Re: Mrmud's Mixed-Up and Minimally Mechanized Random Banter #121
Am I missing something here? What exactly is "The Stig"?

Re: Mrmud's Mixed-Up and Minimally Mechanized Random Banter #121
Rare.
Genius is genius.
What I often get is rare flashes of inspiration; well thought out thoughts; sparks of above average intelligence; extreme geekiness; extreme rants of RAAAAGE against common misconceptions or rants of RAAAAGE while dispensing specialised knowledge, which is hardly above average intelligence or anything, just not often widely known.
Seconded.
It's amazing and funny. I don't even particularly like cars, but I love this show.

Re: Mrmud's Mixed-Up and Minimally Mechanized Random Banter #121
I would go to the bookstore, but the only one in my town went bankrupt a few months ago and closed. Shame really. And I'm not surprised that NE is a lot like England. This place was named after it for some reason. Guess it must be the weather. I wonder, do you also get a near instant shift from winter to summer in England, or does spring actually exist over there? Here, it's just cold, then kind of warm for a week, and then it's burning.
Unless of course, rain gets in the way of all that.Avatar by Serpentine.

Since we're talking about Top Gear, which of the three hosts are you favorites? Personally, I love Jeremy in all his wondrous and offensive glory. The fact that he has done things such as setting a truck on fire and believed tape to be a legitimate way of attaching a door only make him like him more.

Re: Mrmud's Mixed-Up and Minimally Mechanized Random Banter #121
You know what I hate most about biking? The bugs! Why do they think my pupil is nirvana? As an expirienced biker, I always wear sunglasses. But then they aim for the mouth. Over the years I have developed super fast reflexes.
This time I managed to close my mouth just in time. What to the damn bug do? Sting me in the lip, that's what! Ouch.
Anyway, I think I like James May the best. I like his attitude. He acts like he thinks the other two are idiots and that the whole show is a waste of time.Bad to the Bone!

Re: Mrmud's Mixed-Up and Minimally Mechanized Random Banter #121
New Zealand is. Perfect Creature is a film, made and set in New Zealand, about a society where vampires and people coexist, but the vampires are the Church, people are protected and ruled by said Church, and it's steampunk most definitely.
More steampunk than my steampunk gun even.
Yeah, I mades it. It's a fully-functional light gun, works with a PC, for videogames.Last edited by Pocketa; 2009-06-21 at 05:43 PM.

Re: Mrmud's Mixed-Up and Minimally Mechanized Random Banter #121
We have 'seasons' as follows:
Spring: cold and rainy, especially March. We get one week of actual sumer during April.
Summer: warmer and rainy. A bit more cloudy than spring.
Autumn: colder and rainier and foggier.
Winter: cold and rainy. And foggy. And misty. Rarely a good sea storm.
Genius is exceptionally rare. Hawking: genius. Einstein: genius. Goethe: genius. Shakespeare: genius (unless you're a conspiracy theorist).
Most people are just smart ranging to incredibly smart.
It's more perception generally.
I don't have one.
Unless you count The Stig. He appears for what? three, four minutes of each episode and is easily one of the coolest people/things on TV.
And the lorry driver episode was the first episode of season twelve. It gets better.
And you must see all the specials: America, Botswana, North Pole, Top Ground Force Gear, Vietman.
I spent most of the laughing, grinning manically or hunched over trying to breathe while laughing.
You can get lots of the episodes online.

Great.
Now I realize the World has better things for every single country.
Except for Mexico, which sucks.Last edited by Crimmy : Tomorrow at 26:72 DM.

Re: Mrmud's Mixed-Up and Minimally Mechanized Random Banter #121
I've seen all those specials. I own the North Pole one on DVD. Trust me, I am not new to Top Gear. And as far as Shakespeare goes, why does it seem like I'm the only person that likes classic literature, but doesn't like Shakespeare?
And don't forget Newton on your list of geniuses.Avatar by Serpentine.

Wait... You're all that angry at each other and everyone else all the time?
...It probably says something about me that I'm slightly scared that I did something grossly stupid and in violation of the board rules whenever I find I have unread PMs... eh?
yeah, I thought so.
