GLoG XIV: Where Bad Puns Go To Die.

The drone beeps in alarm, not wanting to get to close, as it's one of the ones who runs off magic.

Libulel shrugs. Well. You're giving off something called anti-magic, which I guess means that magical healing won't work on you anyway. So, I'm sorry, but I think it might have to be time. He pauses, and realises he was just speaking in English, and so repeats himself in Draconic. And, well. I'm sorry for just taking you like that - d'you want me to take you somewhere?

Turtle's life force seems to be fading.

Raven comes into the infirmary to check on his niece. Knowing that Libulel is frightened of him, he tries not to say or do anything to upset him.

((How obvious is the injured place? Would it be visible to someone who was just walking past Zoe's examination table?))

[Mee]

Zoe sighs.
"Time it is.
Um . . . we could stay here?
You could show me around?"

And, just so no one worries, the anti-magic field extends . . . about half an inch past her.
So you'd have to get really close to be affected.

((As for Zoe's injury, (I assume you're talking about that) yes, it would be noticeable to someone walking past.
Here, and, if you didn't see/are curious:

There's about a 1 inch square of crush/broken/mangled scales on the middle of her right side. Where a chair leg was thrown at her.
She also gives off a very faint magical aura. Not much, but it's there.

V.I.N.C.E. heads to the infirmary, needs to restock on healing potion, while there, he rolls up next to Fan and beeps.

Libulel nods. Right. OK. Where do you live, anyway? Here? Are you a new member? He starts to carry the little dragon out the room, to show her the great room, taking note of the piano, kitchen, sofas, etc.

Raven looks at Zoe, then at Libulel. "May I take a look at your friend's injury?"

When Fan sends holy energy through the psychic link, Turtle's heart rate and blood pressure go up, and her breathing increases. He can feel psychically that something is happening.

The drone says time's the only way to help her. And she's immune to magic. Libulel says, stopping, but not getting anywhere near Raven.

[Mee]

Libulel nods. Right. OK. Where do you live, anyway? Here? Are you a new member? He starts to carry the little dragon out the room, to show her the great room, taking note of the piano, kitchen, sofas, etc.

"I was in the taverna. Then was carried here.
So . . . right now, I don't really have a home . . .
I'll stay here if you think I should . . ."
She looks at Raven.

Fan looksu p at vince for a second expecting some sort of response, and if that doesn't come he will continue sending holy energy through the link... All he has for today in fact.

Well, you can stay here, if you'd like. It's normally safe, and there are holy people here. But, then, there are some nastier people here, and there doesn't seem to be any way to get rid of them. But, I could try and look after you, if you wanted to stay here? Or, if you're way older than you look, and I'm massively insulting you, you could look after yourself, here? Or, you know, I could try and take you home. He, biting his lip, after saying that, helps Zoe stand on the floor, and says to her This man wants to take a look at you. He repeats it in English, for Raven's sake.

Turtle goes into a seizure, but through the mental link, Fan can feel that she's stronger.

And so returns the Great and Powerful Narrator to Narrate the misadventures of Laraek! The frosty undead has been following a certain assassin cat around the GLoG base, generally being curious about all the various whats-its and doo-hickies that the compound contains. In his usual fashion he'll quietly introduce himself to anyone that asks and state that he's just visiting on account of the people at the Taverna being insane. And violent. And generally confusing him.

And so without further adue!

I'm not exactly sure how it happened. Reinholdt must have turned one corner and I turned another. But I can't find him now. And- now I'm feeling distinctly uncomfortable. I don't want to be wandering around here by myself. Especially since I don't know anyone. Especially since I don't exactly belong in a place like this.

Too true. Laraek is evil. Extremely evil. So says any alignment scan that manages to get a reading on him without shorting out due to overload. Though one wouldn't suspect it from the way the undead acts. So now he's meandering about the halls. Is there any telling what he'll run into? Or who? Stay tuned to find out!

Now, he's the evil guy who lives here, and I can't get him out of here. And, well, no-one listens to me, and I'm only letting him near you because if I get on his wrong side I think he'll kill me, or us. Sorry.

Fan grips Happy's hand tears streaming down his face as he utters a hundred prayers of obvious source as he continues to pur more, and more energy into the link. Not enough to overload her, but its still quite abit.
"No thank you V.I.N.C.E I have things under control."

Yes sir!
I'll stand by in case a need arises, is that alright?

"Its fine V.I.N.C.E. I'll need the help is things worsen."

And sadly Zoe's player must deadtime.
So she can be examined.
It's her scales that are doing that anti-magic, and the field extends all of half an inch from her.
Yeah, and somehow it affects her wings too. I just . . . haven't figured out how yet . . . >.>

Raven sees his niece having a seizure and races over, forgetting all about the dragon. He stands behind her head, grabbing her shoulders, and pouring his own healing energy into her. Which, incidentally, not being of divine origin, has no effect on the undead infection, but he would have tried anyway.

Fan's healing does a lot more, and slowly, Turtle calms, her vital signs growing stronger. She opens her eyes.

[Kaelaroth]

Zoe is taken away by Libulel whose shortly arrested by his own deadtime.

[Fan]

"Oh, thank Nerian your all right Happy. I'm, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so SORRY Happy."

[Quinsar]

V.I.N.C.E. stands by.

Raven smiles, but also rolls his eyes.

I know you didn't mean to. She squeezes his hand, but doesn't try to speak. Still too weak probably.

And so with no one pestering the uttercold abomination about poking around he seems to have managed to bumble into the rose garden. Each foot-step leaves creeping, crackling patches of silvery frost that seem uncannily stubborn about melting. And so far he's making an effort not to touch any of the flowers. Laraek knows better than that. He accidentally froze a puppy once.

This is nice.

Peaceful.

The hunger isn't very bad yet. Just a dull ache. I had gorged myself after I woke up so- I think I should be alright. For a little while at least. I hope they don't mind me being in their garden. So long as I stay on the path it should be alright. Won't kill anything that way.

Mint is passed out in the rose garden...

Fanboy feeds the small amount of holy energy he has left into the link as he speaks.
"Of course I didn't, but seeing you like this, and knowing it was my fault.. I just can't believe that I would ever hurt you likie this. I just want you to be safe, and happy, and when i can't even protect you from myself."
Still sending healing enrgy Fan begins to cry again.
