"Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude. But... yeah..."

Lothar shrugs and goes on "About... 8 or maybe 9 years. I was still just a child. Maybe that thing was saving the little ones for desert. But the point is: I live because our neighbours rallied and drove the thing off with their numbers and fire."

He pauses for a moment and looks over at Gavin before going on "But here? How many guards are here? How many of the people here could they take on if they decided to tell the company to take a hike or else? It's sad, most people would rather endure and pray to be spared the worst. Not me. I fight back. May get me killed but then again, I should have died years ago, if not for the courage of some people. Gotta pay back something, eh?"

Milon:

The man finished his meal, tosses some leftovers to his bear, and pulls out a sheet of paper. After some scribbling he one more nods politely and stands. "There that should get you to the witch's hut, now if you excuse me I must get back to work."

The old man smiles kindly at Milon. "Thank you, young man. We'll go there straight away. Fortune find you!"

[Inspectre]

Gavin nods at Cross's statements, and although he sighs inwardly he maintains eye contact.

"I am sure some of what you have heard is just idle rumors, but there is truth in some of the stories. I stand with the people of Falcon's Hollow, even if that means I must accept some unpleasant truths."

Gavin looks around cautiously. "We should not speak further on this matter until we are away from prying ears."

Gavin nods at the table full of their party members, who seem to be largely enjoying themselves.

"Shall we go join the others for an afternoon meal?"

[Dr.Gunsforhands]

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea. I liked it better when we were just talking about cheese..."

[The Tain]

Cross shrugs, brief and eloquent. "Understand what you mean. Not what I would have done." A pause. "Course. You're not me." A rare smile. "Probably for the best."

His concerns satisfied -- or at least sated for the moment -- Cross accompanies Gavin back to rejoin the others. "Quite the group," he comments offhand. "Usually don't work with so many. Too many cooks."

Absently, he traces a line down his forearm, following the curve of a set of wicked scars that disappear up the sleeve of his tunic.

Lothar peers over at Samuel.

"So the old man seems to have learned something after all..." he mutters as he walks over.

"So? Did that ranger guy know where that old witch lives?"

Sorry about the late reply, I've been away on a minor vacation. I'm back now.

Samuel

The old man nods to Lothar. "Indeed he did. Observe." He pushes the marked map towards Lothar and let him read over it. "The middle-northern section of Darkmoon Vale. We should be able to make good time."

Jack

Increasingly bored by the mostly small-minded lumberjacks everywhere, Jack says to her group: It appears that we have what we need. can we get going, then? Or does anybody still want to get anything done here?

[Lycar]

Lothar

"I've got more then I came for already." Lothar replies, "I'm good to go."

Lycar

[Dr.Gunsforhands]

Tajel reads the map over Lothar's shoulder. "Brilliant! And it's on the way, too. Thank you, Sam."

She swings her pack over her shoulder and nods to her comrades. "Good, then let's get moving!"
