Sariai goes elsewhere in the town.

Somewhere else, Galinai is sipping an orange juice and waiting.

Anya peruses the files she's been given. "I see. And what makes these spirits or 'Bases' as you say, special enough to warrant attention?"

Ivaz turns so she can lean backwards against the desk, folding her arms across her chest.

'Cuz you can trap these guys in an item and use their power.

The names written on the files are Ysta, Xerlic, Medric, Aion, Palta, Eram, Kelnon, Shaydon, Kremna, Rasslin, and Zel. Zel is the one who Ivaz pointed out before, the one who isn't a spirit.

More detailed descriptions will be given as requested.

The construction crew puts on specialized hard hats. It makes them impervious to damage. They ignore the abominations and go about their work.

The drill makes its way out of SAINT with whatever passengers are on it or following it or whatever and into another thread! Probably Magtok's Arena if anything. I suppose that'll be up to Alex.

[Security Office]
"How? And what would be their powers if done so?" The power to say... turn into a broom isn't all that useful. Usually.

Anya will go down the list and ask for each power in turn if necessary.

I said they could be called elementals.

Ysta is Lightning, Xerlic is Wind, Medric is Fire, Aion is Time, Palta is Life, Eram is Kinetic, Kelnon is Water, Shaydon is Earth, Kremna is Light, and Rasslin is Shadow.

As for capturing them, you just have to take whatever it is you want them to be bounded to and shove it right into their heart. She thrusts her arm forward, as if demonstrating.

"That's it? Why hasn't anyone stabbed them with a bunch of swords already then?"

Ivaz raises an eyebrow. Trust me, lady, if it were that easy, I wouldn't be here right now.

I mean, it's not like you can just walk right up and go, "Hey, I'm gonna stab your heart with this big knife so I can keep you forever and ever!", and then expect them to just stand there.

[Security Room]

"Oh that's right. I forgot how horrible you were at being subtle." Rocket. Launcher.

Seriously assassin's are supposed to SNEAK up and stab them in the heart.

"Well you're certainly free to pursue these spirits at your leisure and get anyone who's willing to help you. As I already mentioned." Anya sure isn't going to do it. She's here strictly as management, brokering things, and defending the base if necessary.

So, you don't want a crack at any of these guys? Really? Huh. She shrugs a little, then goes to take everything back. Well, if you change your mind, let me know. I can probably get my sister to help you out. She goes to leave the way she came in.

Many of Reinholdt's other characters would have jumped for a chance at this, but she's just an old hag. Or so it seems.

"I'll be happy to provide you with materials that you might need in assistance with their capture if that's what you desire."

Ivaz stops, with one leg already in the shadow. She turns to face Anya, grinning a little.

I didn't say I expected you to do stuff I can't. I just figured you'd want a little power for yourself. I mean, who doesn't?

And with that, she walks into the shadow and disappears.

She reappears from a shadow in the main room. She starts heading towards the lodging area.

[Security Room -> Anya's Office]

Anya doesn't.

She stands and heads to her office, to view things from there, but largely to fill out some reports and paperwork.

[Moff Chumley]

Dimension Lock is dismissed, ya say?

The Moff promptly dissapears. Prince will find a rather large portal opening under his feet. About ten feet in diameter. Should be rather hard to avoid falling through there...

He doesn't even try. The golden glow intensifies, completely enveloping and obscuring him as he falls.

[Moff Chumley]

...and Prince finds himself in the Yellow Road. Since he's an unaugmented human, it'll be an infinite, nearly featurless void. That's yellow. The Moff is there, a ways off.

Whatever Prince is trying, it almost certainly won't work in the Yellow Road.

It already has, and he's no longer just a human. Were he one for cliches, he would say the following: You have brought the wrath of the Exalted upon yourself! As he is not one for cliches, he just draws his sword and tries rush at Moff.

[Moff Chumley]

Ah. Exalted. *throat clear*

The Moff doesn't dig exalted.

The Moff's not gonna be easy to beat on the Yellow Road. He yawns a bit, and pulls out Synchronicity. Plays a few notes. And suddenly he's off to the left, and back a couple dozen feet. The harmonica fills the void, as if it's being played directly into Prince's mind. After a moment, The Moff'll pause. I could just leave you in here, forever, you know. You wouldn't be able to get out.

You could. But honestly I find this place no more boring than the rest of the universe, so you would really have done nothing more than change the color. Edgar says, putting his sword away. Plus, I can't imagine you're planning to.

[Moff Chumley]

The Moff ignores him, and nips off to Trog's to have himself a beer.

Time passes differently in the Yellow Road. The half hour the Moff is gone is equivalent to about a year, from Prince's point of view. He won't starve, he'll be perfectly healthy. If he can deal with sitting there for a year.

(He's no longer Prince, he's Edgar. He has multiple personalities, Prince being one of the more obnoxious.)

Edgar just waits.... He's waited for millenia..... He honestly wouldn't care if it was a hundred years.

[Moff Chumley]

Excellent. So he won't mind if Moff takes his time... gets a few more beers... burns down an orphanage... and forgets?

Well, whether he likes it or not, that's what happens. He may not mind it, but unless another character able to travel the Yellow Road is willing to take him out, there Edgar/Prince/Whoever he is shall sit.

Nite wakes with a yawn. "Can't just sleep all my time away." He get's up and makes his way to the elevator, and leave SAINT.

1) How? He's nonmagical, unless he reversed The Moff's... whatever he did. Which would also totally extend to being an exalted, by the way. If that had been mentioned previously, it would've been removed. But I digress.
2) The patch The Prince/Edgar is in, isn't connected to anywhere. He's stuck there.

(He wasn't Exalted when the Moff de-magicized him. He sealed his Exalted powers in the book because he was confident he could win without it. Hence why he was so unconcerned about the whole thing.)

Stowing the scroll in his pouch to enchant later, Edgar looks for weaknesses in his prison.

Anything short of imprisoning myself in a worse prison or permanently killing myself. I really do despise boredom you know. Pain and sorrow are at least something, boredom is like both without the interesting bits.
