"I don't know what you want to hear." Syela says stubbornly, but Dorota doesn't even have to say anything before the girl sighs. "Okay, fine. I met Jim the other day and he took me out for lunch. He mentioned he had a homunculus, so I asked to go to him place and see it. That's where I was today." Of course, Dorota can probably guess that's not the only reason from the dress she left in. "We ended up having supper and there was some wine..." She rubs her arms. "I'm pretty drunk right now. We, uh, made out some, and... Almost had sex." She's so ashamed. She wishes she could just vanish into thin air.

Dorota rests her forehead on her fingers and sighs.

"Oh, Syela... I thought you were more responsible than that."

Syela winces and stares into her tea. She doesn't say anything, but somehow she manages to look even more miserable. Disappointing Dorota just had to be the cherry on top of this mess, didn't it.

"When you said you were going to hang out with that boy, I really didn't expect you to... get intoxicated and almost end up sleeping with him. Looks like I'll have to pay closer attention to what you're doing and where you're going in the future," Dorota continues.

Syela sighs and picks up her tea. "It won't happen again." She says quietly. Not that she expects that to change Dorota's mind on observing Syela. Can she just go curl up and die somewhere now?

"I expect it won't," Dorota says. "But I still need to make some changes. Some of it is my fault, I should have remembered most teenage girls don't act the way I did when I was your age."

"What kind of changes?" Syela asks, still not meeting Dorota's eyes.

"I'm not sure yet. I know I'm going to need you to keep me informed where you're going. And come back home earlier," Dorota says, realizing that she's sounding like a mother but carrying on. "For now, you should go get some sleep. You're going to be quite hung over tomorrow," she adds. "And don't drink any potions until it passes. They don't mix well with alcohol."

The Witch takes the gem as payment and sets it on the table. Sigma puts the quill into the ink bottle and signs off the parchment, then rolls it up, with a seal magically appearing on it.

The Witch's eyes begin to glow. "By the power granted to me by the Cosmos, I receive from you this payment, and grant your Wish in return."

The masked man hands her the parchment, which she holds in both hands. Her eyes shine even brighter. The Witch takes a deep breath and blows on the roll of parchment. A corner of it catches on fire, the flames alternating colors of the rainbow, until the parchment is consumed. No ashes or any indication that the parchment was there is left.

"Your message has been sent," says the Witch. "Your friends should have received it by now. Thank you for your business. Is there anything else I can do for you? If there is not, Plum will escort you out as soon as you're ready."

I don't need anything else, so I'll be on my way. Thank you for your time.

"Right, okay." Maybe if she were in some other state Syela would fight this, but right now she's not in a fighting mood. "Goodnight Dorota." Syela stands and sets down her barely touched tea. Unless the alchemist wants to stop her, Syela heads straight to her room.

All sorts of culture shock happens while in the Mall, of course, but I'd prefer to gloss over all of that unless it becomes pertinent.

After a quick jaunt over to Azik's to place a custom order, the Cat Burglar makes a stop here, looking over the stacks of miscellaneous gadgetry in search of the final components to his plan. His cat-eared bowler and mask have made a triumphant return, albeit one smelling strongly of fabric cleaner, so the shopkeeps might even recognize him.

Crissy can be found humming to herself happily, as she washes out the carafe from the coffeemaker, a smile on her face as she sways to the (indeterminate) tune.

Meanwhile, little Barnabas has fluttered into the shop with a little sack slung over his shoulder. Jim's homunculus is a small but stocky imp-like creature with four wings, a smiling batty face, and skin pigmented so he seems to have a rusty-red skin tone but is wearing a suit and tie "on top" of it.
He's looking for Syela, and will proudly present a letter with her name on it from the bag (it's really one of Jim's belt pouches) to anyone who asks until he finds her.
He apparently didn't catch Jim's tone to keep himself discreet. Barnabas isn't too bright.

After looking more closely, Reinholdt decides to buy a trio of the monocles. Because monocles.
"Anything you wanted?" He asks Vel.

Vel sets down a random bottle she had picked up to look at closer. "No I think I am all set for my Alchemical needs." She smiles her thanks to the shop keeper.

Syela is in her room writing at something in one of her notebooks, and there's where Barnabas will find her. Thankfully she left the door open. "Barnabas?" Syela sits up and sets her book aside. She definitely wasn't expecting him to show up. "What are you doing here?"

"Huh. All right." Reinholdt has a hard time imaging turning stuff down. Maybe some stuff, but not ALL the stuff. "Let's get back and see that portrait." Reinholdt says, turning to leave once again.

Maybe Vel is a magic brand snob. Buying magic items from a new store that just popped up could be risky. Much better to stick to the vendors that you know to make sure you get the highest quality items.

Either way she will head back to her apartment with Reinholdt, switching threads if nothing stops them.

Barnabas waves hello and flutters over to her. He'll land on the nearest stable surface. Sticking a fist in front of his snout, he bobs his head for a moment as if doing in impression of someone playing a horn. He then pulls the letter out from his bag. It's mostly unfolded or creased despite what it was being carried in, and is cool to the touch for some reason, although it should warm up like any piece of paper.

He showed up early, of course, keeping an eye on the ice creamery from MagMart, and then heading on over once his shift was over, but she's still not here yet. Dammit, they should've picked out a more precise time, chosen an hour or so for the both of them to arrive. He could be stuck waiting here all night, depending on how 'Tiffany' chose to interpret things. At least she wouldn't recognize him right off the bat, though, given his unusual choice of disguise.

Syela takes the paper. "Thanks Barnabas." She doesn't have to ask who this is from. She sighs, all the frustration at herself still present. Heck, the hangover is just wearing off now. But she has no reason not to read the paper, so read it she does.

Reina arrives about six. She's dressed much more comfortably, in small boots, jeans that look a little tight, and a conservative long-sleeved light blue shirt. No purse though and there's a lack of make-up. Not that Reina needs make-up. One could just as well presume she has some on anyways and there'd be question as to whether make-up could enhance or would detract from her image.

Anyways, she looks around and upon not spotting Magtok (who has a sekrit disguise!), takes a seat and hopes she's not here too early.

...and she still hasn't, since the counter is unmanned. There is a 'buzz for service' button, but the owner and soul employee of the Electronics Asylum is not in immediate view. She's likely in one of the great many floor-to-ceiling aisles.
