Alek, being the nice guy that he is, fuels Melody's new mind with psionic power, to fatten it up, and squish the old mind out, while making the new one flourish - and, of course, to combat Raven's clan-jazz.

Turtle, he seems like a nice man. How is he evil?

He doesn't believe in absolute good or evil. He believes only in what is good or bad for the clan. The clan is everything. Nothing else matters. It's the way I was raised. It's what I always believed before I learned differently.

Raven attempts to create a physical shield around Melody's mind to prevent Alek from doing anything more.

Melody will fight with all she has. But in the end, she's just too weakened. Even the support of the clan mark only helps to keep her mind, there, but not in control.

Meow!! *Hisssssss!!*

The shield could be an issue, in fact, all it would do is trap some of Alek's angry telepathic self in there, where he continues to stroke, nurture, and love the kitten, while he attacks, abuses, and weakens the old one.

The cyborg plug himself into an AM radio receiver.

But being cut off from its host, it should soon weaken. Or at least Raven hopes so. Especially when he starts attacking the Alek-fragment.

Melody starts meowing in the infirmary. She gets up, and crawling on all fours, goes to the kitchen, looking for milk.

Actually, the Alek fragment's kinda sitting there feeding off all the pain and suffering of screwed up, unhappy, kid, smurf Melody. He floats about, all round Melody's mind, allowing Raven to strike at him, and at the ambient scenery of the old fragments of Melody's mind, careful not to let him near the cat's part.

There's milk in the kitchen.

Raven puts out a telepathic call for help.

He's not a very strong telepath, so whether Darkcomet or Beit or any other character with psychic abilities can hear him is up to their players.

He is kind of preoccupied.

Butler sees the Melody heading towards the kitchen on all fours. "Can I help you with anything, ma'am?"

Because you weren't in the clan. So it didn't matter when I tried to manipulate you for my own entertainment. That's what I really believed back then, Nil.

Alek, for funsies, gives the kitty-Melody some base powers of speech. And tells it its name is Huggles.

Meow. Huggles want Milk. She seems confused, for a second, then begins purrrrring. Milk and fishies. She smiles up at the strange man.

Dr. Beit appears in the infirmary. He's wearing orange swim shorts and a bermuda shirt. Hmmmm. Could have sworn I heard a call for help from here.

Scary. Could your Uncle be redeemed?

[Kaelaroth]

Good girl Huggles. Now, I'm your owner/father/lover. Alek's voice repeats, over and over again, a droning repeat, quiet, in the back of Huggles' subconscious, letting her get used to his mental signature, voice, and smell.

Raven, who is physically inside Melody kitty's head, is still calling for help.

Butler looks a little confused at the cat-smurf, but he's a cat-boy, so he doesn't have anything to complain about. "As you wish ma'am." He nods and heads into the kitchen to prepare some milk in a saucer and tuna.

I hope so to happy. At least I'm back for good now.

Melody happily follows.

Dr. Beit finds Melody. Administers a physical drug to her, and takes her back to the infirmary. Um, forget the milk and tuna, for now. Thanks.

Once in the infirmary. He enters her mind. Hello, Peter.

Alek, a kindly gentleman, erects powerful psionic wards around each mind in Melody's head. Designed to trap Beit and Raven in tiny Melody-mind bubbles, lock and bury the battered original Melody, and give the Huggles identity new strength.

And, actually, to give it extra power: He gives it a soul, transferring one of his wasted child-souls, into the Huggle persona. Which should make it far, far stronger, no?
