I don't mind the idea of shipping, and sometimes it generates great ideas and characters, see Midnight, but I dislike actually reading it... Is that odd?

Nah, that's not so weird. I'm pretty much the same way. I like to try and think about how people/pony/etc would act and behave normally, but I get tired pretty quick of combinatorial shipping walls save for the sheer audacity of the truly comprehensive instances. And, I mean, if they do lead to more interesting ideas in a given fandom, well good for them. That can be fun too.

Orzel News:

1) Mass Effect Playthrough. Applejack Femshep. Only using females, krogan, and geth except for loyalty missions or when forced.

2) MLPRPG is put on the back burner. No time to. Complete in time for playtest.

3) MLP Uno delayed for same reason.

4) MLP the card game is on as I can easily do it via index cards. But it does have a RPG elements. Once finished I will try to playtest it on GitP. Basic Rules

Player split into even teams (1v1, 3v3, etc)
Each player picks 4 pony cards, one for each suit.
Each player starts with 3 cards and 6 hearts
Players without hearts leave the game.

Teams take turns.
On your team's turn, your team draw a card and give it to a player. The team that goes first doesn't draw on their first turn.

After drawing, each player on the team may play one card to activate a pony card.
Spades activate attacks
(Pillow Toss: Deal 2 damage)
Clubs activate defenses
(Cloud Walk: Prevent the next damage deal to you)
Hearts activate Heals and buffs
(Stitch Dress: Heal 2 damage)
Diamond activate nondamage stuff
(Stare Master: You and target pony discards down to 1 card)

The original Lyrical Musings wasn't grim dark anyway, so a grim dark settings for sequal won't fit. Now, remember that Fanon once had Bon Bon trying to over-feed Lyra in order to keep her. The extreme idea of "the way to a mare's heart is through her stomac". Use that over affection for comedic purpose. Maybe Lyra is having a horrible dream after a particularly robust feeding session, maybe Bon Bon is driven to find the perfect mare-catching candy recipe, maybe that obsession rivals Lyras.

"Sweet Cravings" seems like a good title. A story of Bon Bon's obsession with keeping her mare.

You know you're having a bad day when in your morning, you wake up to something wrong with your wireless router, and in the process of trying to fix it, something happens to your netbook that causes it to completely detonate and won't even get past startup.

I'm lucky I have my old computer and an ethernet cable, because direct connection to the cable modem works, but I have no idea what's wrong on either case and I fear my netbook is completely busted, as is my router.

Which also means I lost everything about Guide to Dating except for the little excerpt that I posted here.

Essentially, Bon-Bon finds out about her mate's obsession through some undetermined means. Heartbroken, she is now determined to pay her back in full. She drugs Lyra and sticks her into a room, Saw-style. Then comes the psychological tormenting and what not. (including a test where Lyra has to choose between saving herself and Twilight Sparkle, who somehow ended there as well.)

I now feel bad for even dreaming of such an idea.

I think I'm going hide here. Under this rock. For a long while.
