Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Cute thread, I got a bunch of images to use for NPCs in my games now. And thanks to whoever put up those planescape and 2E pictures by DiTerlizzi - I remember thinking "Whoa!" when I first saw those. I'm running a Sigil game soon, so I'll even get a chance to use Cirily at least.
Here's a cute pic from a Paizo adventure path: Laori, cleric of the insane evil god Vog-Zarthon, and constantly cheerful S&M chick:

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Excuse me if I don't know my GAR properly, but...
SpoilerAren't Kenshiro, Toki and Raoh the epitome of Manliness, the Holy Trinity of GAR?
Speaking of which, where is Archer, the Original GAR?
I also agree with the Face. Gattsu oozes testosterone. If anything, the only thing I can agree with you Titan is that Kamina is a walking symbol of manliness. Or rather, was.Retooler of D&D 3.5 (and 5e/Next) content. See here for more.

It is a joyful thing indeed to hold intimate converse with a man after one’s own heart, chatting without reserve about things of interest or the fleeting topics of the world; but such, alas, are few and far between.

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Yay, thread is alive again (and I actually got off my lazy butt and read it through again). Hurrah for that.
Guess I should contribute with something more meaningful than yayness, though. So...

I tried to make a picture of one of my D&D characters, but it turned out... not terribly sexy, at all.
Might try again, though. For now, I'll just post these pictures vastly better than my own - it's probably for the best, anyway

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
You could be me, and have the Red Ring being the only thing standing between you and the following:
- Halo 3 ODST
- Halo Wars
- Gears of War
- Fable 2
- BlazBlue
- Armored Core 4A
I have 2 of those, and reserved the leftover ones with a $10 premium. My Xbox died shortly after acquiring the BlazBlue one, and I hadn't gotten around to buying Gears of War 2.

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Morgan Ironwolf is supposedly of the female persuasion... I know it does not appear that way in the Paizo Publishing/Wizards of the Coast Dragon #342 art, but apparently so... maybe she was subject to the effect of the Girdle of Masculinity/Femininity, it is not clear, but this was her back in 1981:

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Uh... seriously? That guy you posted earlier? Very clearly male. I don't see how that would be the Morgan you posted just now....
Perhaps they simply reused the name, since it's a rather good name? Otherwise... someone at WotC needs to learn to edit (actually, everyone there needs to learn to edit).

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
The article is hard to find on the site, but I checked my printed copy of epic destinies- the pic for the Artifact Lord looks like a dwarf with a sphere of annihilation at his fingers- maybe I didn't print all the pics in the article?

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Well, many things are possible in D&D, but as far as I am aware that Dragon article was supposedly an "updating" of Morgan Ironwolf, though I have not read the article myself, so can neither confirm nor deny the rumour. Somebody here probably has the issue and can say yay or nay, though.

in the Dragon 342 article: Advanced Adventurer section, it doesn't say what gender Morgan Ironwolf is, just "Human"

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Looking into it, #342 is an April issue; no doubt a joke, given that the character has "all 18s" and is made up of about ten classes; plus, on the next page we see a homage to the original PHB cover.

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
I am slightly impressed. I didn't imagined she actually did fantasy art. I thought she was mostly inclined to epochal art. Perhaps I should do more than base my opinion on a single webcomic...

Re: Dungeons and dames. vixens of tabletops
Yeah, Dreamless is definitely in a realistic art style. It's the only one, though, as far as I'm concerned.
The Phoenix Requiem deals with spirits and magic and ghosts. It's not as artistic as Dreamless, but still stunning... and it updates 4-5 pages a week
The older, Inverloch (ended), is definitely fantasy.
Edit: Sorry about thread derail. I will find a penance pic later (after food).
Edit 2:
Let's go with a bit of Gisèle Lagacé (who usually doesn't do fantasy, but I managed to find this):

But swords are fun anyway. Here's that video of Florentine fencing I promised: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AseqZulqrEA Wish I could have gotten some female fencers doing that to keep in the theme of the thread, but I took what I could get.
