• Everyone is welcome. Let's try to keep from seeming otherwise.
• Keep this topic free of politics and religion. (so, don't violate the board rules, plz)
• It's beyond the scope of this thread to discuss whether LGBT is "Right." (And really, most discussions probably should avoid moralizing too much anyway)
• Please refrain from posting sexually explicit content. (Keep it friendly as well as board safe )

As far as what I was talking about last thread: It looks like S and P are in one of those "well we're not actually having sex so it's ok" relationship things. And they told me I'm too young to know what I'm talking about. It is *quite* possible to cheat without having sex.

As a sort of update for my situation; I haven't talked to my teacher in any way about what has been going on, but that is mostly because I am still trying to get my grade up in that class (freakin A- ).

I have come out to a slurry of people in the past weeks though. One of my friends, whose birthday was last week, had a sleep over that I went to. Most of the people were either LGBT (only two people were straight; the birthday girl, and our mutual friend), or in theater, so we had some fun times.

I am going to my school's LGBT meetings next week. Is there anything that you are usually supposed to do at such meetings? I assume from what people have told me that it is essentially a support group, but I was wondering.

Also; at said friends sleepover, I watched But I'm a Cheerleader. Has anyone else seen it, or had any experiences like it? I personally thought it was amazing, and I was practically in tears by the end. Are there any other good LGBT themed or related movies that anyone recommends?

Yeah, don't argue with fools, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Though considering all of this new information and the background info you shared, it's surprising you care to inquire after either of them.

Basic summary: P is an idiot and a user. S is letting her emotions blind her into a bad relationship.

The thing is, S has *never* spoken to me like this before. This was just so out of the blue. Normally she's a very caring supportive person that I've felt safe taking issues to. Yesterday was just so out of character for her.

I had the impression they were only a few years older.
So, they are not totally ridiculous when they say this.

But that still stupid.

Not to mention that, being apparently in love with an idiot who is not her husband, being offensive to a friend because of this, and trying to convince you or more probably herself that she's not cheating since there is no sex; S is the one who act immature IMHO.

To my mind, being in love with someone else without having sex is more a cheating that having sex with someone else without caring for this someone.
She should be able to understand this if she's so mature.

Hmmf, i'm maybe too agressive here, but i really dislike this kind of "you're too young to understand / know" behaviour. Even more since IME, people who use this kind of argument have no better argument generally, and are often not that mature themselves.

It's a gaming group. There's a pretty wide age spread. There's just so many alarm bells going off here...the guy is trouble, I guarantee it. Lots of little things, he just has no respect or empathy for anyone who's different from him. Usually while loudly proclaiming how much respect he has...

I just find that statement ironic. I may not have as much life experience...but I can spot someone who's trouble.

My father is exactly like this. And yes, my brother and me, we understand so many thing he don't, because he just don't want to.
Your friend S should really not fall for him.

Understanding is not clearly related to experience. Nor really is maturity.
You should really not give a gorram about their "you're too young" point.
