The Second Division Lieutenant easily detects Siegfried before he enters.

"Hey, Yen-san. Heard you got back, and thought you might want some of Captain Satoshi's get-well sake."

*hefts bottle from the backpack he's taken to carrying*

"Up for a game of chess?"

good job. Lieutenant. That's just what he needs at the moment. Toshiko says with a smile in his eye. I would join you, but i'm a bit busy at the moment. Make sure to make up for me. With that, he'll give a wave, then shunpo to the 6th division barracks. He'll head inside the captain's office and wait there for him, thinking on what he's going to say.

Koujin pats his fellow captain on the shoulder. Don't worry, you'll get your turn soon enough...probably too soon for anyone else's liking. He thinks for a minute. [I]"Say, how about after this meeting, you and me spar a little. That'll be fun, right?"

Shirubaru brightens up, his tantrum over missing out on the Espada battle almost forgotten in an instant. Sounds good, he says. But if you use kido at any point, I won't be holding back from then on.

Ryuuji arrives at the First division's headquarters as quick as he can, not having been able to see the outcome of the duel. "What did I miss?"

Painfully, Captain Satoshi spoke up. "Yeah, I think I lost a couple teeth to one of the hits I took, not to mention generally getting beat up some."

"I can mend your general wounds now, but unless you have, or can locate, your teeth... you'll have to come to my office at some point so we can see about regenerating them."

Though the tone is sarcastic, Satoshi is smiling (showing a missing incisor), indicating he's not very annoyed.

Yen smirks as Horo-sha quickly disappears, nodding weakly to Siegfried, his voice is weak, barely above a whisper

"Ah....both would be great ya Sieg-kun...you missed a hell of a patrol ya did....Espada and all that running around...."

Yen coughs lightly as he sets up the board

"Thought for a second or two I was gonna bite it ya know? Where are the Captains? I thought for sure....well never mind....lets play"

[Sucrose]

Siegfried's eyes widen.

"Espada? That's terrible! Did everyone make it out alive?"

*Pushes a pawn*

"As for the Captains, I understand they're having a strategy meeting. I'm guessing your patrol is the main item for discussion."

[Innis Cabal]

Yen nods, trying to pat his chest, wincing

"Alive but not without some scars...."

Yen moves a pawn of his own

"The bastards made me miss a free bowel of ramen...."

[Sucrose]

"Truly tragic," Siegfried smirks.

He shifts a knight, then pours a cup of sake for his injured comrade.

"Would like to know what they were doing. Maybe we could sneak into the Captain's meeting?"

Yen moves another pawn forward, taking the sake and nodding

Captain Katsuhito came as quick as he could from his secret excursion to the real world, and shamefacedly walks through the door, being late was the worst thing in the world for him. Sotaicho-sama, he says with an awkward bow, I am deeply sorry for my tardiness! He quickly takes a seat.

Ryuuji leans on the wall and listens intently, saying nothing, considering his player is deadtiming for now.

Kenji sat cross-legged in the middle of an empty room, all of the Shoji screens closed. His eyes shut, his hands set palms-up in his lap, his breathing slow, but pained. In front of him his Zanpaktou sat, tip sunk three inches into the Tatami mats of the floor, sheath set off to the side.

Kenji strained with effort, a frown on his face, as he tried to unravel the twisted, incomprehensible riddle that this task posed for him. He couldn't help but think back, to those rare two or three times in the past, when had he just...understood. Everything just fell into place in his mind, made so much sense, and almost immediately. Kenji didn't know how it had happened, but he wished that it would happen again now. However... he knew that it would not. It was not given for him to simply... Understand, not that way. And so he sighed, furrowed his brow, and attacked the impossible question with tireless determination.

In front of him, the masterfully worked Katana, not forged by human hands but of his soul, gleamed in the light. The dim candlelight played down the edge of the blade... and refracted harshly at the shattered edge. all the way down the sharp side of the blade the metal was chipped and jagged, cracked and hurt. Kenji could feel the Spirit of his blade in pain, its injuries quite severe. Save by destroying the hilt, which was no easy task, a Zanpaktou could never be destroyed. But that did not change the pain that the Weapon now bore. A cry of anguish whispered through Kenji's mind, and his stomach twisted in empathy, and guilt for his sword's injuries. Kenji's breaths grew fast and sharp, his hands began to shake, but he did not relent. The muscles in his stomach cramped, but he pressed on. Slowly, a small crack near the hilt of the sword seemed to twitch, and then, achingly slowly, closed. Kenji gasped, his eyes opened, and he reached up to wipe beads of sweat from his forehead. He looked up at his sword, whose every chip and crack he had learned by heart. His breathing began to slow, and his heart rate settled. Immediately he noticed the tiny, tiny difference from when he had seen it last. Kenji could not feel satisfied, however. A subdued whimper of pain crept out from the sword, and Kenji closed his eyes, throwing himself back, back into that Inner World, without hesitation.

On the floor behind him the trickle of blood had become a small pool, staining the tatami mats red from the large gash that split his Shihakshou from the middle of his back up over his Left shoulder, the tattered black cloth obscuring the untreated wound that lied beneath them.

Siegfried nods.

"If I fall behind, I still have the energy for shunpo; just move as fast as you can manage."

With that, he heads outside, and readies himself to follow Yen as best he can.

Katsuhito-taicho, not completely bewildered by the Sotaicho's uncanny knowledge, but still takes on a somewhat surprised expression. His face becomes sullen and grim as he states, There were several Espada attacking the real world as you know. But, I believe they had an ulterior motive. I believe that they had been indeed targetting Yen Fuku-taicho and aimed to bring him into their dastardly domain, but were interrupted by a new Espada. He turned out to be named Takeshi... and he is the Segunda Espada...

Daisuke's eyes go wide for an instant, before he goes back to a normal expression.

Segunda, eh? Interesting. What ranks were the other two Espada?

Yen staggers out, waving at his friend and booking it as swiftly as he can towards the Captains meeting summoning a hell butterfly



"Kenji...I need you to run interference....make sure to be waiting for my signil...going to go and spy on the Captains Meeting."

The one that attempted to seize Yen fuku-taicho was the Sexta Espada, and the one accompanying him was the Tercera Espada. he said sternly.

So, Takeshi is the Segunda...

Now he was truly surprised but continued nontheless, Y-yes, um, they became infuriated but could do nothing as the Negacion carried them back to Hueco Mundo.
