Corentin moves in between Clara and the onion, a flintlock drawn and leveled. "Get away from her."

The onion would have been grabbed, but evidently Corentin stepped in the way first.

[Kaelaroth]

Or, what? You'll kill me? Clara asks, staying where she is on her seat, opening up her purse, where little bottles clink and chime.

[The Bushranger]

That sounded like it came from the infirmary - let's go!
And, jumping up, Quinn rushes in that direction.



Dani nods, and finally pulls back. I'm worried about her - about Lex. Why would she have said that then...apologised?

Tobias continues wasting away again in Margaritaville his infirmary cell, looking for his lost shaker of salt wondering if whoever is in charge here has made up their mind on what to do with him.


Sam sighs. Dani... I think Lex is going through a lot, and there's definitely something very wrong... I think she's just depressed and angry...

[Neon Knight]

Corentin regarded her levelly. "I will kill anyone who tries to hurt Vidalia or take her away from me."

Misaki followed Quinn.

[Kaelaroth]

Cute. Clara says, throwing a bottle, of a faint, green liquid at him, hard. Where'd she pick up "cute" from? How odd.

I hope that all it is.
Dani leans over and wraps her arms around Sam again.
Maybe she needs somebody. I'm glad I'm able to be here for you always...



And Quinn, in her swimsuit, arrives at the Infirmary...
I heard a scream! What's going on?

With a duelist's reflexes, Corentin pulls the trigger, his pistol spewing white smoke as it sent a lead ball whizzing towards Clara. The bottle would strike Corentin, as he didn't want to risk it hitting the bed and Vidalia behind him.

Misaki is behind Quinn, looking scared.

Sam hugs Dani back with her good arm and sighs contentedly.

[Kaelaroth]

Ow! You shot Clara in the freaking chest! Why, why, why would you shoot a giiiirl? You meany! Thankfully, she's got a healing potion in that bag, too, and quickly swallowing it down (but not before she's lost a bit of blood, and doesn't look to well), she throws another potion at Quinn, this time a pale, ethereal blue.

Oh, and, Corentin might start to feel quite... docile. To begin.

The pistol falls from Corentin's hand, smoke trialing from the barrel as he goes for another one...

But he feels slow, sluggish. He doesn't quite complete the motion, blinking as he tries to regain control of his will.

[Kaelaroth]

Clara starts for the door, hoping that her dogleaf potion worked on Corentin.

Who, by the by, might go from docile, to feeling, and, acting, well... doglike. Not a brain-drain, or anything. But he might well become excitable, and obedient, and docile, and get some rather odd new quirks. Like a tendency to raise one's leg at a lamp-post, or summat?

A tendril whips out of Vidalia's onion form and tries to smack the bottle before it reaches Corentin.

[The Bushranger]

The potion bottle flies at Quinn, who has only an instant to react!
She can't dodge it and risk it hitting Misaki.
She can't bat it aside, not enough time...

The very fabric of reality itself suddenly rips asunder.

From nowhere, a VERY large mouth appears. Roughly across Quinn's stomach - except it's about eight feet wide.

And swallows the potion bottle whole.

It'll have a while to fly and slow down before landing inside the Quinn's Ethereal body, which Clara may be able to see if she has permament True Sight or somesuch...


The mouth vanishes as if it never was.


I guess getting Far-tainted was a good thing for once.

She's glaring at Clara now.
Oh, and blocking the door, too.






Dani smiles and hugs Sam tightly before leaning back. So, any plans for the day?

No, not really, love. Sam sits back on the bed.

[Kaelaroth]

And Clara, then, swallows an intangibility potion, and deadtimes. As it's so late, it's early.

Somebody want to explain to me what's going on here? Quinn fairly screeches.

Tobias probably hears her.




Me either. Wanna watch a movie or somethin'?

Tobias pokes his head out of his infirmary cell just long enough for him to make sure Quinn's not pissed off at him, and then retreats out of her line of sight.


Yeah, sure.

Corentin is sort of leaning against the bed, too disoriented from the effects of the potion to do anything for now.

Miskai is backing away from Quinn, eyes wide, scared of the mouth that had quickly appeared and disappeared.

Vidalia falls unconscious.

Quinn closes her eyes, sighs, then turns to Misaki.
I...probably should have explained about that, shouldn't I...


Dani grins and hops up, grabbing for Sam's hand - then pausing, and giggling.
I...probably should put something on first, shouldn't I?

Sam stands up and grins back. No, no, it's all right with me.

Misaki backs up a little more. "Y-you're a monster..."

Dani pauses, and tilts her head as she looks at Sam, grinning a little herself.
...Really? I thought you would, you've always before....




Quinn pauses, then nods slowly.
It was an accident. A friend of mine who is part Far creature got kinda stuck in my head, and before she got out she...well, accidentally mutated me. It'll take a Quest to fix it.

Corwin watches the explosion through the front windows. He jogs to the infirmary. "We've got casualties outside, people." He goes to Tobias's room and opens the door. "You said you wanted to help, right?"

Miskai watched Quinn carefully, fearfully, shaking slightly. "B-but... you're still Quinn, too?"

Corwin may end up slightly perturbed by the scene he encounters. Tobias is sitting on the floor in the room, holding someone's severed arm. The bed is covered in blood. Two of the walls are completely filled with chalk, incomprehensible runes.
Yeah, what's up?

Dani sticks her tongue out at Sam before grabbing a robe from the closet, and tossing another at her partner.

Quinn nods, and smiles encouagingly. I'm completely and totally Quinn. I'm just...bigger on the ethreal plane, now.
