Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Teebeay glances into the room. "Well, I suppose that takes care of that. Rats or traps it is." He does take a second look, though. "Strange, I wonder how the grass got in here?"

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
A closer inspection shows that some clumps of the grass look to be woven. Perhaps mats, for sleeping or resting?

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Base looks for any other exits from this room. Any other doors or such?

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Kallond looks around the relatively empty room with growing dismay.
"So . . . looks like this is a dead end. My vote is the trap - at least we have a chance of dealing with that without the risk of injury. Unless anyone has a better idea? Our options seem to be dwindling rapidly."I didn't actually intend to kill EVERYONE. It just sort of happened.

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
At a glance, there does not appear to be any doors readily apparent looking into the room. However it is a rather large room and begins to get shadowy near the end, you may have to step inside and look around before being 100% sure.

With an expectant sigh, Teebeay heads into the room. "I'll check out the far end, to make sure. That should set off whatever trap is in here." He walks to the end, looks around and returns, unless/until something prevents him.

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
As Teebeay enters the room, the concentration of the horrible musky smell increases, and though he tries to keep it in, still feeling a little weak from the mold earlier, Teebeay loses his lunch all over the floor of the room. Looking down at the ground though, he notices that occasionally there are spots and flecks of blood on the ground or the grass mats. He also doesn't see any doors in the room.

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Wiping his mouth, Teebeay makes his way out of the room. "Ugh, the smell... There's blood on the mats, though. Feh, this place sucks." He works hard to keep from throwing up again.

The warforged will enter the room to help search. "You appear inconvenience by the apparent stench. Base will assist in the reconnaisance to reduce the search time." Base walks in, unconcerned about breathing, and will check out the mats and look for doors.

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Well, Base. If your metallic eyes can glean no proper egress here, I humbly suggest that we cast ballots for either the suspicious trap or the rat-infested corridor. Since there are six of us, we'll have to be wary of a tie. I shall deliberately abstain from the voting process in order to be a neutral arbiter. In fact, unless it's a dispute in which I have a specific interest or one that affects me directly rather than simply the general well-being of the group, I will gladly serve as impartial judge for any conflicts and disagreements that arise. I believe that the six of us are independent and confident enough to simply state our opinions bluntly, but should we need to develop a blind election, I shall devise a method at once. In the meantime, I suggest we stay far away from this festering miasma and perhaps formulate a proper course of action. Base, of course, is excepted in his efforts to devise the true character of the chamber. Still. I have a nagging feeling at the base of my skull that we're going to end up braving some sort of peril, and it simply doesn't behoove an adventurer of my status to keep running away. I shall have to consider hiding as a secondary option.

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Teebeay moves a ways from the door, and sits. "It's a tough call, but I think the trap should be our first stop. At the least, we can try a few basic, low risk tricks to bypass it before we have to move to more dangerous options. Unless one of us has a lot of oil, I don't see any low risk ways of dealing with the rats. If those low risk methods fail, we can make a new choice then."

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Base's search of the foul and trashed room reveals little besides more litter. The walls all appear to be solid and aside from blood and grass mats mostly torn into pieces, he finds no items inside either.

Base returns from his search of the room. "This room contains nothing of interest for now. Base suggests trying the trapped door. Shall Base be the one to approach it?"

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Well, my metallic companion, if you care to find yourself on the wrong end of a potential trap, be my guest. My own inkling is to head towards the rat-infested door. At least we know what we're dealing with there. But as I said, my vote is null. I await the consensus of the group.

"There are a lot of rats, killing them one at a time could take a long time. On the other hand, we could probably skewer and smash a lot more than one at a time, so perhaps it could work. I'd rather just burn the lot, though."

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Kallond shakes his head. "I do not understand everyone's fear of this trap. Someone put it there, which means they had a way of avoiding it or setting it off harmlessly. It is also completely mindless and reactionary - it cannot give chase should we need to flee. Furthermore, a trap suggests a trap-maker, and we are looking for an intelligent spellcaster."
Kallond waves his hand back towards the door with the rats. "But whatever. Any action at this point is better than nothing. Just don't say I didn't warn you if any wounds these rats inflict become infected . . ."
A thought occuring to him, Kallond turns towards Base. "Creatures such as yourself cannot become sick, can they? And the rats probably wouldn't be interested in eating a man made of metal. Perhaps we should simply send Base in alone and hold the door shut behind him?"I didn't actually intend to kill EVERYONE. It just sort of happened.

Base turns to look at Kallond. "Vermin can destroy almost anything. They don't have to want to eat Base to render Base inoperable. Base likes the idea of summoning rats to deal with rats."

Kallond shakes his head. "Alright, we've wasted enough time arguing and I am clearly outnumbered. Let's go kill these rats, together, and quickly."
Kallond waits for the others to move out, particularly the one holding their current source of light, and then follows along, back towards the room where they encountered the rats.I didn't actually intend to kill EVERYONE. It just sort of happened.

Heading back to the room where the rats tried to ambush the party, carefully lest you alert them before you know their position, you find that the room is untouched. The door remains closed. Perhaps they have scampered off?

"It seems our pests have moved on. Perhaps we should follow suit and press on as well?"
Despite his suggestion however, Kallond remains behind Base, firmly near the center of their light, sword and shield at the ready.I didn't actually intend to kill EVERYONE. It just sort of happened.

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
((You are entering from J2))
You open the door into a ten foot wide hallway that runs to the east and west, the east turning into a larger room towards the south while the west turns north. In the middle of the hallway in front of you is a lone, small skeleton, bits of clothing and leather armour still clinging to its frame. On the wall in front of you are two doors, one on the far left, one of the far right, both lying open without giving a clue as to what lies beyond.Let's Play: Pokemon Leaf Green (Nuzlocke)

Re: The World's Pinkest Dungeon (IC)
Teebeay eyes the body, trying to figure out it's species, in at least a general sense. "I do hope that isn't Longtail, it could make us getting out reward..." He trails off for a second, lost in thought. Finally, he continues, "Difficult."
