There's no place like home. Whether in the suburbs of Inside, a desolate mountain cabin, a dingy flat somewhere... this is where PCs live. This is a meta-location, as the houses themselves may be many miles apart from one another. Or in separate dimensions.

If you want an address in this thread, please PM me and I will post the locations in this post.

123 Generic Drive: Home of John and Jack Doe and their daughter Jane. PM <player name 1> or <player name 2> if you want to interact here. Located near Inside and the Taverna Generica.

Mary's House: Home of Mary Moe. Located many miles from Town civilization in an isolated mountain valley. Unlikely to be found by someone who doesn't know where it is. Mary Moe's player is <player name 3>.

OOC Rules:

1. Please post location tags on each post. Ex: [123 Generic Drive] or [Doe House]

2. The players who own each residence control what goes on within it. A residence is a quasi-PC and cannot be godmodded. You can attempt to break in / burn it down / knock on the door, etc, but it is up to the player controlling the home to let you know what happens next. If a player wants to make their home entirely impervious to everything, that is their right (however boring that might be). Players are permitted to make additional ooc rules if they want that apply to their own homes. By entering their property, you are agreeing to roleplay within their cosmology.

3. Play nice. Any disagreements between players, please take it to one of the OOC threads or PMs.

75 Ocean Rd - Daisuke's new house, this house is near the beach, and has a mixture of traditional Japanese styling and modern comforts. Player: horngeek

134 Ninja Drive - a 1 story ranch style home owned by Dave Smith, professional Ninja. Player: Mindfreak586

1312 Hidden Valley Road: Home of Judy the Assassin and Mint, their daughter, Xerina, and adopted Grey Render; Rocky. Players: Lex-kat, Quinsar, Neon Knight

4224 Wing House - Home of George Kingsley. Player: Gimliggamer

Al's Lab - Home of AMEN scientist Al Rato. He does most of his experiments and research here. Living with him is the cyborg Delta 88, or just Delta for short. Her programming has been modified by Al, making her a live-in servant of sorts. Al's player is ApeofLight, and Delta's player is KerfuffleMach2.

Alhana's Dwelling - In the far reaches of Acro can be found the nice little wooden house of the banished elven princess, Alhana Starbreeze. She made it herself with some magical help from man known as Lee. On the outside and inside are intricately carved designs. It has two bedrooms a kitchen and a bathroom. Player: Viera champion

Basil's Cabin - In an especially woody and remote area, some ways from the city, a cabin sits in the woods. It doesn't seem much different from any of the other hunting cabins one sometimes runs across, except that its scale is sized for minotaurs rather than humans. Players: Wolfbane and Happyturtle

Brendan's Upstairs - The 'upstairs apartment' at Brendan's House of Hobbies. A fairly sizeable yet still cozy home for the proprietor, his wife, and their guests. Possibly infested with lionfish. Players: Recaiden and Bushranger

Clearing in the woods - A one story log cabin built in a large clearing in the woods not far from the Dancing Fox Inn. Complete with wooden fence. This is the residence of Zaydon, Opie, and Kate. Anybody can stop by, but if nobody's home, the place will be locked. Zaydon and Opie's players are KerfuffleMach2, and Kate's player is celtois. Note: Zaydon is now deceased, and Opie has taken to living in DFI. As it stands, the cabin is abandoned.

Eldena's Cottage: The dwelling of the Viera red mage Eldena. On the outskirts of Town. Not very difficult to find. Appears to be shaped out of a tree. That's because it was. Yay magic! People are free to enter and exit as they please. But don't break anything unless Eldena is there. Player: Viera champion

The House of the Rising Sun - Large house on a headleand facing the Emerald Sea, which, by strange happenstance, borders both Town and Acronymia. Home to Natasha, Oracle of the Dawn, and occasionally Khiansa Daggerfall, adventurer, and Natasha's sometimes lover.
Player: Kid Kris
Anyone can drop by to seek the Oracle's wisdom, or rest in the gardens, or just to say hi and share a pot of tea, but please PM, as the player may not read the thread.

Junkyard workshop - In a junkyard in the ACROverse, what looks to be a shoddy shack has been built. This building was made by Runner before he joined GLoG. Inside is a high tech workshop and laboratory. The building has very high security, and any attempt to break in immediately causes the workshop to alert Runner, which will bring him over to investigate. Runner and Sentry both have security access. Runner's player is KerfuffleMach2, and Sentry's player is FaceofEvil.

Nabrius' Domain - Located in the depths of Hell, Nabrius' home is rather comfy despite its location. A fireplace provides most of the light in the room. The low, crackling hellfire lights up the carpets floor and the comfy chair and love seat off to the side On the left wall is a small bar, well stocked with wines and champagne, along with some harder drinks. Directly opposite of the fireplace is a bed. Red silk sheets cover it, a curtain hangs ready to be drawn around it, and it's easily large enough for two people to move around freely. The only exit from the room is a single, windowless door opposite of the bar. A small sword rack hangs on the door by the wall, able to hold a single blade. Player: Gulaghar

The Nest/Rael's House - A converted hotel in the Red Zone. It currently houses Rael Kairos, a 300 year old vampire, a large number of strange lifeforms he's created, and a couple of dozen other vampires that he's made.
Break-in attempts are fine, even if Rael isn't home, as the other residents are capable of defending themselves against intruders. If you're just looking to mess with the place, he won't hold a grudge as long as you don't kill or maim any of the sentient inhabitants. Stealing most things is also okay, though any unique things he might come after you to get back. Full scale attacks are also welcome, but he will come after you.

New Rock Household - A nice place in the city's suburban area, just inside the walls. It was specially built to appear larger on the inside than it does on the outside. It has the works - White picket fence, workshed out back, spacious basement(with attached laundry room), a study, kitchen, bedrooms, guest room(with it's own bathroom), living room, parlor, dining room, entry hall, three bathrooms...Everything a typical suburban family could want, complete with a nice hardwood floor.

Darn shame Lucas and Lillith are turning the study into a room meant solely for displaying adventuring trophies, and Arthur's going to be using the workshed for his crazy experiments. The neighbors are going to complain, no doubt.

Phil's Warehouse - 3224 Seaside Rd Big, slightly rusted corrugated steel warehouse that was once abandoned, sits on a lot that's been overgrown with weeds and small trees and bushes and such...has a gravel driveway leading up to it...and...near the docks...
Oh, yeah, it has a hydraulic lift leading to an underground garage! And the inside is full of parts and half-finished inventions! Run by TechnoScrabble.

The Tarmikos Studio - This space serves as both a living area and workshop for artificer and plane-hopper Niara Tarmikos. It is, in fact, its own separate plane of existence - and a minuscule one at that. It comprises, in its entirety, of a single room (around 180ft. long, 60ft. wide and 30ft. tall), and is split into many separate rooms with simple partition walls. To those who know of its existence and have the means to travel there, it is easy to gain access to. Niara's player is Baeleck.

The demon loses both of it's eyes, giving a painful shriek. Somehow, though, it's only stunned for a few seconds, before resuming its hostile movements, taking on a low crouch. Fortunately for Cornelia, the creature is blind, but it starts to sniff the area.

Boris hops off of George, rolling with the presumably rough landing. He fires two more shots at the wounded dog, and it falls. Then he exchanges the assault rifle for his Saiga 12. The hounds quickly surround the sniper, with a constant growl.

Repost for Murkus, whenever he gets back on.

Well that isn't mildly awkward or anything.
At least Wolfy's partially dressed.

Karaglen's head disappears back under the covers for a moment, before poking back out.
She had to find where her snake went.

The little wyrmling slides out of the bed, animal in one set of claws, then stretches a bit on the ground.
"I haven't eaten in days..."
It's partially an answer to the question. Partially a realization on her part.

Wolfy's Realm

At least Lorraine is fully dressed. If she knew the wyrmling was a little girl, she'd feel pretty awkward too. But in the meantime, she sits on the bed, atop the covers and leaning back against the headboard, breathing deeply and just experiencing the scents.

Wolfy's Realm

The God smiles a bit at the mention of food, and gives a gesture, summoning up a table with a freshly roasted hog on it, the scent of succulent pork filling the air. "It's not as good as a fresh kill, but I imagine it's more to your tastes." He tells the wyrmling.

Cornelia seems to be stunned at the creature's durability. She hasn't seen a beast like this since leaving her own world. The gunslinger starts to reload again, George curving through the trees to give the demon a wide berth, when Boris decides to disembark.

"Boris!" Cornelia nearly screams in irritation and fear, as she starts to turn back. The gunslinger clicks her cylinder back into place, fully loaded once again. Four more cracks echo through the forest, breaking the frozen silence. Four shots, two towards each of the nearest dogs. The angry Cornelia bears down on them, gun growing hot in her hand, barrel smoking.

One of the hounds falls over, instantly dead. The other is hit in its legs, and turns toward Cornelia with a low growl.

Boris proves to be no slouch in combat. Another dog is taken down by a single blast of his combat shotgun. Another hound rushes towards the sniper, only to be hit in the snput by the shotgun's stock.

The Archvile continues to sniff the area. Soon, it gives a low laugh, and raises its arms. A single crack appears in the ground beneath George.

She'll find that most of the rooms have the same floorplan, and standard hotel furniture, though she might notice that three or four on one side have had the furnishings stacked up and are being used as storage rooms.

If she opens one or all of those, Rael will say "Sorry about that. No-one was up here, so we were using it as a place to dump off the overflow. We'll get it cleared out, unless there's anything you want from it.". It's mostly notes on different species, but it has some tech and weapons.

She shrugs and picks out a room, going in.

George whinnies hoarsely*and stumbles, barely avoiding a broken leg. Unless the crack is large enough to swallow him whole, the old horse swerves aside, throwing Cornelia off and sending her facefirst into the snow.

George turns to look at Boris and Cornelia apoligetically, still riding in a broad circle around the battle. Cornelia, meanwhile, bursts into a standing position and raises her gun, trying to put two shots in the demon's mouth. Boris seems to be handling himself quite nicely.

The crack wasn't the thing to worry about. Luckily, George and Cornelia barely managed to avoid the resulting explosion from the ground. That could've been bad.

Boris is still in combat against the three remaining hounds. He's waiting to have the best possible shots, and the dogs really like to swerve.

The Archvile gets a couple bullets in return for its trouble. It staggers, screaming in pain again. It rushes in Cornelia's direction, baring its claws.

George moves yet further away, upon seeing the infernal flames.

Cornelia's momentarily stunned by the magic, but her resolve quickly returns, and her smoking revolver clicks shut for the fourth time. All magical rounds. If only she'd thought to bring blessed ammunition.

The gunslinger backpeddles, likely avoiding any initial swipes, and fires into the creatures face once more! Only three shots, this time. That's all she had time for.

Although the Archvile remains in its blind rush, upon getting shot again, it stumbles and falls to the ground. It's still brrathing, but it probably won't be getting up anytime soon.

Meanwhile, the gunslinger might hear a few sounds. First is the soft thump of Boris hitting the ground, pounced on by a hell hound. Next, the sickening "crack" of the dog's neck being broken.

Hey, it's just like Doom! Shoot until it doesn't move anymore!

Cornelia takes a deep, shuddering breath, and checks her ammo count. Empty again. Damn. That was close.

The gunslinger reloads, walking toward Boris and the remaining dogs. Her back to the demon.

Yes, yes it is. ((And it is an Archvile from Doom II.))

Speaking of that Archvile, it's not moving much, but it is still alive. It slowly raises it arm once more, using the rest of its spare energy for one last purpose.

Boris, in the meantime, hastily gets up, grabbing the shotgun again, aiming it at one of the two remaining dogs.

Also, remember that one dog, that got shot in the face and clearly died? It's getting back up now. In fact, all of the previously dead hounds are getting back up and snarling at the two.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Aeryn speaks up, softly, after a time, sitting up in bed with the sheets draped across her shoulders.

I have to find some way to get myself together again. Without control...I won't be able to rebuild my realm.

Mike looks over his refection, past it and to Aeryn's reflection.

Aeryn, as it happens, is looking directly at him, no reflections required!
"If there's anything at all that I can do to help..."

I'm not even sure where to begin. There's just a jumbled mess to try and sort through.

"Then you need somebody to take a look inside," Aeryn says firmly. "If not me, someone."

She shrugs and picks out a room, going in.

She'll likely find it to be the same as any of the others, unless she picked a storage room or the one at the end of this hallway.


"Get whatever you need set up, and then come down to Floor 13 for more details when you're ready."

She comes down after a bit.

There's a Quill Wolf - the same kind of creature she saw strapped to the table in the basement - standing next to the elevator.

"Follow me, please."

She follows the creature, interested in its odd appearance.

It leads her to a small room, with one door in the far wall. In the middle of the room, there's a round table, at which Rael is sitting, along with several others. One has pale skin, dark hair, and yellow-orange eyes. I'm not going into full detail, but she's a short, relatively pretty, vampire woman matching that description. The other is a blue-black serpent, with wings and a human head. He also has a corona of shadows surrounding him, in which things seem to be moving. A Quill Wolf and a female D'Lattu are there as well, along with a white-skinned woman with curling horns and smooth orange blobs on her skin, and a man with black (literally black) skin with orange lines on it. He also has horns.

"Karyana, S'Kanthos, Rait, Laerti, Anmya, Taros, this is Zwei. Zwei, these are the people that you're most likely to have to work with at some point. Karyana is my second-in-command, S'Kanthos is responsible for transportation, Rait is the leader of the Quill Wolf clan, Laerti leads the D'Lattu, and Anmya and Taros are the heads of the Tire Geal group here.

(As he lists their name and job, he will indicate each one. Karyana is the vampire woman, S'Kanthos the serpent, Rait the Quill Wolf, Laerti the D'Lattu, Anmya is the woman with the orange blobs on her skin, and Taros, of course, is the man with black skin)

Now, what do you already know about the job?"

I was told something about bodyguarding and... working with unusual creatures, I think.
Being a death knight, I think I'm up for it.

Rael grins.

"Well, I think you can see where the unusual creatures bit came from. So you weren't informed of the specific hazards of this job? Also, one thing - what's a death knight?*"

*Rael doesn't come from a world where these are known, and the main thing that comes to my mind is a creature from Diablo that lives in Hell, so I doubt that that's the same, either.

Death knights are undead warriors of considerable power and stuff.

"Makes sense. I don't think that the person who brought you here told you about the existing feuds, is that right?"

"At present, Nurgle and Khorne both have a bounty on me. There are also problems with many of the governments and churches where I'm from."

Oh... who are Nurgle and Khorne?
