[ACRO] GLoG 29: Under New Management

Quinn smiles over at Misaki. So, you having fun here, squirt?




Dani, wearing ear protectors and shooting goggles and blazing away, doesn't notice Corentin at first.

[Morty]

Wenomir stays in the detention block, planning improvements and watching over Shrike.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki nodded happily. "I really like it here."

Corentin moved behind Dani, grinning slightly at the odd sight of such a small and slight person involved in such a martial activity. He waited until she began reloading the weapon to tap her on the shoulder.

[The Bushranger]

Me too. There's lots of great people here. We don't always get along, but I think I can make a home here. Quinn leans back a little, folding her hands behind her head and stretching.



Dani squeaks in surprise and spins around, eyes big, then grins and removes her earmuffs. Cory! Hey. What's up?



Shrike, meanwhile, starts to come around down in detention...

[Morty]

Rise and shine, says Wenomir from behind the bars.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki nodded as she used her trowel to pat some earth into place around the base of some roses. "And there's so much to do here! Quinn, we can go swimming some time, right?"

Corentin smiled. "It has been some time since we last spoke, Miss Dani. I hope you have been well."

[The Bushranger]

Quinn grins and nods. Of course we can! Any time you'd like. That I'm not working in the Infirmary, anyway.



Well, I've been better, Dani admits with a shrug, but things are looking up! How's things for you?




Shrike just gives Wenomir a mildy groggy glare as she sits up.

[Morty]

Enjoying your cell? Says Wenomir cheerfully.

[Neon Knight]

"You're a doctor?" Misaki giggled. "Mama says that I should marry a doctor when I grow up."

Corentin's face grew a bit troubled. "I have been helping Miss Scarlet with her troubles. I am glad to help her, but it is painful to see her go through so much... and I do not get to see Vidalia much. It is hard."

"And I have worse news. Your sister, Miss Shrike, is in the detention blocks. She tried to kill Miss Irene."

[ThePhantom]

Marley heads into the great room.

[The Bushranger]

Well, you won't be marrying me. Quinn laughs and sticks her tongue out at Misaki. I'm more of a nurse. I have some healing abilities and such so I make sure to help people with them.




Dani looks worried about Crimson - but then her eyes widen at Corentin's last words. She did? Oh no! Are they all alright?!





Shrike manages to stand, and dusts herself off before looking around. Well, I've definitly been in worse. Now, a real holding cell, it should have more gold, y'know? Smirking at Wenomir, she then turns serious. So, I get one phone call, right?

[Falgorn]

Falgorn walks into the Great Room. "Marley. Good to see you. I recall you wanting to talk to me?"

[Morty]

I don't think so, says Wenomir sternly. Who hired you? He asks abrubtly.

[Neon Knight]

((Corentin's not in the Great Room. He's at the shooting range with Dani.))

Corentin nodded. "Miss Shrike was stunned, and Miss Irene's injury was superficial."

Misaki looked up at Quinn. "Is that what everyone does around here? Help people?"

[ThePhantom]

"Falgorn? No, I may have earlier, but not anymore. Sorry about wasting your time."

[The Bushranger]

Oh? Some sort of Good people you are. I'm sure my sister won't like the fact you denied me my right to counsel. Shrike crosses her arms and glares at Wenomir. I already told Irene. Reinholdt did.



Dani relaxes a little, and nods. That's good! I guess you've got Dorothy locked up now, then?



Quinn smiles and nods. For the most part, yes. We try to be an example of what's Good and to protect people from bad things. And we have a lot of fun along the way, too.

[Falgorn]

"Sure. Whatever. No skin off my back." And with that, he goes off to the training room.

[Morty]

We'll talk about counseling when and if you're on trial. And you won't be if I have anything to say about it. Trials are for rich evil people to avoid penalty. And Irene mentioned something about "Adam". Does it ring a bell?

[Neon Knight]

Corentin nodded. "Yes, in the detention block."

"Wow, that sounds just like what my mom does." Misaki looked down at a sort of lopsided rose and tried to straighten it out. "Hey, can I help with that to?"

[Kaelaroth]

There's a flash of light, and Cynthia appears outside GLoG, her lower lip wobbling, her purple sack-dress clutched tight, along with her blanket and teddy bear robot, as she looks around, half-terrified, half-curious. A thermos flask falls to her feet, as she bursts into childish tears.

[Falgorn]

Marcos, having been doctor for a good amount of time, goes to the Rose Garden, with his straw hat and gloves. Oh, hello. I know you, Miss Quinn, but I haven't met your friend. He smiles at the small girl. Hey there, are you new here?

[The Bushranger]

Not a clue. Shrike narrows her eyes at Wenomir. And you're a Good bunch that believes in keeping people locked up? No wonder you're the laughingstock of Acro. Now if you look in my stuff you might find the note that hired me for this job...



I should probably go see her at some point...after she cools down. Dani shrugs, seeming remakably blasé about all this.



I'm sure you could, Quinn says with a smile, moving over to help the younger girl with the rose. What would you like to do?
She looks up and smiles at Marcos. Hi, Doc. This is Misaki. Misaki, this is Doctor Marcos, our base doctor.

[ThePhantom]

"Huh?"

Marley hears the sound of Cynthia crying.

"Who is that?"

Marley goes to the front door and opens it.

[Morty]

Wenomir sighs and rolls his eyes. Childish insults won't work on me, kid. But yes, I'll look in your stuff all right.
((Is it okay to say right now that the drones confiscated Shrike's belongings while she was unconscious?))

The drone that has been watching for Cynthia immediately opens the door for her.

Greeting: Welcome to the Good League of Good!
Statement: Mrs Chelonie Amakirr has been notified of your arrrival.
Query: Would you like some cake?

Chelonie whirs towards the front door, to reach it in the next post.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki stood up and curtsied politely to the doctor. "Pleased to meet you!"

She plopped back down next to Quinn. "I wanna fight monsters and save people, just like my mama!"

[Kaelaroth]

The woman, acting like a child, just outside, wails harder, as she sees Marley, but her tears cease, slightly, at the mention of Chelonie - and cake! She nods to the question asked by the drone, slightly, tears bright on her cheeks.

[ThePhantom]

Marley stands aside.

"Am I that scary?"

Marley heads back to the kitchen, deciding that one of the best things to do at the time to make some lunch for himself, and then figure out what to do next.

Chelonie arrives at the door and tries to take Cynthia by the hand. "Come inside, love. We'll take care of you." And assuming Cynthia allows this, will whir slowly enough that Cynthia's toddling steps can keep up as she leads her inside and to a comfy chair.

[The Bushranger]

((Sure. Makes sense. ))

Just calling 'em as I sees 'em, Shrike says, leaning against the wall of the cell.

The note would be a ways back in the Taverna. BR can't go digging for the post.

OOC, Magtok hired her pretendng to be Reinholdt. But she doesn't know that...




Quinn grins at Misaki's enthuiasm. Your mother is a very good woman, she agrees.



Dani grins at Corentin. So, you gonna do some shootin' while you're here?
