he will abandon the attempt.

You feel like the defensible place of which the dead creature was speaking may have been within the initial blast radius. There is likely nothing left of it at this point.
