GLoG 19: For those who can't make it over the rainbow

Well, looking into others minds is considered intruding by many. Greg says, as someone else comes into the room. He hears something about her wanting to look at the database, sighs, and breaks off the communication with this:
Sorry, I'll be right back. He walks over to the lady, and starts to speak:
"This will go alot quicker for you if you let someone peer into your mind so that we can figure out why you're here."

Dani wakes up in the kitchen and, thinking she hears Turtle, heads off to investigate...

Johnny strolls into the greatroom whistling a merry tune.

Dani will find Turtle in the security room, looking like she's recently been crying.

[Kaelaroth]

Vorka, undeadtiming, does find Turtle, and walks over to her, concerned, his book tucked under one arm. What's wrong?

Dani nods to Vorka before dropping down to sit next to Turtle.
It's good to see you back...whats the matter?

"My uncle... he went to fight the lich." Turtle says, forcing a smile.

Dani goes to give her a hug, and tries to sound reassuring.
He'll be alright. He's tough!

Then he has done something truly holy. Vorka says, simply, seemingly about to say more - interrupted, however, by a drone, which floats inside.
Statement: Master Czernov has been warmed and fed and checled medically, as per member request.

Turtle looks up. O.O

"Czernov?! But... he's... where is he?"

Dani looks rather startled as well.
I thought he was dead!

[Kaelaroth]

Statement: Master Czernov is in the infirmary, as requested by Ms. Elliott. The drone says, all calm. Silly humans and their emotional responses to things.

Turtle rushes to the infirmary.

Dani teleports, probably beating her there.

Czernov's just waking up, a bit groggy from the amount of sedatives and vitamins that have just been pumped through his system as part of his check-up. Also, to verify, a mental scan indicates a lack of telepathic ability, hopefully showing he isn't Alek.

Johnny gets up.
What's all the commotion about? Why am I talking to myself? Note to self, see a shrink and get this "talking to myself" thing cleared up.
He walks to the infirmary, with not the slightest clue of what's going on.

Dani now pauses to breathe...

Weiß ich, einer von Ihnen? Czernov asks, rather confused, dragging up the sheet of his bed around his naked, muscular form, as the girl and young boy he doesn't remember meeting start talking.

Turtle takes Czernov's hands and doesn't speak, just looking him over and blinking back tears. Finally, something good has happened, and she doesn't know how to respond.

(Being no longer a divine champion, she can't sense his soul.)

[Kaelaroth]

Schildkröte? Warum sind Sie weinen? Seriously, how long have I been dead? Czernov asks, breaking into English as the fierce barbarian starts to blub.

[The Bushranger]

You died, a coupla months ago, Alek killed you...
Dani smiles broadly.
It's good to have you back!!

Who is Alek? Czernov asks. Very confused. And where is Randy?

I'm Johnny sir, nice to meet you by the way.
Johnny smiles.
Well, I always knew it was possible but I'd never of thought I'd see someone come back from the dead. he thinks in his head.

[Kaelaroth]

Czernov nods faintly to Johnny, but is trying to remember if he knows him. And failing, of course.

Don't worry sir, I'm just as confused as you are.
Johnny has a rather confused look on his face. What's more confusing to him is that he doesn't know why he's confused.

As you said that in italics, I can only assume you were only thinking it. Or were saying it telepathically. Either way, Czernov's going to have trouble hearing it, having an awful brain for psionics (in sheer contrast to his alternate).

(Yep, I was thinking it. As far as I'm concerned, Italics means my thoughts.)

Turtle gives him his date of death, and tells him who Alek is and how Alek killed him.

"The last time I saw Randy, he was off hunting for Alek to make him pay. He probably doesn't know that Alek's been killed since then."

[Kaelaroth]

Czernov looks confused. But I don't even remember that late. I was sure I'd been killed far before that, by a man named George. He's one of the most prominent figures in my memory, along with Randy, of course. He shrugs, slightly. And Alek is who? A psychic, yes, but.. why me?
