Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
Wizards WW has ended in a Gray Mage victory.
Plus some townies survived, so town wins too I guess.

Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
So how often is it socially acceptable to beg for players? Cuz my game could really use a couple more so I don't have worrisome wolf team sizes.

Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
It's acceptable, I've done it a few times when the signups could use a little bump. PMing people who are known to play WW's but haven't signed up yet can be a good move, in case they haven't noticed your game yet. The chances are that they have, and are either at their maximum game quota or confuzzled by the rules, but there will be some who decide to sign up. Best not to approach it from the begging angle though, more like This-is-my-first-WW-game-and-if-you're-interested-it'd-be-great-to-have-you-playing kind of approach.

Yeah, it probably won't end up officially starting up till around next Monday the way things look I'd say. I'll declare recruiting over and send out pms on Friday and have day 1 start on Monday.

Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
Well with me it's just being on holiday and pouring all my attention into AC. Havn't looked at the new games for weeks so PMing me was a good move. Got the time just hadn't been looking for games
Personally I never mind getting a PM even if I'm unavailable I can just politely refuse.

Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
could still use a few players to make the math divide more evenly. Between 2 and 6 would be ideal, but I'm willing to run with even more if more players decide to join the ... festivities.
Note: The game will run with all roles currently - there is no danger of it not running. Just plugging away for a few more entrants.
Recruitment will officially end when I get in late Friday/early Saturday. At which point I'll start banging out the role PMs.Last edited by Helgraf; 2011-08-23 at 06:36 PM.

I believe Camp Sleeps-a-lot II had something like 62 starters. I'm not 100% certain about the number, though, or if it's actually the largest game started here.

Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
WW games were MUCH more popular at the time of both of those games. Most of the participants in those games don't even play anymore, or rarely.
EDIT: Also, those were for two well established narrators.Last edited by Zeb The Troll; 2011-08-23 at 11:57 PM.

Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
Yeah, all games were bigger back then, there were just more players about. It's weird goign back and looking at old games from when I first started and seeing all the people who've disappeared or just don't play anymore.
The big popular games still get the player numbers though, WW Classic and Mafia being good examples. And things do seem to be getting better, I've seen quite a few new players over the last couple of months.
Yay for participation!

I want to do a complex game. But, I know I wouldn't get enough plays. I would need somewhere around 50 players...

I am -extremely- likely to lose power or worse as a result of Hurricane Irene, which is going to blow right by/over where I live based on current projections (Coastal NJ).
While I'm pretty sure I'm dead in all the WW games I was playing, this does mean that Vampire will very very likely be delayed until I have power again.Catatar made for me many years ago ... pretty sure by banjo1985

Recruitment for Vampire V: Paris by Night is now closed.
Role PM distribution will begin shortly.
Game start is tentative Monday - but this presumes I have power and internet access; which cannot be guaranteed with the current hurricane situation.Catatar made for me many years ago ... pretty sure by banjo1985

Re: WW Central VII: Important WW information goes here - READ OPENING POSTS!
Due to the highly likely power disruption that Irene will cause as she passes through my area, I have submitted the Vampire V: Paris by Night game thread early. The game will begin as soon as the mods approve the thread, and Day 1 will last 48-ish hours (subject to extension as need be due to weather).
