Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
I must say, the match between zak and I was completely awesome and fun for me. Probably not from the obs though, bet they were pulling there hair out at our stupidity. So nice to play with someone around my skill. At least I learned a new little trick. You'll all see it in due time.

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
Ooooh, Zak is back!
Yeah, Team Melee is fun, though I still prefer standard melee (at least as long as small teams or 1v1s are concerned).
As for Team Micro Melee, Cynan... the last time I played it, it was the macro-er who macroed so well he destroyed everything the other side threw at him and overran the defences with myriads of goons...LGBTitP Supporter

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
Well, I think there is a small gap where if the macroer did much better than the other macroer he can make a difference, but if microers don't loose time early, once they start to get to tier 4 or something, the macroer cannot do much anymore <<

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
Even though I didn't get to play any team micro melee at all, the last session was awesome. I played more Melees than in the last 7 months or so combined, and actually won a couple. And then Cynan thrashed me, Rigel and Zak in a 3-1 Team Melee, and again me and Zak in a 2-1 TM.
And I did this horrible cannon cheese in an 1-1.
I'm sure the people watching were laughing their asses off at my stupidity but it was fun.

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
Yeah, that session was fun (and, for once, did not end in a series of frustrating and humiliating defeats for me ). Especially that team melee of Tan and me against Cynan and Murska was quite satisfying (even though our side managed to fail at macro worse than a quadriplegic hippo two thousand feet above the Grand Canyon fails at surviving )

Question: EPicwar is used to download maps for warcraft, but what sites are there for starcraft custom maps and campaigns?

I do not know any such sites personally, but Krade posted this link earlier in this thread, and the selection seems to be fairly huge.

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
At least his profile says so.
Anyway, tomorrow is our next session. I'll have to see yet if it collides with a roleplaying session for me or not; if it doesn't, I'll certainly be there, otherwise there might be... complications.
Which is not to say you are not meant to come all anyway!LGBTitP Supporter

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
I won't be on today until after 6:30 est. I convinced a friend of mine to come today, but I haven't had a chance to get in touch with him and tell him that I won't be on until later (apparently he's still asleep). If any of you see someone by the name of Aramil, Aramil_Liadon, or Woodwings, would you let him know for me? Thanks.

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
Sure thing, will do. Does he know where to find us? (He? There is a GitP user of this name, but she seems to be female) Maybe you should tell him we will be either in channel op GitP or channel GitP, just to make sure he doesn't miss us.

Yeah, I told him it was op GitP for the channel. The Aramil Liadon on these forums is his account, it's just that he probably hasn't logged in since he took part in gender-bender week. >.<

Sad to hear that, Zak. I think it might be better to get an X-ray after all. Better to be safe than sorry.

Greetings, three08, welcome to the group.
Reminder: Tomorrow is our next StarCraft session. I hope to see you all.

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
So, as some of you already know, there is a Starcraft ITP contest going on in the Structured Games subforum. People who want to try and run for a category may go ahead, and I'll of course be grateful for any votes pointed at my direction once the voting threads go up.

Re: GitP StarCraft 1 group
The nominations thread is up so you can go nominate me, Cynan, Baneling and, well, everyone else there. We have what, 3 candidates for every category and the rules say you have to nominate 3(remember to read the rules) so it should work out fine.
