It depends largely on the region. I prefer winter in places like Canada, Colorado, etc, where there's lots of snow. In the Midwest, I prefer spring, because of the foliage though. But down here in TX, summer is hard to beat. The sky is always bright, the pools are always sparkling, and barbeque is always on the grill. Since I live in Texas now, I'm giving the win to summer.

So are these supposed to get longer and longer and longer until the thread breaks down? This looks fun, but I'm not sure how this "compounding interest" of questions is supposed to work.

Not really, that the direction this went and I just kinda rolled with it, but I am used to people answering questions directed at them or maybe a few they couldn't pass up but not all of them ^_^. With the smaller amount of answers per post I think its much easier to read though, and I can follow more of a rabbit trail with the questions. If someone responds with something that intrigues me I can ask them something based on that instead of thinking up just more general questions.

And now for my question: what is your favorite season of the year, and why?

(in my case, spring -- everything's fresh and new, the leaves are opening, the birds are returning, and there's the fun of planning and planting the gardens. The weather's mild, there's no heat, no cold, no violent thunderstorms -- what's not to like?)

I like fall the best, the colours, the perfect weather for a cute jacket, my birthday all together.

The time at which I function best is about 2-3am, but I usually feel pretty guilty if I'm up that late. I like dusk and dawn, but when it's not winter, I'm usually only awake for dusk.

- The decorations in my room consist largely of scrounged posters from magazines, mostly of various space pictures, but a few of those old TMNT ones from the magazine. Also a large rug on the wall. Swords and lots of books in bookcases are the other primary features, but they aren't there for decoration, so I'm not sure if they count.

- I love natural history museums, in part because they are the most likely to have dinosaur exhibits, and in part because I'm interested in history and such. Art and science museums are also cool.

- My favourite boardgame is probably Arkham Horror. I'll try and stick to one favourite.

- I like riding my bicycle, and do/did/will do that a lot. Favourite's probably sparring, but that requires more than one person.

- The only jobs I've had have been at the theatre. I like directing best.

- I'm not very organised. I only become organised when it becomes necessary, and then I tend to grudge it. I just do what seems best at the time.

- I prefer dark beer or red wine, then other beers and wines, then rum, then other hard liquor, and I'm really not fond of soda. (Most days of the week, however, I just drink water.)

- I would rather have the day of adventure. I'm not really much the partying sort.

- Wisdom would be my lowest stat, I think, as it's tied to Spot, and I've been known to miss terribly obvious things in front of me (such as the living room furniture having been rearranged).

- My best... might be Constitution, I suppose. I tend to heal rather quickly and rarely get sick. If not that, Intelligence or Dexterity, but those are harder to tell for sure. I wish it were Strength, but it is not (though that's better than it used to be).

- For shoes, I have a set of sneakers and a set of boots for the winter. Then I have doubles in black, because my others weren't black and I do enough tech work at theatre that I usually need black shoes every couple of months. The black ones also double as more formal footwear if people complain to me that my footwear is too disreputable for going places.

- My favourite numbers... 13, 7, and 10 come to mind. No real reason.

- I wouldn't want to meet any famous or historical figures. I'd have no idea what to say. My favourite fictional characters would mostly also be a bad idea to meet. (Fëanor or Elric of Melniboné, for instance.) Maybe Aragorn? Or Finrod? They're a bit safer. Still wouldn't know what to say, though.

- Munchkin, unless you were referring to things like Poker and Hearts and what.

- I like autumn the best. The weather is usually (to my mind) nice, in the low seventies, and the colour is interesting.

- I can't skip stones. I've never lived near a river, pond, or other body of water, so I've never even tried. I sometimes wonder if I would be able to.

- Late afternoon/early evening, maybe around sunset. It usually seems to be the most pleasant outdoors then, and it's late enough in the day that I feel more active.

Lets see.
Very much a night owl. I work nights (12 hours nights) and even on my days off if i am in bed before 2am something is wrong.

Ice cream every time. Dont care for yogert.

First pet was Tiger a german sheppard, alaskan husky mix.

Coffee makes me throw up, it tastes horrible, cant stand the stuff.

As for music, anything but hard core rap. Dont care for pop/rap but can stand it. Usually listen to heavy metal, alternative, and hard rock. But was raised on 60's through early 80's.

I only speek bad english. Tried to learn spanish and german but never could, I am bad enough at english I dont need to slaughter another language. Used to know sign language but never used it so forgot.

Hair style well since I am going bald on top I just shave my whole head. Used to have a gotee but shaved that for Halloween a few years ago and my girlfriend likes it shaved more so I have kept it that way.

I enjoy a really sweet rent discount so yes for the most part. I hate the kids around here though.

I do like where I live, but I wouldn't want to live here forever since it's a rented house and I wouldn't want to raise a family in London. But for the foreseeable future it's fine.

Sharks; I'm also slightly claustrophobic; and I appear recently to have developed a problem with surgical needles. I also have a weird thing with heights. I find myself freezing at even low heights (under 10 feet) if I feel insecure, but I'm usually fine at higher altitudes

Several! Probably St Marcellin at the moment.

I like most kinds but can occasionally be a bit fussy. The last few sandwiches I've made were chorizo, spinach, radishes, manchego cheese and truffle oil on ciabatta. That was pretty good.

Right at this moment, I live in Leicester. Which is amazing. The room itself is pretty awesome, but I'm hoping when I leave university to get a job around Leicester and an apartment for myself.

Overall, I live in two places. University and home back in East Anglia. I like my parent's home, it's a relaxing place to be. But I prefer Leicester. Plus, Leicester has better internet.

For a check-up on my leg (it's healing well; I can mostly walk on it now).

Do you have any phobias?

I have a terrible phobia of dogs, which I'm trying to get over (sadly without success thus far). It has gotten me into trouble occasionally, running from the dog instead of paying attention to things I should've been minding.

I also have a good deal of medical anxiety, which is likely a phobia. Then, I am also fairly frightened of elephants, and very wide open spaces and crowds make me feel uneasy.

What is your favourite kind of cheese?

I'm fond of several kinds of cheese, but I am not really sure what my favourite would be. Unfortunately, I haven't had all that many different kinds. I've liked all I've had save the blue cheeses.

I love the rain. It's nice to listen to, and it almost always means that the sun isn't shining brightly (which, while I do think it is pretty, has a tendency to give me a headache). The only time I'm not so fond of it is if I have to walk a long ways.

How about a nice started question for you guys though. Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Both? I don't really have a job right now, and due to my life-long insomnia, my "regular schedule" typically involves 30-40 hour cycles. So, sometimes I'm awake at 5 in the morning, sometimes I'm awake at 9 at night. It all depends, really.

Next question, do you prefer ice cream or frozen yogurt?

Neither. Frozen custard is far better than either.

Have you had any pets? If yes what was your first one?

Yes. I have had many pets. Throughout my life, I've had nine cats (current number is at five), four mice, about a dozen snakes (turned out the one we got was pregnant), an ancient frog (If I remember correctly, I'm pretty sure the thing was around 20-21 years old by the time it croaked), a rat (which we still have), and a newt that we named Gingrich. The first pet I had was a cat.

Can you whistle a tune?

I can semi-competently whistle, but I'm definitely not good enough to do a song, or even different notes.

It depends. There are advantages to each. Day-to-day I prefer eating at home: restaurant food is not very healthy and after a few days of eating it exclusively my body starts to complain. But I do enjoy eating out when I get the opportunity, even if the restaurant in question isn't anything "special".

This probably depends on the exact nature of the offer. If limited to vehicles that exist, I'd have to go for the car, I think, just because I would get the most hassle-free fun out of it. I would be tempted by a Blackbird but realistically, when am I ever going to fly that? It's just going to sit around looking cool, and even if I did fly it the upkeep would be phenomenally expensive. The Concord(e) is almost as cool, but suffers from many of the same problems. I would like an awesome boat, but it wouldn't fit all that well with the way I live. I'd have to make excursions specifically to use the boat, rather than using the boat to live my life in an awesome way. So the car.

But if I'd be allowed to invent my own awesome vehicle that doesn't currently exist (assuming, obviously, that somebody designs it so that it actually works) then I'd have the aircraft - it would be much more versatile.

I'd have to think carefully about it, because there are a few people I'd want to punch, most of them from my private life. I'd be tempted by Lord Falconer, but that's a bit political, so probably either Simon Cowell or Piers Morgan (although I believe Jeremy Clarkson did once punch the latter with no consequences other than a general thumbs-up).

eBay. This gets expensive. There are several websites that I default to when bored, though, or trying to put off starting something I don't want to do - Cracked; TVTropes (less of late, it started annoying me a while ago); Cricinfo is a particular favourite; Wikipedia; or, if all else fails, I have been known to spend a while just refreshing my email.

Heavier than a ton of bricks. I've slept through a tornado... in a tent. The next morning our tent and one other tent were the only two left standing on the entire campsite. I didn't notice at first. I slept way past dawn. I woke up in an eighth of an inch of water, wondering why all my stuff was wet. I sleep like a champ.
