Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Gicko, you're not helping.
Closak, don't even respond to him. Everyone just move on through. There's nothing to see here. No point in getting Coffee's thread locked with another argument.Last edited by Silverraptor; 2010-05-04 at 09:02 AM.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
The characters of Murphy's Law visited my dreams the other day (well, night). Unfortunately I can't remember what it was all about or what they did. The only thing I can remember is myself thinking: "Aha! So that was the stupid thing Radic said Matt was probably doing! How silly indeed..." But I can't come up with what it was. Shame, I have a feeling it was something funny..
Oh, and then I got chased by angry Coffee. Don't know why she was mad, can't remember that either...
Okay, no one's interested, moving on! :P
Speaking of which, is there gonna be an update this week? I seem to recall that there was some Friday you weren't going to update due to exams or something, but I'm not sure.
Truly, I have an amazing memory...Alamryn Kven, a druid who tries very hard not to be useless.
Celesta Halla, a fearless barbarian.
Jheren Falconer, a drifter ranger.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Awww. If you remember, please tell!
I have four AP exams (This Friday, then Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). Monday's is Physics, AKA the "I'm screwed" exam; I fully expect to get 5s (Highest score) on the other three.
I started the comic yesterday, but I've only got about a 50% chance of posting it on Friday.
If I cannot finish and upload the comic by 5 PM Eastern time on Friday, I'm not posting it this weekend. It'll wait for next week.My webcomic!

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Alright, I love the comic(I've been reading a while, I just haven't posted) except for one thing. The font is possibly the most painful thing for me to read ever. If you'll notice in OotS, Rich uses a sans-serif font. In this case Comic Sans which is a font that is sans, or without a serif.
In case you don't know, a serif is the little line at the bottom of fonts like Times New Roman. This line helps when reading text on a piece of paper, but when read on a computer screen (even with the ridiculous resolutions we have today) it makes some people (me) have to squint really hard to read it properly. This can be mitigated through a great increasing of size of the font, which wouldn't be all that viable considering the amount of dialogue in the comic, or by using a font without a serif. But really it's your comic and the fonts are up to you. To be honest, that's pretty much my only critique, so keep up the great work! You could make a cartoon in crayons about a red square that falls in unrequited love with a blue circle, and there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house if you know how to tell a story.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
I'm sorry about that. Honestly, I just picked one that looked relatively easy for me to read that wasn't Comic Sans (And I personally prefer serif fonts). I actually put less effort into choosing the font than anything else.
But if you're having trouble reading it, I'll look for one that's easier to read. Finding another good one will probably take some time, though, so I won't be able to do it until after APs. Is that okay? Is anyone else having trouble with the type of font? (Not the size, the font type). Please, be honest.
But I'm glad you're enjoying the comic.Last edited by CoffeeIncluded; 2010-05-06 at 02:33 PM.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
My personal theory is rape.
Of course, could have killed her parents, or she took the orc-phobia flaw for a bonus feat.
EDIT: Wait; she said Forde... And Kanghaskhan is her Pokemon... This must mean that in an raid by orcs, she was in a fight (pregnant), and had a miscarriage due to stress. She would have named the baby Forde.
Or Forde was her first husband, who was killed by orcs.
PM me if any of these are m in any way close.
Forde, by the way, is the name of a character in the Fire Emblem games.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Hey, take your time finding one I am quite adept at squinting haha. Another good idea would be a slab serif font since they have a serif, but the serifs are the same size/thickness as the font... I too like serif fonts, I just wish my monitor could display them in 300dpi.
Edit: Also, poor Janine D:.. That's how it'd be with me if someone asked me to stand in a room with a bee in it... I'm both allergic and phobic.Last edited by ZerglingOne; 2010-05-07 at 01:27 AM.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
You honestly think I'm telling you, even if any are right? For all we know, that could be the name of her pet cat.
And I know that. But actually here it's short for Fordeham.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Aww, poor Janine, she's afraid of orcs.
Okay, i really want to know where that phobia comes from...
And Matt hates elves
Something we have in common then.
...Why do i get the feeling that inter-party tension is going to skyrocket pretty soon?

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Oh, don't worry about that, my fingernails are so short that there's no idea to even use nail polish, much less have a manicure. However, I do have karate as a hobby...
But about the new comic:
Well, first of all I'm glad that Coffee was able to update this week in the first place. And this one was a particular good strip too, it gave us a little more information of all the main characters, which is always nice. Janines reaction makes me curious, but I shall be patient.
