Yes, but you can't fight Ash in Mount Silver. You can, on the other hand, fight Red. Who has pretty much the same design as the player character from the first game.

To be fair, that was mostly the fault of 4Kids meddling. In the original movie script, he was a godless abomination who decided to end all life because his was meaningless.

Any non sinnoh movie is kinda decent,give or take a bit,but once things went into sinnoh,the show and movies have gone down hill alot,I used to watch the show before sinnoh,wasn't the best,but I beared through it,now anything thats sinnoh-ish is horrible,boring,and lame,I can't stand the show anymore and stopped watching after ash beat gardenia.

IIRC Brock actually told Ash "Didn't you already know that?" Which got the answer "Yeah, but not like that!" or something similar..

To be fair, the Blastoise was probably faster than Pikachu (unless Quick Attack or Agility was used), and with enough firepower to punch through Pikachu's meagre defences and massacre the yellow rodent. Besides, it was more dramatic to beat Blastoise with Charizard. Ash may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but much of that is due to "rule of cool" trumping proper intelligent battling.

We're talking about the Pikachu that KO'd a RHYDON with THUNDER, right?
I don't think "punching through it's defenses" really matters when it can use Electric attacks to take out Ground Pokemon. Seriously.
The anime makes no sense. It has very, very little basis in the canon. Thus, I generally ignore it.
Except for... actually, I can't think of a single thing the anime has that I don't like better in the games. Even the battles (which are work in a slightly more logical manner in the anime) are better in the games, since they follow physics (sorta) and are consistent.

I like the Sinnoh seasons, especially now:
In the episodes released to America, Ash has Gliscor, Staraptor, Monferno, and Grotle. In Japan, he's evolved Monferno and Grotle into Infernape and Torterra, and has started training a Gible. That wants to perfect Draco Meteor. He got his rear handed to him by the first real rival since Gary. And Cynthia, the other awesome Champion, has appeared multiple times.

You misunderstood me. I was under impression that the anime specifically claimed that it is actually fire pokemons that are weak against the water pokemons, not vice versa. At least that's how I remember it. But then, it has been some time since I last watched it.

Well... Misty was obvious. I haven't seen enough of May to really judge it. Which region were they in anyway? My memory about the regions is fuzzy. I know it wasn't Kanto, it wasn't Johto... so which one?

And I don't even know the third one, since we never got so far over here.
