Re: One Piece -- Discussion
Oh, I wouldn't be sure of Oda. That man has such a dirty mind, I wouldn't put it past him to slip crap past the radar like this. But yes, the unlucky implications are mostly just in our dirty minds.

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
If we are talking about top moments in the manga, then my personal favorite is the end of the thriller park arc, where Zorro offer his life to Kuma in return for Luffy's, and takes all of Luffy's pain into his own body.
Of course, the most heartwrenching (and shocking), is the death of Ace, that was something i had not seen comming in a million years.thnx to Starwoof for the fine avatar

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
So if you could choose one power-up that is totally unexpected (but still fits with their character) for each of the straw hats what would it be?

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
What im really wondering about is if any of the crewmembers will get their hands on a DF during the timeskip, Usop could really use it if he is going to play with the big boys.

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
Oh dear Oda-sama, please not! Okay, maybe, MAYBE Usop or at worst Nami but none of the others. I love Zoro and Sanji for kicking ass without Devil Fruits it would ruin them for me And Franky doesn't need it like, at all. (Though, Zoro with proper DF powers would own the world :P)
On the other hand, I wouldn't mind them figuring out Haki. Guess you need it to get around in the new world. We'll see, we'll see...

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
I do think Zorro and Sanji are allready pretty close to figuring out Haki on their own, as seen by their current ultimative attacks, if thats not at least partly drawing on Haki then i dont know what it is.

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
Usopp will doubtlessly not get a DF. Oda wants him to stay as close to human levels (especially strength-wise, but definitely not skills-wise, as expected of the King of Snipers) as possible. Zoro and Sanji probably won't even need it (and while I'd think it'd augment Sanji's abilities perhaps, for Zoro it seems counter-intuitive to his style).

Has it been 4 weeks yet? I want to know if we're getting a new chapter this week.

Spoiled for spoilers. (If that's not a bit redundant.)
SpoilerRaleigh swims across an entire Blue and the Calm belt, only stopping to have Neptunian for lunch. He doesn't have a devil fruit.
If Luffy is going to have any chance at becoming the Pirate King, then he and his crew are going to need to be at the same level of power as Gol D. Roger and his crew, and from the sound of things most of Roger's crew went sans Devil Fruits. Based on Zoro's training, I'm positive he isn't getting one. Same for Sanji. Usopp might, but only because the way he's been shown to be eating means he might notice if he did eat one...Basilisk 6Pilot of the Thing

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
I'm still not ready to believe this is the final line up, Luffy hasn't even crossed the halfway point yet.

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
You guys are ignoring the introduction of the other Rookies. I am almost certain some will be flying the Strawhat flag by the end of the manga.

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
He said he wanted ten crewmates, which to me suggests he'll get two more before the lineup is complete.

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
That's not what I mean...
People are commenting on the size of Gol's fleet. I'm saying that Luffy may have ten in his ship, but there are going to be -other- people joining up with him at the end with the Straw Hat Pirate Flag showing. And I've got a feeling it's going to be out of the Rookie teams they introduced. My Current Works

Re: One Piece -- Discussion
BB has 10 (not counting the horse that the doctor rides).
So he'll get one more than intended?
I hope the 10th is a female, Robin and Nico most get lonely.
Also, it looks like Smokers going to set up his own personal crew. So lets see: Smoker, Tashigi, Magellan, Coby, Hellpomo, Fullbody, Django, Hina, (maybe) Garp...Any other guesses?
