This is entirely possible. After all, we know Pinkie Pie can be resolutely evil entirely devoted to an idea when she puts her mind to it.

The fear was definitely created by ignorance of her perspective. I don't know if there was an incident or if she just called out her own name to try and greet the ghost town (and its not very well hidden residents), but I'm thinking Pinkie would've mentioned the "no party" thing as equivalent to the "pony stew" thing while she was trying to convince Twilight.

Oi, only the mane cast is crazy ( it seems to be a side effect of chaneling vast amounts of magic). Its just that ponyville is a frontier type town, and that the ponys are gulible.

Allow me to demonstrate the craziness of the townies.

Altho this might be better on the dwarf fortress thread, there is a realy great mod for it that adds ponys as a playable races, including some great ideas for both zebras and buffalo.( Sacred white buffalo anyone?)

It may sound silly,but even if you dont play it some of the stuff in it is prime fanfic/world bulding fuel.
