Pika pika, pikachu?
Squirtle Squirtle.
Pika pikachu.
STOP THIS RIGHT NOW, I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF ALL THE PIKA PIKA SQUIRTLE!
You better stop, otherwise they'll release the gas.
That was one of the deleted scenes from pokemon the movie.
It's wit.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
Yeah, but the contests in the cartoon are a lot better than the ones in the game. But the game's combat is much better, as in, monsters with more experience have the advantage. Unlike Ash's l.v 100 Pikachu getting whooped by the l.v 14 Rampardos that the first gym leader has in Diamond and Pearl. That makes no sense, even not very effective moves would still one hit K.O Rampardos with that many levels between them. An 86 level difference is quite immense! The only things that wouldn't work are Pikachu's electric moves.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
Techically Pikachu was K.O.'d by an Onix that used screech, an attacks that does 0 hp worth of damage. The Crainiados also cheated as mold breaker does not negate static. I'm pretty sure that if someone confiscated a pokemon that broke the game's rules of combat, about 99.999% of the characters in the show would not have any pokemon.

As far as stop-animation goes: well, that reached its apex with The Nightmare Before Christmas.
As far as pokemon...yeah, I don't know jack about pokemon.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
What's this? Have we stumped the mighty Rutskarn in random banter? Eegads!
(Couldn't resist)
Yeah, Pikachu, despite his massive amounts of experience and training, still gets his butt handed to him almost every episode.
Also, Ash is an idiot, he has a Charizard! Yet he leaves it in a place where it is of no use. He released his Pidgeot and his Butterfree, who were undoubtedly two of his strongest Pokemon ever. Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
You didn't write back so I removed your word quota for the next year.
From now on the only words you'll ever see are gonna be in The Sun. And you'll find it enjoying, funny and intellectually challenging!
Why did I do it?
Because I am evil.
Maybe also because one of our downstairs rooms now has only two walls and to walk down the stairs one has to do either the half - splits or do a Spiderman and clamber down a wall.
I haven't done that in years. Sibling though? I think they're animals.
Also: my sister went to a professional choir workshop. She's becoming a mini - Thufir. She also loves math and has been slowly stealing all my Gilbert and Sullivan songs from YouTube.
This is worrying.
Bathatar!
Squid bones are lies.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
He was still an idiot, just an idiot with a computer-thing.
Kanto: The original is often always the best. Simply cool.
Johto: Not quite as good as Kanto.
Hoen: Almost as good as Kanto (Ruby/Sapphire). Brock is back, Yay!
Battle Frontier: Not bad, almost as good as Hoen (Emerald)
Diamond/Pearl: Dawn is another idiot. Brock is still here, Yay! Almost as good as Hoen. This avatar pierces the heavens and is by Miss Nobody!SpoilerOriginally Posted by Anuan

Eh, not quite. I believe it should be:
"Alas, poor Yorick. I knew him, Horatio."
But that's only if you're being anal about it.

Yeah, same for me. Though I still had to laugh when you were cut off mid-sentence by that stupid guy with the red hair. way to get around the anti-rickroll rules.
Also: I've decided I'm going to read Twilight so I can make a convincing argument as to why it's not worth my time. I'm seven pages in and I'm afraid my eyeballs might start bleeding.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
You are a great man, Jack. A great man.
I think that has to do with the fact that it's copyrighted material. YouTube told me to review that video for copyright infringement, and when I got to the review page, it told me "this material is owned by Rick Astley, blah blah blah," and then under the "What should I do?" section it said "Nothing, but an ad may appear next to the video."
In conclusion: blast those watchful YouTube rapscallions! Curses, Baron Von Sneak is foiled again!
Oh, and the drink is some smoothie I found in the fridge that I thought was a decent color for my purposes.
@DragonRider: If your eyeballs start bleeding, go watch some Arrested Development, or maybe google the work of Milton Glaser. That should fix it.
Good luck, by the way. I hope nothing bad happens to you...Last edited by Sneak; 2009-03-28 at 11:42 PM.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
I say prescience, cuz it sounds cooler.
Also, my avatar was unintentional as well. YouTube made that my avatar, and when I tried to change it it said I couldn't change it until I had been a member for 48 hours. :/
@Twilight: I haven't read it, but you have to wonder...what makes a book like that become such a phenomenon? How was it "discovered," so to speak? From what I've heard, it was just some random book by some random Mormon (?) lady. Why did this trash vampire romance novel get so much more popular than any other?
I mean, there are presumably some good trashy vampire romance novels out there.Last edited by Sneak; 2009-03-28 at 11:52 PM.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
I don't know. But I do know that she got a $750,000 ADVANCE. And she writes like I did when I was twelve. I suppose it must be compelling - I'm still only 13 pages in, so I don't know yet - but the WRITING. She needed a decent EDITOR. I've already found a"who/whom" misusage and a ton of preposition failures.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
Well, if it gets too bad, just watch Ninjamuffin make fun of it.
I mean, there are presumably some good trashy vampire romance novels out there
I think the popularity is partly because of it getting attention for being so hateable. And for being sort of a wish fulfillment story. The writing is pretty terrible. I would describe the attraction as like watching a train wreck. It's awful, but you just can't look away.
In other news, I have been listening to this song over and over. Is it just me, or are the voices creepy, especially the 4, 3, 2, 1... part?

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
I wasn't going to read that book, but I can now add this to my list of reasons why.
I've been reading a few Michael Crichton novels lately. They're really good, except the endings are not. I've only finished one, I admit, but I asked my friend who's read about a half-dozen, and he confirms that the endings are mostly quite poor. I love the books in general, but they always seem to have disappointed endings.
Adromeda Strain Spoilers:
SpoilerThe ending was not very satisfying at all. The threat was gone, sure, but it's not like the Wildfire team actually fixed anything. It was end-of-the-world talk for a little while, then they finally figure out what's going on, and then suddenly the problem has fixed itself. They weren't needed to do anything, and in fact they almost made it so much worse.
I'm not quite sure where I was going with this, but...that's what I think.
