I'm actually really happy that out of all the crap they're revamping, MLP got a good revamp. The G3 animation crap they handed out in the early 2000s was a complete waste of film imo. It's just great that I can share something that I loved in my childhood with up-and-coming generations (currently my boyfriend's 8-year-old nephew and 2-year-old niece) without there being to huge a gap in quality/relevance. The old MLP movies/series, while great for nostalgic value, really haven't stood the test of time for me. I still enjoy watching them, yes, but I think if I sat the 2-year-old down in front of it, she'd probably watch it for like 5 minutes and then go do something else. I've watched about 5 episodes with her and she's sat for almost the entire duration of each. (She has the attention span of a small rodent, being 2 and all, so this is quite impressive for her.) It's great because it gives her and I something to do together that no one else around the house will or are interested in. So in that sense, it makes me happy that I can bring something that made me happy as a kid to another kid.
