Tyalla couldn't be happier.

After a long stretch underground, in such cramped, confined quarters that no Lairan Shifter should ever see, this is just perfect. Soft birdsong surrounding them, all the light she could drink, trees and bushes and ferns and more and more! On all sides! Everything she could want in one place.

Including Elkandar. The warmth of his skin, his gentle touch, the taste of his lips... everything else seemed secondary, fainter, less important.

The last thing Tyalla does before her world consists temporarily only of Elkandar, is send a pulse of energy through the ground, causing thick, leafy bushes to sprout up all around them and give them a bit of privacy. And then the curtain falls.

Elkandar is ecstatic!

And when the curtain opens after awhile, he'll just lay there for a few minutes, concentrating on breathing and holding Tyalla, stroking her hair.

He rubbed his temples.
"God dammit. I should of known."
He laughs as he realizes what's happening.
"My gosh, Clarissa. Don't joke about things like that."

"It was the only way I could get you to pay any attention to me! Now, listen up. There are things in this clinic that, y'know, could eat you and probably would try if I couldn't hit them so hard that their children's children's children would die from the injury. They have been warned that if they try any funny stuff I'll punch them so hard that their density exceeds their Swarzschild radius and become a black hole."

Ouch! Brutal! And Clarissa is more than capable of doing that without breaking a sweat!

"Whenever you're ready, the appointment will begin. But before we advance past this room, you have to agree to do anything I tell you to do while we're in there, kapeesh? That includes slugging thingies. It is for your own safety that I request this, Dave."

Yes, those would have been useful earlier. A grenade would have been better yet, but, the brothers will take what they can get, which is to say One and First will busy themselves loading up on explosives, while Alpha voices a sudden suspicion. "Is there any way back?"

"Yes, just touch the sword in stone that is in the middle of the room. Since we took out the Red Dragon the next area should be relatively easier."

Gink moves ahead, and eventually discovers a well camoflauged tent underneath the rail. about a quarter mile along the rail from where its master is. There seems to be movement inside the tent.

Whether Gordon is able to catch up to the others, and how long it takes, is up to Phantom.

Michalson squints and grimaces as Gink relies a message telepathically. Uh. It's hard to tell from this distance, but I think he foundsomething. Under one of the rails. We should push ahead.

"Alright. You sweep in from the left, I'll come from the right." Winston says, pointing and moving to the right hand side as they go forward.

"Yes, just touch the sword in stone that is in the middle of the room. Since we took out the Red Dragon the next area should be relatively easier."

"No, back to the first part." How else will they ever find out what was hiding beyond that door?

Well, its taken him some time, but now Gordon is holding onto one of the pillars that support the riftline. From here, he focuses, changing his face to something between his human face and his dragon face. If you don't want people to know its you, a new face is in order.

Megan goes outside into the village and sits down in the center.
She proceeds to send orders to the fabricator in her lab.
And wait.
It'll probably take till dawn for it to finish.

Winston and Magbot 2.0 encounter some weird dragon-human hybrid hanging alongside the rail. Clearly one of the assassin's accomplices!

Michalson encounters no one on his side.

Gink keeps watch on the tent. Still movement inside, but no one entering or exiting.

"Halt! Uhhh... who goes there?"
Winston says, moving behind Magbot 2.0 a bit.

It doesn't look a thing like that woman in the picture. Probably a guard dog.

"Someone who believes that you cost me the element of surprise."

Different vocal cord shape, different sounding voice. Gordon carefully drops down, dragonic eyes on the pair.

"Now, can we get on with justice?"

[Reinholdt]

Fugitive

"No. Not until you tell me why you're here and who sent you." Winston says, with narrow eyes.

Get on with justice could mean anything! Especially since one man's justice is another man's vengeance.

[ThePhantom]

"Certain things shouldn't be done. And I sent myself. Now, you want the one who kill Magtok. So, let's get on with it."

Gordon turns to face the tent.

Doesn't seem like Winston has a choice here. This guy seems like he's going to stick his nose in and isn't going to leave and Winston's not going to start any unnecessary fights.

Doesn't trust him in the least, but Winston begrudgingly follows him.

And so everyone arrives at the tent. It looks large enough to hold several people. There are tracks around it, but the ground is too trampled to tell much from it since no one here is Aragorn.

Whoever is inside doesn't seem to be coming out. No way of knowing if they know you're here.

Quietly, Gordon moves to the side of the tent. Let the others go for the expected entrances, Gordon will wait, then if needed cut through the side to get inside.

"Well we also got a potion, another coin purse that's getting sold and you got some golden earrings." Vincent pauses in thought.

"You really don't see what Catoline's doing when she's around, do you?"

Caroline shakes he head no. No. Did she behave this time? she looks sad at the thought that Catoline may have hurt Vincent again. I'm sorry.

He raises an eyebrow a bit surprised by this. He had never been called addicting before. Really he hasn't had too much luck with the ladies in his life. Living alone on a boat for a long period of your adult life can do that to you.

"I like being able to hold you. And I am glad you enjoy it. Hope you don't mind the beard."

Yeah Derek hasn't had a reason to shave and has grown a pretty impressive full beard and mustache to go with it, though he trims the mustache to keep annoying hairs out of his mouth. But overall kissing him invites more tickles less prickles from his facial hair.

Jezebelle sits back and studies Derek. Maybe that's it. Never kissed a man with a beard before. she smiles mischieviously.

"We were just picking vegetables." Vincent says. "You were able to change back pretty quickly this time. Are you getting better control over that?" In time, perhaps she'll have full control and the two personalities would blend together to a healthy one.

Derek leans back striking a thoughtful pose stroking his beard with a grin.

"So I guess we should be heading back sometime soon?"

Castle shifts about uncomfortably, moving cast off rubble out of Quint's way.

"Recovering the Sapphire Slayer is imperative, minor repairs are well within my capacity now that the geomantic taps are fueling my primary systems."

With little to stop him, the sapphiric servant would be well on his way to recovering the similarly hued sword shard. At least, if memory served correctly it was a sword.

Though flight had been a gift from the lord of the castle, Quint decided to neglect it for the time being given the unfamiliarity of the location he was proceeding towards. No need to accidentally fly over it and be lost looking for hours.

In any case, it could be assumed that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the azure android would find his way, eventually, to the location in question.

Yo Serph! Am I correct in assuming that the Den of Demons is in some alternate world, separate from Nexus proper?

Let's get to the tent from both sides, Michalson tells Winston in a low voice. He does not like the berk that decided to tag along with them and does his best to disregard him. Cut off her escape. I have spells that can catch her if she tries to run.

Winston nods and does his best to get to the opposite side of whichever side Michalson is going to take. Well... actually he gets the Magbot there and kinda stands to the side of that.

Though out of curiosity, he looks up and around, half expecting ninjas to drop down from above as an ambush with the tent as a decoy.

And as our brave vigilantes attempt to surround the tent, the tent completely fails to make its reflex roll.

It's surrounded!

Nothing seems to happen. Oh wait... there's a noise in the distance. Sounds like the Riftline train is approaching from the Riverside end. It's still some way off though. Maybe two or three posting rounds?

"Oh no you don't..." Darrel chuckles quietly, hurling a black fireball of his own to meet the pit lord's in the middle. As he chuckles he shifts form, his body becoming like that of a shadow...

And that chuckle becomes a loud, hissing laugh. "Fire iss not your tool to usse againsst me. Fire and darknesss are mine to control." He slams his fists into the ground, sending lines of black fire running across the ground to suck in what little light there is at this time of night.

And as he draws the sword, Damon, not Darrel, lets himself be coated in black fire as well.

"I'm feeling hungry. I've never tassted your kind before, but I'm ssure you'll make a fine addition to my collection." And then he runs for the pit lord tasked with keeping the portal open, spreading black fire behind him as he goes.

Swamp
"Yeah, I'll be going back to Ilpholin now to inform her that this operation was successful. Why?"

Wilderness

"Don't worry. That's why I'm bringing him here." Wolfy says before snapping his fingers. With any luck, Valente will appear on the bed, still "asleep". Assuming he appears, Wolfy gives Astrana a little hand motion to get her to spray the poor guy,

Valente does indeed appear, bed and all. He's currently asleep, which means he appeares to be a rather well preserved corpse. Astrana knows better of course. He doesn't even stir. This isn't natural sleep. Shame he isn't wearing any clothing aside from some simple boxers.

[Cyan Beach]

While the first pit lord draws his sword and gestures towards Damon, casting a weakness spell on the zern which unless resisted will sorely hinder his efforts to move.

The second one looks up at him and looks at him in an expression which can only be recognition. "Dragon!" It shouts and suddenly let's go of the portal and suddenly lifts itself off the ground in a single powerful wing beat. Possibly knocking Damon backwards as the pitlord takes to the air.

Swamp

"No reason, just wondering what your tribe is doing." T shaman replies with a smile. "You can take Obsidian and go now."

[Wilderness]

Astrana's mouth opens but doesn't close until she stood there gawking at Valente for some time. Then slowly lifts the spray, completely speechless as she sprays the vampire with the spray.

I think so. It was weird, because she didn't even realize I was in her body this time. It was her body, but my mind. At least, after the game was over.

Must be a glitch in the mini-games.

Derek leans in for another quick kiss before she gets up.

"It's just a small bag I can handle it thanks though. If you want to stay longer, I am in no rush to get back."

The vampire is sprayed without incident. He doesn't stir, or otherwise indicate he noticed anything. She'll have to put a bit more effort into waking him to see if the spray had the intended effect.

Astrana continues to just look at Valente for a moment before she get's out of her stupor. This was it, she had to wake him up and have him make his choice, for good or bad. She takes one deep breath, two, three and then she feels safe enough in her role as confident girlfriend again to try to wake him up.

She shakes him gently, suddenly seeming perfectly confident in herself.
