The energy is channeled away, but the device inside the Experiment is fully powered up now, and...... Does nothing. Prof. Konradd's voice can be heard though, echoing through the alley. I hope you are proud of yourself, killing someone to out of his own mind to even know he could die. I am not a vengefull man, but I believe in doing what is right, and mark my words, justice will be served, and it will not be quick.

The Cobalt Knight's shoulders slump as Talia lands behind him. Apparently he doesn't feel inclined to deal with this.

"Fracking Fleshling!" he growls as he whirls around to face the blue-fuzzed female. "Isn't it obvious yet that I don't give a demon's bowl-movement over fighting you? I have better things to do than put up with you sappy heroes because you don't have the stomach to do what needs to be done!"

He doesn't sound terribly happy.

"Now turn around and walk away. And I'll just chalk this all up to rampant stupid caused by a lack of oxygen in that blood sloshing through you. But if not..."

He hefts his shield into a defensive position, the face of the barrier like gazing into a bottomless pit.

"...you have no idea who the hells you're fracking with."

"Zmart girl," Keith grins right back and pulls the trigger, aiming for the feet of the knight.
You know what happens when a chunk of francium is forced at high velocity into water in a depleted uranium casing filled with contact explosives?
12 different flavors of BOOM.
Luckily, it gives off relatively little radiation when it goes off, and the explosion is only big enough to sublimate two heavy tanks, and only if they're right next to each other.

You know, responding to this was kind of pointless because: This has been a recording. This has been a recording. Do I need to repeat myself some more!? It has the destructive power of a A-bomb, but focused on a much smaller area and without the radiation, perhaps a hundred and twenty feet total.

Searchlights everywhere! It was almost as bright as day in some places.. There wasn't any UV content to the light though, just a harsh, lightly bluish color. Might hurt some things that were photophobic. Might also hurt if someone looked at them too long either.

That said, it didn't seem to be paying much attention to the tailing Empire fleet. Either their radar was crap or they just didn't care.

In any case, the searchlights suddenly converged on a few places as brilliant green shafts of light strobed down from the ships and began yanking people right off the street! This was probably bad news..

((If you want one of your PC's to be abducted, feel free to be grabbed by one of the lights, otherwise it'll just be NPCs. Maybe a vampire or two as well.))

Rae jumps toward Emily, trying to wrap his wings around her and shield as much of her as he can from the blast, at the same time throwing a half dome of blue denim about a foot thick up between them and the blast. The dome will most likely be vaporized, but it should protect Rae enough that he can survive the blast, and Rae's body, along with his layers of protective clothing, should protect Emily.

"What the..." Is all DC manages to get out before getting caught in a tractor beam.

Looks like they caught someone important, given that the business-suited psychic is the head of the Empire's main arms supplier...

Lillith picks out a black top, made of a fairly sturdy fabric, as well as a soft sweater in a pastel shade of green. She sets them on the counter, along with the jeans.

"Oh, of course." the part-succubus knew a thing or two about 'support'. "Do you have any style preferences?"

Looks like those ships are now focusing on a few points across the city... Odd.. Why would they be doi- PHWEEM!

Apparently they wanted to shoot lasers at something to clear a drop-off zone for their troupes that were now descending in similarly colored shafts of green light as the abduction beams. Hopefully, that intersection wasn't important. Seeing as it just had about half a dozen people helping out by feeding the poor and educating them about the dangers of vampirism, it might make a few people upset. Not the aliens though. They seemed pretty fine with that. They also seemed to have nifty armor and guns. That might be a bit of a problem.

Especially as it was happening all over the city.. Mostly the slums though.

It seems those abducted were taken by the same ship but locked away in separate places. The walls were a shiny eggshell white, or at least they would be if the lights weren't so dim. Everything was a ghastly shade of orange that hurt the eyes and there seemed to be a fuzzy field of energy at one end of the circular room. This was probably bad for the abductees...

There was also a giant disk at the top of the room like some sort of cap... Wonder what that did?

The walls seemed thin, though, if one looked through the energy field at least.
