Sheriff of Moddingham: This and similar threads have proven to stray repeatedly into Inappropriate Topics, sometimes egregiously so. In addition, trying to keep them active and free of rule violations has proven: 1) to require extreme amounts of moderator time and 2) ineffective at changing the culture or content of these threads.

I have tried to moderate carefully and thoughtfully and to nudge the thread and participants lightly. I have also given at least one of these threads a final warning to avoid further Forum Rules violations (and straying off-topic) or be permanently locked. Neither approach has proven successful.

After consultation with the other moderators and The Giant, we have decided we cannot continue to host threads that so frequently contain such seriously inappropriate material and require such constant moderation.

This is a final warning to all such threads, including all shipping, fanservice, crack pairing, and similar threads. Any further violations will result in the closure of all such threads. If these threads can stay on topic and within the Forum Rules great. If not, their content will need to be taken anywhere.

Some notes:

If said missing fics are in thread X, their absence can be accounted for by the fact that I haven't archived anything from thread X yet.

Otherwise, I may have simply missed them when archiving the previous threads. It happens from time to time. Note that I'm especially likely to miss any ships that aren't spoiler'd as I completely ignore the vast majority of the random jabber in the thread(s) while doing archive updates, focusing on hunting for spoiler boxes. If your fic isn't in a spoiler, there's a good chance it won't be archived.

As my available time online has been drastically reduced in recent months, I could use a little assistance in maintaining the archive. If either of you would like to assemble a list of links to the missing fics and PM them to me, I'd very much appreciate it and will include them in the archive ASAP. Otherwise, I honestly don't have the time to trawl through the previous threads hunting for them. Sorry...

Sheriff of Moddingham: Given the recent story in Crack Pairings involving sexual contact between minors and family members this thread and the others like it will now be closed.

It is with considerable disappointment that I am compelled to follow through on the earlier ruling and close this and similar threads.

Please avoid blaming or recriminations against the poster or thread that was the final straw. All the effected threads played some role in reaching this result.

Please do not restart this or similar threads.

Disagreement with this decision, just as with any moderator decision should be taken up with me privately, and appealed, if necessary, to The Giant.
