The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
All below material (except where otherwise noted), including comics, characters, and maps is the creative property of Beholder1995.
Herein lies the tale of Philmoore and Frederick, two Teutonic Knights on a quest to find their lost brethren. I lack any computer art equipment of any kind, so these comics are ones that I've hand-drawn and scanned. I apologize for illegible and/or crude handwriting or any kind of mistakes or blemishes in the art. If there's a problem, or you have a comment, well- that's why there's a thread.
Updates are kind of sporadic... aiming for at least once a week... you can expect more due to their small sizes, but don't get your hopes up.

Philmoore & Yo-Yo animation made by Tiffanie Lirle. Meh. She was bored.
I found this deep within the bowels of my Art Folder. This is essentially a primordial precursor to what would become The Two Brothers. It was originally intended to be a spoof of Age of Empires II (if you haven't played the game to a great extent, this comic will be utterly lost on you.) I made this one a while ago, but never followed up on it. Anyway, I thought I'd show it here. Behold!Spoiler

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
I like your art style, it's simple, but as Oots has proved simple can be a good thing. It's quite a nice change from all the Oots style comics popping up as of late as well.
So, is this going to be set in the "real world"? They are Teutonic knights after all. Or is gonna be set in a fantasy world of some sort?Last edited by Tiffanie Lirle; 2008-06-06 at 02:25 PM.

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
Well, they are Teutonic Knights, but other than that, it will be in a world I designed. In my world, the Teutonic Knights have traditionally guarded the neck of land between the north and south halves of the map. While it will be in a fantasy world, there will be little or no magic, and thus this won't be D&D oriented. EDIT: Also, they will have generaly Germanic sounding names, whether I make them up or not.
Glad you liked it! I was really nervous there...

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
Strong follow up and the comic looks good, the comedies awkward for the characters which is good but I wouldn't overuse it. One complaint though, the text is a bit cramped and stuff, are you doing it by hand?

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
It's only a slight issue, if you find it hard to write so small you could add the text after you've scanned it(And it'd be a lot better quality text) but it's not an obligation, it's great quality as is.

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
Also- I'd like to put the banners up (and, of course I will), but how do you get them to link to this thread?
EDIT::: I think there's something wrong with the Castle banner- Philmoore's cape is green again.

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
I don't know. The direct links to the images are
- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../brothers1.jpg
- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../brothers2.jpg
- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../brothers3.jpg
- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../brothers4.jpg
If that's what you're looking for.
It's definately not, but since I replaced the old image with the new one, you might still have the old image cached. Try reloading the page (f5).
Also, promising sentence indeed, nice :)Last edited by Han; 2008-06-07 at 04:13 PM.

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
I like simple black and white comic's. I will have to add this to the (fictional) list of web-comics threads I frequent.
However, there is no way to identify which character is which. That could become confusing.Last edited by T-O-E; 2008-06-07 at 04:55 PM.

Re: The Two Brothers: A non-OotS style webcomic
I like this. Do keep it up.
Each individual strips are rather short though. Nothing wrong with that, but it might be a little hard to manage on a forum if it manages to accumulate a sizable amount of strips.
