Re: LGBTAitP - Part 22: The Best There Is
*More hugs* The shower actually did help.
*Hugs*
Also *hugs*.
When I feel dysphoric (in the general sense), it usually helps me to verbalize as much as I can - best to another person, but I also talkwrite a lot to blank paper. I start with stating the exact bodily sensations, feelings, tinglings and then explore them from there.
Of course, that isn't exactly the easiest thing to do when feeling unhappy.
I can say, though... It really is no wonder I was so terrified during early puberty. The doctors I was able to go to haven't found anything (neither did the handful of body scans I've had, for that matter), but in all honesty it feels so weird I'm almost surprised they didn't.
Aw, please don't. I didn't even think I would react the way I did. Usually I'm much better at talking/thinking about it. And besides, I hardly think I could have stumbled upon it a better place than here - a safe place to get the bad feelings off my chest and you guys really did a great job of making me feel better about it.
*Hugs* I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Non-heteronormative marriages... Well, they're a sign that times are changing. They imply hope (if that makes any sense - wait, no, even if it didn't ).

Having thread on the needle is usually a good idea too.
And you left off the '~Bianca' again, by the way.
Lanaya:
It could just be that traditional-ish weddings are much more common, so you're used to them. And there really hasn't ever been any kind of bar to them, in general, while LGBTA+ people are just now really being allowed to get married, so it's not only a newer experience, it's a good change.
Or something like that. I don't know if I conveyed my point very well.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 22: The Best There Is
I figured it's time to stop lamenting about no relationship. I got a bass today, I'm taking lessons, and maybe I'll buy some makeup, to feel a little bit like the womanly man I want to be.

... I'll get it the first time one'a these posts, mark my words...
(Thanks. *Hugs* )
A bass guitar, you mean?
... All that's left to do is grow your hair (if you haven't already) and join a band.
(There's nothing wrong with lamenting, you know. *Hugs*)

The...well...alter ego is starting to feel stronger and more prominant in my life at the moment. I don't know if this is a passing thing or not, but I can't wait for uni. So long as you smell of alchocal, you are free to experiment a bit...

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 22: The Best There Is
First off, in thrash and power metal, we call it a bass. The only people who call it a bass guitar are those who aren't called bassists or fans.
My hair is also pretty long, and my friend actually wanted to start a band.
And I know there's nothing wrong with lamenting, but when a relationship lasts three days, but the pain goes far beyond that, I get worried that I'm going past lamenting and into self-harm. I don't want that.Steam username is Triscuitable.

Well, Caesar was stabbed in the back 23 times. Morbid, but "In memory of salads" was my idea.
EDIT: So my friend just broke up with his boyfriend. I don't understand all the deals of it (well, I should clarify he was born a woman), but he's really, really bummed. It makes my issues seem insignificant.Last edited by Triscuitable; 2012-04-12 at 08:15 PM.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 22: The Best There Is
Thank you all for the warm welcome!
Colonies, huh?
Quite good actually save for some emotional confusion, but I guess that's part of life.
How's it in the old motherland then?
Talk about it...
I recognize those same things in myself...except that I'm not entirely cool about it yet. It is a bit depressing when you feel ugly everytime when looking at a mirror, and the most positive thought you can come up with is: "Well, at least anyone won't ever fall for me and be disappointed." ...Yeah.
...I fear that that sounds a lot more emo than what I really am
Do not be deceived!
I use IRC sometimes! Did a project for a class last year and the guys in the group insisted on using it as channel of communication.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 22: The Best There Is
Who knows? It could even just be an attempt to seem edgy.
Actually, I kind of skimmed this one. Marriage in general isn't my thing. And the thing Astrella linked to--you mean the comic thingy? I would have thought that equally cute between a straight couple. Stuff like that is just sweet and manages to reach my crusty jaded old heart.
I'm not into metal and I still just call it a bass. I'm pretty sure it doesn't count as a guitar anyway due to only having four strings.Jude P.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 22: The Best There Is
Doubt it since it's not his only trans song. Not to mention the fact that he used to (don't know if he currently does) wear traditionally female clothes occasionally.
Also I'm sorry but did you just suggest that Alice bloody Cooper would do a country song about a transperson to seem edgy?Last edited by pffh; 2012-04-12 at 10:06 PM.

Now with 100% more hawt!
I almost want to say "Sic Semper [some pun or another]", but I can't think of a pun... Nor can I think of anything in particular to wish death upon. >.>
